We stayed at the St. Elmo on October 5th and 6th and thoroughly enjoyed it. It has been recently remodeled and is quaint and charming. The proprietor is very friendly and hands on. The rooms are comfortable. The free breakfasts are delicious. You will enjoy your stay.

We were traveling with another couple and stayed here for one night. All of us agreed it was an excellent choice and were very impressed with this hotel. It has been meticulously renovated and is not only beautiful but very comfortable, as well. The owner is on site, friendly, and very helpful. There are no tv's in the rooms but...

We spent one night at the St. Elmo Hotel before driving through the San Juan Mountains to enjoy fall foliage on the way to Mesa Verde National Park. The St. Elmo Hotel is a charming boutique bed and breakfast hotel--eleven rooms; each room is unique and decorated with both antique Victorian and reproduction pieces. Be sure to read the history...

Upon checking in at the St. Elmo, Mr. Garrett showed us room #1. We inquired if the windows could be opened and if it was quiet at night. He affirmed. Upon opening the window, a noisy AC was beneath our window. When I asked if this unit would run through the night, Garrett reaffirmed that it would be off and...

We got a late start out of Manitou Springs so we didn't arrive at the hotel until almost 6 pm, but Dave the owner was kind enough to greet us with a couple of glasses of wine. Our room was spacious and clean and was decorated with cool, period apprpropriate wallpaper and furnishings. Fortunately, Dave alerted us that the highway...

New owner since last year and he is very focused on his clientele's experience. Very clean, excellent property, and lovely breakfast. The location is on Main Street, so you have easy access to just about everything in Ouray. Bon Ton restaurant is attached. High end food and the nicest restaurant in miles.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the St. Elmo Hotel. We were helped with our bags (a huge plus) and given recommendations for dinner. What a wonderful evening! Our room was very comfortable and a wonderful respite after a long day of travel.

This was my third time at the Hotel over the years. And it has always been a great trip but the staff was distant and a little cold. The new owner David and his son Blake are the best! Talk about costumer service five stars! Happy hour drinks at 4:30 meet the other guests. The breakfast has a little mexican...

We have been to Ouray 5 or 6 times over the last 10 years and have always stayed at the St. Elmo. The historic hotel rooms are beautiful, and the service provided by the hotel staff could not be better. New owner, David and his son Blake are even more hospitable and helpful than the previous ownership. When we first...

One of the best hotel stays I've had in awhile. The hotel is just incredibly unique with beautiful furnishings that make you feel like you've stepped back in time. Social hour in the parlor was very, very enjoyable. And Ouray is just incredible. Will definitely be back. Thanks David and Blake!
