We stayed 2 nights over Labor Day weekend. It is within walking distance to everything. Beautiful home, very well taken care of and beautifully decorated. Jen, the owner and her husband made a delicious breakfast for us both mornings and were wonderful to talk too. They really have put a lot into this place. Our room faced Main St. and was very clean and smelled nice upon arrival. Then after we settled in, we noticed there were bugs coming into the room from every open window. They were crawling in the bed, on the walls, all over the fold out couch my kids were sleeping on and the floors. They were in the coffee pot close to the window. We could not shut the windows. There was no a/c in the room. Our room was about 80 degrees every evening and there was only 1 floor fan. It was miserable. It was very disappointing because everything else was great. Our stay was ruined by bugs and the heat in that room. Hopefully if these issues are addressed they will have a wonderful place for folks to stay.…
Very impressed with our room. Immaculate and all amenities provided. Had nice big shower & bathroom. Bed and bedding was super comfortable. Wifi excellent. Refrigerator and microwave. Location at the far south end of town. We walked to everything, including the hot springs pool. So quiet at night with an open view to the mountains. Room was large and comfortable with Kodi tv, just like at home. Temperature in room was comfortable with open windows or a fan. Ouray is a friendly and interesting little town. Do not miss the town museum up on 6th street.
Excellent rooms! Right on Main street, very restful and peaceful even for being right next to US 550. We will definitely stay here again. Rooms are very clean and the hosts are outstanding. Ouray is a very easy walking town, and the Inn being at the top of Main street is an excellent location!
AlpLily is run by a family in a restored Victorian building. The rooms are large enough to be comfortable with en-suite bathrooms. The owners are friendly and the location is just a couple blocks away from the center of town--perfect to be out of the bustle yet close to everything. They've got a hot tub out back you can use if you ask about it. AlpLily used to serve breakfast but no longer does. As such, it's not really a Bed and Breakfast anymore--more of a Bed and Hospitality place. If you like something with a little more warmth than a typical motel and enjoy new experiences, you'll love it here. We'll be back.
Our family of four had an amazing experience including hospitality and kind words we were greeted with each time we saw one another. Jen is talented with baking and cooking. Our rooms was ready when we arrived and very clean! Both Jen and Mike were a joy to be around and very knowledgeable on activities to do in and outside of Ouray. Would highly recommend this charming historic home!
