We stayed for five nights as we were in town for a conference. We were greeted by a really nice man who upgraded our room to a suite and let us pick which side of the building and which floor we wanted. Pros and cons of our stay. Pros: really nice staff over the entire stay. Bed was comfortable and room was kept spotless. We had breakfast every morning and it included fresh waffles, danish, eggs, sausage, fruit, cereal, muffins, bread, coffee and juice. Again, this area was always clean. Parking was easy. Thai restaurant a block away was fantastic. There were two refrigerators in our room along with a microwave and coffee maker. Plus a desk, table and recliner. Cons: the tv was very small. Couldn’t even read headlines at the bottom scroll. Both tv and internet went out several times, but always came back. AC was noisy, but did work fine. Walls are thin and we could hear the tv in the next room and muted conversations. At one time, this hotel was high end, but no longer. There was a shelf in the bathroom for a tv as well as in the living area, now just empty hook ups. Our price for the five nights was $700, which felt high for the room. All in all, a decent place to stay and it was centrally located.

This older hotel was chosen expressly for it's location. It's directly across the street from the launching property for the Hot Air Balloon Ride we were taking in the morning. It's pet friendly, comes equipped with an indoor pool and hot tub, Free WiFi, a game room, and an exercise room, and a guest laundry, but not laundry service. It also serves a hot breakfast beginning early enough for guests to walk across the street in time for the launch, which was important to us. We found the owner helpful and friendly. Parking was outside the rooms, which were comfortable, but not fancy. It was suited to our needs.

We have stayed a night at Pagosa Springs Inn in July for the last three or four years and considered it less than a four star experience, but it sufficiently checked all the boxes and was a fair deal at $89 a night. It is likely a secondhand, mom-n-pop operation that is likely being operated on a tight budget. This time, we stayed the night on July 5th and it was now $150, which we would have been fairly okay with based on our past experience. This time, we were given a lame excuse for WiFi not working -- SORRY! We were given a room with a rattling A/C fan and the thermostat was inoperative, so my spouse got no sleep as the room was hot without the a/c turned on. At 5am, the guest next door turned their TV on loud enough that any last chance of sleep was eliminated. The cooked breakfast was still as sparse as when the price was $89. Would you knowingly pay $150 to stay in a place with no WiFi and room conditions that would prevent you from sleeping? We informed hotel staff of our unhappiness with the problems and were offered nothing but a verbal "SORRY." We seriously doubt that we can afford to give this place another chance...

This hotel is nothing special but it’s clean, comfortable and reasonably priced. The west side location is near amenities such as restaurants, grocery, etc. so you don’t have to fight traffic into downtown. We enjoyed coffee at Higher Elevation down the street and dinner at Thai Pagosa next door. Complimentary breakfast was eggs, sausage, waffles, yogurt, cereal, bread products, juice/coffee/tea. Exercise room is sad with one bike & one treadmill, neither are new. Hotel staff could use some training on customer service.

My wife and I spent three days at Pagosa Springs Inn and Suites. When we checked in, we were greeted by the very pleasant owner. He upgraded us to a King Suite at no extra charge. We felt very welcome, and valued as guests by everyone who worked there. The furnishings may not be as fancy as some, but everything is clean and maintained. The bed was comfortable. The breakfast was comparable to that of the chain hotels. Overall, an excellent stay in a beautiful place. We would definitely stay there again.
