We stayed back in June 2020 only for couple nights, a weekend to be clear, Stayed on a site by the river, beautiful, Very clean, very friendly, We will definitely come back again. Visited the Pagosa Hot Springs, the outdoors, wow, very relaxing, barely any people which we were concerned about at first but worked perfect for distancing.
If you value your first amendment rights and freedom of expression in your own home then this is NOT the place for you. We visited this place and recommended it to friends with a motorcoach. Upon arrival they were told to take down their Trump sign from their window. Regardless of your personal political views you should be able to display your candidates on your window, bumper , etc. They would not give them their refund so they had to stay. They will not return and we don’t recommend this for our traveling friends.
We made these reservations in the winter months, and believe they stay full most of the summer. This is an extremely well maintained motor coach resort that sits above the San Juan River. The majority of sites surround a beautifully landscaped pond with wildlife statues. We were up near the clubhouse/office, where several times a week the owner, Dane and his friend Miles, offered breakfast as well as a pot luck during the week. Internet was excellent where we were and we could easily stream Netflix. Sites all paved with great covered patios. For motor homes this is absolutely the best place to be in Pagosa! Dane & Miles were delightful hosts!
We have been rving for 15 years and this resort rates in the top 3 parks we have stayed in. It is a beautiful park with meticulous landscaping. The sites are very nice and spacious Each site has a storage cabin with a small patio with table and chairs. With all that being said, sadly we will never return. We had a Trump sign displayed INSIDE our coach in the front window. Within 15 minutes of arriving we were asked to remove it by the owner as it might offend someone. We politely took it down but felt our first amendment right was violated.
Spent 10 days here in what is probably the most upscale RV resort in Pagosa Springs, located on the eastern end of town. The facility is top notch and the owner was an equally accommodating host. It is a Class A only park and there are long-term owners in the facility, so you will have to abide by the HOA rules (we worked around a couple of those nuisances with the owner...no problems). The slots were very spacious, well maintained and we leveraged the storage shed (very nice shed) for bicycles, etc. Easy access to town and right on the river. Beautiful. What keeps me from going a full five rating are: WiFi was spotty which is annoying for both streaming and working from the RV (needs to be perfect at this price) and a number of the slots (like ours) are right on the main road into town, so there is road noise from cars and trucks, if you have the windows open. I wouldn't hesitate to stay again, assuming the WiFi issues get addressed.…
