We stayed here one night while skiing at Wold Creek. This place is adorable! The rooms are small, but perfect. The El Camino Lounge was a bonus and the food truck behind the hotel, was a bonus plus! The decor was cool, views are amazing and service was perfect. Will definitely be back!
Our family stayed in a double queen and a single queen. Rooms are small but so well thought out in design and decor. No a/c which we didn’t realize BUT with powerful fans AND even though daytime was in the 90’s, rooms were fine. Nighttime temps dropped into the 40s. Beds and pillows were comfortable. The best part of the hotel is the food truck, bar, and live music. GREAT tacos and brisket sandwiches, nice selection of beers and craft cocktails, and we were lucky enough to be there on a Friday night when they had a talented band playing —- it was a little challenging to find a spot to enjoy the band AND social distance but it was still possible. Staff were all super friendly and helpful. Pleasant breakfast offerings in a lovely location — we enjoyed watching a hummingbird drink from a feeder there.…

We are Pagosa locals and have been a fan of Motel SoCo from the beginning! I’m taking some time out to review some of our favorite places in town because of COVID and its effects on our town cuz we are all stronger together! Motel SoCo has hosted birthday parties for us, a graduation party for our son and has been our go-to “grab a drink after work” regularly over the last few years. We love the staff, love the outdoor area and always feel right at home when we are there! Grateful for this Pagosa hangout!
I'd possibly enjoy this place more when we're not in the middle of a pandemic. They had posted guidelines on the property and all over their instagram page but weren't quite following them all. Many staff members and the vast majority of guests were not wearing masks in El Camino. This was unfortunate, as we decided to keep our reservation here since they seemed to be taking it more seriously than some places. I would agree with some other guest comments that the staff are all friendly, which often led to them entertaining friends on the property vs. being more guest focused. I'd also agree with others that it's loud here. I've stayed at several roadside motels in CO, and this one by far has the most traffic and neighboring room noise. We had the windows open at night since our stay was in July and the fan alone didn't cool the room down enough to our comfort level. Even with the fan on high and our own box fan we brought on high, I awoke a few times to road noise and neighbors' doors or dropped items. On the upside, they have an affordable nightly room rate, even during a popular holiday weekend. The king bed and pillows were comfortable and the large shower was nice. It was good to have a mini fridge, but we were surprised there was nowhere to store clothes. I'm not used to having to ask a place if they have a closet or clothes hanging area, even in a motel. There were some coat hooks so we used those, but the rooms could benefit greatly from even just a u-shaped pipe with hangers above the bench in the room. I'd consider staying here in the future when there's not a pandemic, but it probably wouldn't be my first choice unless I was on a budget.…
