We loved staying at Princeton. We expected a regular hotel room and we’re pleasantly surprised by a brand new creekside duplex that was spacious and had a kitchenette and wonderful bathroom. They had free yoga classes and took Mary’s - It was so fun even for some of our group that had never done yoga before especially in the water. We very much enjoyed the private pools. The restaurant was also pricy but very delicious. I’m not sure of the name, but whoever checked my mother in law in for her massage was also wonderful and sang happy birthday on the spot in a gorgeous voice! Thanks for a wonderful weekend of memories! The only thing we noticed was quite a few bugs, but to be expected near water and with how much rain we’ve been receiving.
The atmosphere was incredible, the creek side room was very spacious. The best part was leaving the patio door open to hear the river flowing as you drifted off to sleep! The food was all very good quality and impeccable. We will definitely return.
I went with my daughter and we had a great time. It was a beautiful property, very clean, lovely pools, and very relaxing. There were only 2 little things that i wish would be better. We tried to get massages the first night we were there and I called 2 days before we arrived to get appointments. I was told they no longer offered hot stone massages, which was irritating, and when I called back the next day, they only had 1 appointment at 7:15 pm one day and 8:30 pm the next. It would be nice if there was more than one masseuse available during the late afternoon and evening, but maybe they don't get asked for many appointments after 2? The other thing that was that there was only one person working in the juice bar all the time. That meant people were in line for 10-15 minutes at busy times (around lunch and breakfast), and adding one or more people to help just for 30 minutes during this times would make a huge difference. Other than that, it was a great trip!…
Beautiful resort ! Food was great. Only negative rooms were a little dated. We would definitely return with more of our family. We had a great relaxing time and the food was great. We were there for a wedding and it was a great place for that event
This was the last stop on our CO road trip, and it was the perfect ending. My boyfriend and I only stayed here one night, but because of their generous policies, got almost 2 full days to enjoy the facilities. We loved the adult-only pool, hot tubs, cool down tub and bar area. We also tried the creek side soaking areas, and took a short mountain bike ride, also a free perk. But the real surprise was the high quality of food and drinks. Every our 2 meals there both exceeded expectations, and drinks were tasty and generous. The only thing we didn't like was the room itself. It was clean and roomy, but very dated with minimal amenities. And in order to get an affordable room, we were very far from the pools themselves. But it was definitely worth it.
We absolutely love this place and come on a regular basis, but on this trip we had a very bad experience with Joanna at the juice bar. There was a moldy strawberry in one of the smoothies, Which happens and is not the end of the world. However, when I went back to talk to her about it she argued with me instead of apologizing. It became a very heated argument and impacted our overall stay. The place is great, but watch out for moldy strawberries and poor customer service if you mention it!
Really enjoyed our stay again at Mount Princeton Hot Springs Resort. Although we had heard of the resort, we first stayed for our 30th anniversary about 8 years ago and have been returning nearly every year sine. We usually stay in the off season but this year we booked for early August. The biggest difference other than the temps was the flowers and greenery, which were very nice especially in the meadow.
Knew in advance there was no oven in kitchen so planned meals that could be done in cooktop and microwave. That said, the kitchen was woefully lacking in dishware, silverware, pans etc. Room slept 4 but impossible layout for 4 people to eat together
The room is very outdated. There was long brown hair stuck to the shower walls. Not one hair, a lot of hair. Which I’m grossed out about other people’s hair. The bed and pillows were fairly comfortable. The room didn’t have a bedside table on both sides. Their steakhouse has 1 12oz steak on the menu. Pools are nice but the front desk will say one pool has a lazy River and it does not. It’s a walk way between two pools.
We are frequent guests at Mnt. Princeton and absolutely love the location, creek, and pools. The rooms are nice (especially the newly constructed suites), but are missing the final touches. It seems they have skimped on adding things like hooks, handles, artwork, blankets, and adequate dishes (when the room can sleep 6 and only has 3 sets of dishes). Still, I would recommend the resort highly! Just bring along your own comfort items and expect to get creative when it comes time to dry your swimsuits.
