We were delighted by the kindness of the innkeepers, delicious coffee, comfortable beds, fluffy pillows, cleanliness, and fun hipster vibe of the place. Succulents and crystals adorn the bar and breakfast lounge. The rooms are updated with brand-new flooring & fixtures, fresh paint, and trendy furniture. Breakfast in the morning includes quality coffee and basic essentials. Locals rejoice in the live music. The one and only downside is that you can hear the traffic from inside the room, but Pagosa “traffic” is very light so it wasn’t enough to bother us and certainly didn’t keep us up at night. Ear plugs were provided at the bedside ok for super-sensitive ears. Excellent value for all the amenities. We would definitely visit again. Bonus: pet friendly!! 🐶🥰

Our family stayed in a double queen and a single queen. Rooms are small but so well thought out in design and decor. No a/c which we didn’t realize BUT with powerful fans AND even though daytime was in the 90’s, rooms were fine. Nighttime temps dropped into the 40s. Beds and pillows were comfortable. The best part of the hotel is the food truck, bar, and live music. GREAT tacos and brisket sandwiches, nice selection of beers and craft cocktails, and we were lucky enough to be there on a Friday night when they had a talented band playing —- it was a little challenging to find a spot to enjoy the band AND social distance but it was still possible. Staff were all super friendly and helpful. Pleasant breakfast offerings in a lovely location — we enjoyed watching a hummingbird drink from a feeder there.

Good choice for the price in that area. Nothing fancy, but pleasant due to cheerful flower arrangements outside, and fresh paint. I stayed in a basic queen room that was stylish (in a rustic way) and comfortable given that there wasn't much space besides a bed. The small room worked pretty well with some hooks on the wall, a luggage stand and a generously-sized bathroom. The walls are thin; we could hear the dog next door drinking water from a bowl! Also there is noise from the busy road, however the hotel's management recognizes this and provides ear plugs. I didn't have trouble sleeping due to noise. Contrary to some reviews, we had the option of coffee in the room and also in the lobby. I was surprised to see complaints on this site about "no breakfast" since it clearly isn't offered. This is a bare-bones hotel; what you see is what you get.

I'd possibly enjoy this place more when we're not in the middle of a pandemic. They had posted guidelines on the property and all over their instagram page but weren't quite following them all. Many staff members and the vast majority of guests were not wearing masks in El Camino. This was unfortunate, as we decided to keep our reservation here since they seemed to be taking it more seriously than some places.

I would agree with some other guest comments that the staff are all friendly, which often led to them entertaining friends on the property vs. being more guest focused. I'd also agree with others that it's loud here. I've stayed at several roadside motels in CO, and this one by far has the most traffic and neighboring room noise. We had the windows open at night since our stay was in July and the fan alone didn't cool the room down enough to our comfort level. Even with the fan on high and our own box fan we brought on high, I awoke a few times to road noise and neighbors' doors or dropped items.

On the upside, they have an affordable nightly room rate, even during a popular holiday weekend. The king bed and pillows were comfortable and the large shower was nice. It was good to have a mini fridge, but we were surprised there was nowhere to store clothes. I'm not used to having to ask a place if they have a closet or clothes hanging area, even in a motel. There were some coat hooks so we used those, but the rooms could benefit greatly from even just a u-shaped pipe with hangers above the bench in the room.

I'd consider staying here in the future when there's not a pandemic, but it probably wouldn't be my first choice unless I was on a budget.

We were traveling through on long drive trip with dogs and needed pet friendly. Research showed interesting options in this town with few typical chains, so we took a shot at this unique sounding motel. Staff highly accommodating as we were a late arrival after from desk was closed. Room was small, but very clean. Needs updating and better lighting. Big negative - no air conditioning. Also no Tv so bring laptop or iPad if that is important. Right off freeway so vehicle noise is significant but they do leave ear plugs in rooms. Walls are thin as well. Property looked fun. We didn’t have time to check it out, but there was a lounge and restaurant with great outdoor seating area and people were playing frisbee and bags when we pulled in.

If you are not a hotel snob (we may be) and are interested in a more rustic Colorado hotel experience- this is your perfect place!

Good laid-back style and vibe, good decor, and friendly front-desk staff. Very comfy bed. Only 3 stars because there is no microwave in the room, the fridge is extremely small and inconveniently placed, and there is no coffee in the room. Also, there was water on the floor by the door when I walked in. Almost slipped on it, whoopsie daisy! For the price, I do expect at least some coffee. Also, there is no TV in the room which is fine for me, but just be aware of that. Tourist area so I guess the price is good compared to the others.

I loved staying at this little motel. It is family-run and they have put a lot of thought into making it homey and a fun place to stay. We paid $273 for a two queen bedroom for 2 nights. I'm used to staying at bigger hotels where you can show up whenever so unfortunately did not pay attention to the email about making different accommodations if arriving after 7pm. We were attending a play and didn't have good reception but I tried to communicate with the poor guy who was trying to leave work and still get me checked in ok. We figured it out eventually and I was happy to be in our cozy room. There are no tvs in the rooms, which I'm not sure many people would miss these days. The bathroom was cool, slate. We could hear every word from the people in the room next to us the next morning, but I don't know what can be done about that and it definitely didn't impact our sleep or anything. There was breakfast in the lobby: fruit, pastries, a variety of teas and coffee. There were lots of games and space to hang out with friends/family, and room to explore/walk/hike.

We read about this Motel in Sunset magazine. It was a bit too minimal for my taste, for example: very small room, no A/C, no wall plugs near bed, no coffee or microwave in room, tiny fridge, only one chair at each door front (so you need to carry more outside). On main road but did not experience road noise. Nice little bar on property.

The service is great and the room is clean. The room is average. Small space. This was good the first night. It was 17° outside and we did not know how to work the heater. The little space heater warmed up the room after just a little while. There is no dresser, closet, hanging bar, or such place to put clothes. Watch your shins and toes on the bed frame. The bed is VERY firm and has several layers of blankets in case you do not know how to work the heater like us. It is great for basic needs and is clean.

Loved this place. It's a funky, fun mix of rustic and retro (mid-century modern). The rooms are simple but very comfortable. Really great shower!. The motel includes a wonderful lounge with happy hour every day featuring some wonderful and innovative craft cocktails, with live music some evenings. All of the staff are terrific. A great base from which to explore all that Pagosa has to offer.
