The campground was amazing! I am not familiar with the area at all. Google helped me find the cabin, which was perfect! Everything I needed in the cabin and even laundry facilities on site. My husband even traded a book at the "library" in the lodge. The dirt road was a bit tricky since we came in at 10 pm.... More

My husband has been visiting Sportsman's since the late 70's purchasing bait and other supplies from the store. Last week was our 2nd couple visit to the campground. We stayed in the Ponderosa Cabin for a week and took advantage of all the facilities in the Lodge including making cinnamon buns in the oven for breakfast! Our friends who were... More

We choose this camp ground because our other choice was booked. Good thing!! This place is spotless and has great hosts. The spots are small, but I managed to back in our 39 ft. 5th wheel in the dark okay. They rent Kawasaki quads, so we towed one to a pre determined parking lot on our way to the Continental... More

12 miles of gravel road through the san juan national forest lands you and your rv closer to heaven than i have ever seen. Views are stunning and breathtaking. Amenities like the horse barn and game room are fantastic. Showers are clean and simple to use. Campsites are perfect. Jon (the owner) was extremely caring helping us plan driving distances...... we camped here in July 2015. It takes a while to drive to but it was worth it. Showers and a kitchen just steps away from our campsite. There is also a lodge with games, puzzles, a pool table and a foosball table. Our family called it resort camping. We will come back.

Hello, My wife and I stayed at Sportsman Campground for 3 Mo, From May 1st till July 21st. Just an awesome campground to stay at, the restrooms were always clean and fresh and ready to be used at any time. The sites are large and level, with a fire pit at each site. There is a Very Large lodge /... More

After researching our tent camping options in the area, I decided on this off the beaten path CG for a 5 night stay for the July 4th weekend, and was not disappointed. They had already booked the tent space ( it is not an area with a bunch of tents, only 1 family at a time), Jon gave me a... More

We stayed at Sportsmans a couple weeks ago while in the Pagosa Springs area. The area around the campground has top-notch scenery - among the best in Colorado. The campground is located in a forested area and there are good amenities like a lodge room with a pool table, a small store, playground, etc. The staff was really nice as... More

Thank you for the review. Sometimes we do get large groups that can get a bit louder than normal when they gather. We do have a strict 10pm quite time policy and I apologize if I did not make sure the group quieted down on time. I will be sure to be more aware next time we have larger groups... More

Very nice campground outside Pagosa Springs. Lot's of opportunity to walk the back roads with beautiful pines and rolling hills. The store is well stocked and the folks running it were nice as can be. We did have some problems with a very load party going on near us. We liked this campground because it made a good base camp... Thank you for the review. On occasion we get larger groups that can get louder than normal when they gather. I will be sure to pay more attention when we have larger groups that may be disturbing fellow guests and let them know to quiet down a bit. We hope to be able to accommodate you another time. More

We loved staying at Sportsman's Campground! After researching many of the area's campgrounds/Rv parks, I chose Sportsman's because 1) from the map, it didn't look like they tried to cram as many spaces as possible onto the property 2) the tall trees and 3) it was out of town, near some good fishing spots and hiking trails. All of my... More
