This place was absolutely lovely! Me and my Mom came up here with two of our friends who have stayed at this hotel countless times.
The service is amazing, all the staff are lovely and beyond happy to assist!
The rooms were so clean and amazing! There wasn’t even any dust on the bed boards!
The view from the balcony is EXQUISITE! You get a perfect view of the river and it is just truly stunning.
You can request house keeping to clean up your room, but you also can have total privacy if you’d like!
The room I stayed it consisted of 2 king sized beds, a sink with mirrors, a mini fridge, some bed side tables, and many other appliances!
The lobby hosts breakfasts with the cutest little breakfast items, and a bunch of options!
I must say this was the most pleasant hotel I’ve ever stayed in!

This hotel is always our standard go to when visiting Ouray. All rooms have 2 king size beds (more comfortable than most roadside hotels) and views of the Uncompaghre River. The rooms have always been clean. The owners are always very welcoming! There is a laundry area attached to the back side of the lobby and the area is very clean. The continental breakfast is your typical fare, but they do now offer frozen breakfast burritos that are decent. This place seems to sell out often, is a popular choice, and I wish had more parking. The location is very close to downtown Ouray, honestly within walking distance, as the perimeter trail for Ouray is close.

Very fun and unique decor from towel racks to the checkin area and inn porch. Room was equipped with everything we needed including a wall magnifying mirror which I really appreciated! Office staff were great and helped with any questions we had. Also, the outside deck as well as the room was extremely clean! I loved the screen on the window which allowed fresh air ( and no bugs ) inside and the ability to sleep hearing the roar of the River right outside of the room. There are 2 gas grills on site to use and outdoor picnic tables. All in all you have everything you need!

That every room overlooks the River, with rapids creating some natural white noise, is nice. The rooms have very thin walls and we could hear conversations in the rooms on both sides of us. The AC system loudly cycles on/off and when it cycles on sitting on the patio is not enjoyable. We tried to find a way to keep the AC or at least the fan running to block the neighbors noise but couldn't find a way to do that. The mattress had a large blood stain, yuck! The fancy Kohler shower head was overmatched by the low pressure so water just sort of dribbled out, which made it difficult to feel clean. The breakfast area was crowded and food choices limited. The parking area fills up as many guests bring in their trailered off road toys, this also means you can listen to someone revving up their ATV for 20 minutes every morning, and smelling the exhaust fumes. Wifi was dreadfully slow, and somewhat essential as cell service is weak in the canyon. There is an envelope to tip housekeeping and yet there is no housekeeping during a guest's stay. Best part of this place was sitting on the patio and listening to the River. A little updating, maintenance and operational improvements could make this an awesome place because the setting is ideal.

I chose this Inn because of the good ratings; however, my husband and I were a little disappointed. It's a very old lodge with outdated furnishings. It was clean however except for the occasional spider or bug that was spotted due to backing right up to the woods and river. Lighting was dim and old and some switches didn't turn anything on. WiFi is only available about 50% of the time. The office area has strong WiFi if you need it. No elevator so book a lower floor if you can't carry luggage up about 20 steps. The balcony overlooking the river had 2 chairs but when you sat in them, the rail was so high it blocked your view. Breakfast was weak. Coffee, yogurt, hard donuts and a couple other options. We would not stay here again.

We stayed at this hotel from May 30th thru June 3rd, 2021. We are a family of four, my TWO sons (16 and 20), ONE wife and myself.

The hotel is located towards the end of Main street, at the north end of town and a short distance (walkable) away from "downtown". Please note that this town only has one main road, called Main street!
During peak season, we were told that parking spaces would be quite difficult to find in town, but you could easily walk (maybe a mile and a half) to town and enjoy dining and drinking with great views.of the mountains.

The rear of the hotel faces the Uncompahgre river, with access to the river itself. So we could open our patio doors or sit on the patio and listen to the sounds of the river and just relax. There is also a trail that follows the river, which can be taken for a nice long walk.

There is a place with hotspring (not owned by the hotel) fed water, and is at a walking distance from the hotel. They do charge a fee for the usage of the pools. While we did not use it, the place seems to be quite busy all day. If that is too public for you ,the hotel has a reservable hot tub.

The hotel room was roomy with two high king beds, which were very comfortable to sleep on. The sink is outside the bathroom, which was convenient for us, as we could brush our teeth, wash my face to get rid of hangover eyes, etc. While one of our teenagers could stink up the bathtoom!

There was television available with direct tv, so we did catch the NBA playoffs. There is one of them fake fireplace with fake flame, it does add a certain charm to the room, I guess. The air-conditioning unit worked well, so did the baseboard heater (a bit slow to hear up). The breakfast was continental, with muffins, hardboiled eggs, oatmeal and cereal, Poptarts, bottled juices, milk, soy milk, almond milk, bagels and ofcourse the much loved and needed COFFEE. Yes, they had apples too. They do close the breakfast at 9:30 AM.

Jeep tours do pick you up from this hotel, and many sights are a short drive away. Sights such as cascade falls, box canyon falls, and breathtaking views of Alps like mountains.

I rate this hotel a 5 out of 5, because of the.location, ambiance, service (very prompt and friendly).

The one issue we had was that their wifi was down one day and quite spotty another day. This caused a civil war with us hapless adults on one side and two angry teenagers on the other. To be fair, the older one had a college assignment to complete. we did pull out the "life is not all about wifi" card. But it was shredded.

WARNING:If you have TMOBILE, you will have zero cell reception anywhere in Ouray. I do not know about other carriers. Pics of the river, etc.

When visiting Ouray, I hope you made your reservations far in advance because sometimes it is hard to find a room! After reading reviews at most of the other options in Ouray, it is hard to make a decision! We have stayed at Hot Springs Inn previously and we now find ourself here again. You can't beat that all the rooms back up to the actively flowing river with wonderful rushing water sounds that I love! Just wish they would hire a current interior decorator to make the rooms more up to date. There is a fake fireplace in each room that have lights behind the fake logs to give the appearance of a fire but it does not give off heat. The beds however are very comfortable. The sink is located in the room where the beds are and there is a microwave and mini fridge which is nice. Be prepared when taking a shower because the water pressure is ridiculously LOW. Oh and one more thing...we always stay upstairs (no elevator) and I always worry about the rooms beneath us because when you flush the toilet it is VERY POWERFUL and loud! The patio is a nice place to sit and relax but the internet didn't work for me out there. It is nice that the motel offers a breakfast option but the options are minimal and the sitting area is very awkward as the tables for 6 are scrunched together. Another thing...don't expect to get into your room early. We tried to get in around 2:00 and were told by the front desk, NO WAY...because they have housekeeping going on and no one can get into their room before 3:00 so we left and then had to move into our room in the middle of the rain.

The check-in/check-out/breakfast staff were all very friendly. Having the river right outside your patio/deck is amazingly peaceful and serene! The room though, needs to be updated. The headboard on the wall is the same white color as the wall. Either the wall or headboard should be a different contrasting color. The carpet was stained and needs to be replaced. Actually I think they should remove some of the King beds so that there is only 1 bed in some rooms to allow more room for a couch or hideabed. The shower has cute shower heads BUT absolutely NO water pressure...maybe they should go back to the old style shower heads so that maybe the pressure would increase. OH...be prepared for the most powerful toilet I have ever seen...you could flush a horse down that thing! The breakfast area needs to be reorganized because they are tables for 6 that are squeezed in together making it hard to get to the back of the table if others are sitting at the front of that table. Note: they do have breakfast burritos but you might not know that if you miss the small print on the little picture frame. We actually were fine with the bagels, however they don't offer flavored cream cheese but I quickly learned to either just add jelly with the plain cream cheese or purchase flavored cream cheese at the grocery store. No maid service blamed on covid. With a little tweaking this place could easily be 5 stars!

The check in was smooth. The room was cozy. The shower room has a heat lamp to keep you warm. Staff was helpful on suggestions for stores for souvenirs, results and hot spring cave to visit. They have a breakfast for you in the morning. There is a fox that comes up to the main door in the check in building in the mornings.

This had a spacious room with two king size beds, two good sized dressers, and a good refrigerator. There was also a small microwave. Good lighting with lots of lamps throughout the room, and a fake fireplace. The sink was outside the bathroom, with loads of counter space. The shower stall works well. The toilet flushes with a bang (low-flow?) but I didn't the toilets in other rooms so hopefully people didn't hear mine at oh-dark-hundred when got up to head out for the day. No exhaust fan in the shower but there is a small window to open. Good parking with external access to all rooms.
