The reviews were good, the desk folks were very friendly. Location great, central location to shops, restaurants, hot springs. The disappointment was, paper thin walls, you could hear every door close, people in the hot tub way after 10: and loud. We were pleasantly surprised by this older property near cliff sides. We'd arrived at Ouray about an hour before dusk without reservations and drove the streets to see where we might get a room. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Cascade Falls Lodge. They are under new management that went out of the way to make us comfortable. Would never stay here again! Over priced for what it offers. The bed was uncomfortable with only one pillow for each of us, my husband & I. The towels ar paper thin, not to mention the toilet paper. My husband asked the owner if there was WIFI and she said NO, but that we could "steal it" from the neighbours!... More

The rate advertised on their own website - http://www.ouraycascadefallslodge.com/rates.html - was $60 for a queen. When I arrived the rate suddenly jumped up to $79. If this happened in this way I am sorry. This was a weekend and on our rate page on our website underneath the rates it states the rates do not apply to weekends or holidays. Very unfriendly to families with kids. Very nosey and bothersome owner. Grumpy and spying on the windows. Not very nice people.

We at Cascade Falls Lodge do not make a habit of spying on our guests. These guests had five small children in one room while the adults were in another room. Charming, old-fashioned motel. Clean, cozy, but no continental breakfast, only coffee. Very helpful desk person. Affordable. But it is for sale. Hope the next owner keeps it all the same.

Went to Ouray on the spur of the moment trip to go Jeepin and did not have any reservations--so we just drove into Ouray and drove around and we spotted this hotel. We stayed at Cascade Falls for one night - the last night of our road trip. The owner was very nice and directed us to a good restaurant. The room was large and included a queen bed, table and chairs, desk, dresser, small fridge and microwave and a TV with a good picture (we had stayed elsewhere with bad reception).... More
