This is a very nice large KOA, with a friendly staff and a good cafe. The tent site had grass and some shade. The bathrooms were very clean. Hot showers. The only minor downsides were the fire pits were small and did not have a grill on top and it was a bit pricy at $45+. But overall it was... More

I stayed at a creekside cabin for 4 days while in Ouray. The cabins were clean, convenient, and great in the rain. My brother and I sat on the front porch drank beer, played cribbage and stayed dry. The 4 dollar breakfast is a deal! The showers and bathrooms were very clean. They also rent Jeeps which is nice. The... More

We have spent the past 11 4th of July Holidays at the Ouray KOA. We now feel like part of the family. It is well kept, clean, friendly and one the the most beautiful campgrounds we have ever stayed. We now have 5 families we camp with each year in Ouray. Yes, you need to book ahead, but it is... More

Unlike most KOAs, this one has a good restaurant with BBQ made on premises. A local told me he comes here just to eat sometimes! The sites are great, "kabins" are cute and right on the river, tent sites have shade (I was in a tent). Also has a nice hot tub, which I utilized first thing. The only drawback... More

Reviews were mixed for this location but we wanted to give it a try. Pros Nice and close to Ouray. Beautiful area with lots of trees and our cabin fronted the small creek that ran through the camp. Well stocked camp store. Easy to find recycle bins so we didn't have to throw away our recyclables. Very nice shower/bathroom facilities.... More

Sometime within the last year they stopped providing towels in their deluxe cabins without any notification, so when I stopped in the office to ask for some, thinking they forgot to put them in, I was told rudely that they don't provide them anymore. Another staff member then did get some for us. Actually they do provide them but you... More

Customer service needs some work in the office. We get there and the girl at the front desk just throws her hands up in the air and walks away. Said she was overwhelmed so another person took over after she was done with her customer. They were very confused and became rude since they were frustrated. Prices are very high... More

We recently retired and are back to the RVing world after about eight years. We love the Ouray area and decided to camp there at the last minute. The Koa was all booked up but when asked if we could dump our grey water and fill up with fresh we were told that yes we could but we had to... More

This is more than your typical KOA, with a great riverside and wooded setting. All sites are good, near creek, lots of trees, lots of shade, away from highway, and lots of different cabins. Appeals to all types, from tents to big RVs, old and young. Most memorable was the restaurant, bar, and live bands on the weekends. They serve... More

The good is the people were friendly, the grounds were clean and the restrooms were very clean. Otherwise this campground was not spectacular. The sites were all gravel except for some patches of grass. All sites had a table and firepit. There are lots of trees, and scenery is beautiful. Internet was strong but so slow. There was no pool...
