We have stayed in the hotel rooms and cabins, both are clean and nice but the beds and pillows could stand an update. The location is perfect (easy to the slopes and to town) breakfast is great, the three outdoor hot tubs are awesome, plus the new owners are very accommodating.

You have a point about the beds and pillows-we are in the middle of updating many things, including linens, pillows, etc. We would like to wave a wand and instantly transform everything the way we would like, but being on a budget like most of our guests, we have to do things incrementally, and when weather permits. But keep coming...

Will most likely stay here if returning to Pagosa Springs or Wolf Creek. Excellent amenities including hot tubs, sauna, cabins, and sledding hill in the right season. 20 min from Wolf creek and even closer to pagosa springs, which was nice since it was away from town a little.

We enjoyed hosting you during your recent ski trip! The snow was great, and we had a wonderful winter at HCL with old friends and new ones! We hope to see you the next time you come our way. The welcome mat is always out. Thank you for your review, and letting your fellow travelers know your experience here.

We had a great time at High Country Lodge in Pagosa Springs! The staff was extremely friendly and helpful in suggesting area restaurants. The property is located just outside of town and is a wonderful place to stay. We can't wait to visit again!!

Rooms are a little small, especially the bathroom. However, the are nice, clean, and comfortable. Hot tubs were an added bonus after a long day of skiing. Good advice on places to eat when we checked in. We really enjoyed our stay.

Thanks for choosing High Country Lodge for you ski trip! The hot tubs are a treat after a full day at Wolf Creek, especially if the stars are out and there's a full moon! We are glad you had a great stay and hope you will return often. We appreciate the kind review!

Always a great place to stay. We wouldn't consider staying anywhere else. We have stayed in several different accommodations at High Country Lodge. They can accommodate any size crowd with rooms and cabins. We book a year in advance to insure getting the cabin we want.

We enjoy all our guests, but we have a lot of special people who come back year after year, who have become what we call "High Country Lodge family", and we look for their return time after time. Thank you for being part of that, and letting others know your experience here. We appreciate you very much!

My wife and I booked a lodge room for our trip to wolf creek. High country lodge exceeded our expectations. The staff was friendly, the rooms were clean and had all the amenities we needed. The free breakfast was perfect.

Just outside the town of Pagosa Springs, you have to drive to get to any restaurant, but the location itself is pleasant, with a small pond and place to sit and watch the ducks. We had a standard room, which was comfortable but nondescript; the inn also had cabins that are probably more charming and roomy. Highway noise is a...

Thank you for lodging with us-we enjoyed hearing from you. Our rooms are pretty standard, but since we are now under new ownership, we are working on upgrades and amenities to better please our guests. Our cabins are quieter since they are located against a hillside in the trees, and also very suitable and comfortable for couples or larger families....

This place is located a couple miles outside of town. We had a double queen room on the lower level facing the parking lot. The room was average and the beds fairly comfy. There's cable TV, fridge, microwave, hair-dryer and lots of hot water. You can borrow from shelves of DVD's and return them in the morning. there's also board...

It sounds like you had a great time while staying here, but it was a short visit. We enjoy helping our guests find the perfect hiking...
