Cute little hotel with a great location right on the roaring creek. But the staff and management are thieves and dishonest. We accidentally left some cannabis edibles and advil in the fridge, we remembered and returned about an hour later. The housecleaning cart was right in front of our room, and the staff member told me there wasn't anything found in the fridge. I told the manager I knew that was incorrect and we wouldn't be coming back, and he continued to deny they found anything. I hope the $50 of gummies was worth losing a couple who had come up 3 times in the last 6-7 weeks and were making Nederland our Covid escape destination, but we can't support a business that steals and then lies about it. We'll find another dog-friendly hotel at which we can spend our money.

The town the hotel is located in very small and quaint. Staff and people in town very friendly. Probably the only hotel in the area so they are able to charge over $200 a night during winter season. I chose this town as I was coming to Boulder for work and wanted to ski in Colorado. I'm not an expert skier so decided on Eldora which was less than a 10 minute ride. You can walk to grocery store and other stores directly across the street. Walking distance to the little town shops as well. It had a gas powered wood stove for additional heat and ambiance in the room. It did seem to be dry heat so best to have humidifier or fill ice bucket for water to evaporate into the air. Breakfast was good for small hotel. It didn't seem to busy during the week but staff stated it does get busier on the weekends. We were there during the winter. You need to visit the dining carts $$, Mountain man store $$ and Busey Brews $$$. Lounge area has board games, puzzles and chess board. they did have laundry room on site. Had to say we had an awesome 2 night stay, wished it was longer. You will enjoy this hotel and town.

The hotel was clean and the staff was okay. The rates seem a little steep for the facility. The setting of the town is great. I did like that the lodge is situated right next the the creek that runs thru town. Breakfast was okay...had eggs, a meat, coffee, yogurt, juice, water, and the highlight was the green chili.

Our small family (dog included) enjoyed our stay in this historic lodge. The location is quite ideal, we had breakfast and dinner on the back deck overlooking Boulder Creek. You can walk to anything in Nederland but it doesn't feel busy or noisy tucked up against the creek. Chris was super friendly and helpful. The interior is older so may not appeal to some seeking super sleek modern hotel accomodations but we were extremely happy here.
