We stayed at Hotel Ordway and would recommend it for anyone needing a hotel in that area. I travel for business and have stayed in many hotel chains. I found this family owned hotel to be extremely comfortable and clean. The bed was far better than those I have found in large hotel chains. The owner was very friendly and... More

My wife and I are traveling the TransAm bicycle route, starting in Vermont. We have a tandem recumbent with a trailer loaded with camping gear. So far,we've been able to stay in accomodations without worrying about our irreplaceable trike. Then we come to the Hotel Ordway, halfway between Eads and Pueblo, over fifty miles either way. Nowhere else to stay,... More

On the TransAm, this old school hotel provides needed sanctuary from the wind and heat. Carol, the owner, has done a great job maintaining this historic hotel. Our room was a beauty of period furnishings, with all conveniences and exceptionally clean and well kept.

Our bedroom was very nice. We slept well. I loved the atmosphere of the place. It's in the middle of nowhere, so it's nice to have a place to stay. Unfortunately we arrived after 8 p.m. so there were no restaurants opened. We had brought snacks and were able to get by. We loved the place!

This is the place to stay if you are close to Ordway, CO! Very clean and comfortable! Call ahead and they will cook dinner for you! Great homemade food and lots of it!!! Very friendly hosts! I'm lactose intolerant and Carol went out of her way to fix me a special meal! Homemade cookies for desert! Love this place!

This hotel is the only option for some distance around. I was offered a 'hotel' or 'hostel' room. The hostel room was $40 per night and basically meant using a bathroom up the corridor. If I had paid by credit card it would have been $45 - obviously more than the premium the hotel has to pay for the card... More

We were on a motorcycle trip and hit a very bad thunderstorm. Had to turn back and were desperate for a motel. Found this place and Carol (the proprietress) was so welcoming and warm. It was late at night and our group had gotten separated but she waited for us and made us all feel welcome even though we were... More

My husband and I are cycling the TransAm trail. We rode from Pueblo to Ordway and I couldn't resist the little hotel. Carol has done a wonderful job fixing up the hotel. I felt like I'd steppes back in time. The cafe next door was busy and the food was very good. We walked down to the grocery store and... More

My wife and I were on our motorcycles traveling from Minnesota, destination Utah for site seeing, exploring, while riding threw their national parks. Taking back roads we ended up in Ordway, Colorado. Inquiring lodging, we had only one choice the Ordway Hotel. First impression, a bit concerning until we went inside. Everything was remodeled with the 1920's, 30's, look along... More

We are bicycling cross country and have had an opportunity to stay in numerous local hotels. Let me begin by saying the owner, Carol is very friendly and a very nice lady and very accommodating. The hotel is within walking distance to a convenience store, grocery store and restaurants. The cafe next door is open for breakfast and lunch until... More
