We had a very comfortable stay at the Red Arrow Inn & Suites. We rented the Executive Suite which has 2 large rooms and very comfortable furnishings. The living room area with full-sized couch and recliner made reading and relaxing in the evenings great. The very large bathroom suite is set up nicely with plenty of room and separate quarters for toilet and shower. The room was clean and the beds comfortable to sleep in. There is a private patio just outside the door with table and seating for outdoor dining and relaxation. We appreciated the large parking lot to accommodate our truck and ATV trailer with easy maneuvering. The people at the Inn were so nice and helpful. I can really recommend staying at the Red Arrow Inn & Suites - it was comfortable and relaxing - didn't seem like we were even in a motel!

We stayed at the Red Arrow Inn on Tuesday, July 14th, for one night. We had three rooms (one standard w/two queens and two king suites).

GOOD: The front desk staff was super friendly and attentive and always wore their face coverings. The rooms were large and clean. The beds were very comfortable and we had good water pressure in the shower. They provided the option of complimentary sacked breakfasts since their restaurant was closed due to COVID. The standard rooms have great A/C.

NOT SO GOOD:
1) The suite has a jacuzzi tub, but we didn't get to enjoy it as bugs floated out of the jets when we were filling it. We reported it at check out and they promptly apologized. However, they appeared to know about the problem as they asked if they were "the little black bugs." So it was a known issue that housekeeping was not addressing.
2) Suites had portable A/C units that exhausted through the front window. They didn't cool very well as neither of our two suites never got below 76 degrees. This would not be an issue any other time than summer.

Our crew of 3 stayed at this fine establishment on our way to the Pine Gulch Fire in Grand Junction, CO.
Absolutely a great place! Rooms were clean and spacious, the bathrooms were big with whirlpool bathtubs and separate showers.
Customer service couldn’t have been better.
Edit: So, about a month after our stay I couldn’t find the receipts that I needed to give our finance department so I called and spoke to Ms. Ingred and explained the situation. She not only found our receipts but after emailing them to me she called just make sure I had received them!
If you ever find yourself in need of lodging in the Montrose, Colorado area, choose the Red Arrow.

Again from other reviews the front desk staff was nice. We had two rooms for two nights. Upon entering both rooms there were live and dead bugs everywhere. I would estimate about 20 dead ones. My daughter found two live ones in her bed. Upon seeing the dead ones we knew the room had not been cleaned enough. It would have been very hard for anyone, even the maid to miss them. Now, I understand about having to change things due to the virus but what's weird is the price didn't reflect the change. First, the pool is not available, but the price didn't reflect it. The breakfasts are pre made for you from 7 to 9 to pick up at the front desk. Have to admit it was the worst I've ever had. The orange juice was one swallow and you're done. We ate somewhere else the next morning. Again, the price doesn't reflect it. If the virus has caused hotels to change their methods of service, why do the customers have to pay the same price for things they don't receive? The rooms aren't cleaned between your stays. We had to see the dead bugs for another day. Again the price remains the same. We are all feeling the effects of the virus economically. Will never stay at this hotel again and neither will my friends or family or social net workers once I tell them about this hotel.

Dear JWR1c3, We would like to thank you for your candid review an offer our apologies that you did not enjoy every part of your stay. I am dismayed that the only thing you found acceptable during your stay was the staff. However, I do wish that you would have let us know of your dissatisfaction at some point during your two day stay! If we are unaware of what is affecting your stay we can't begin to try and fix it. To clarify a few points, it appears that you booked online thru a third party site, therefore you chose the property knowing what was included and what was not included, you also chose the rate. The rooms are most definitely cleaned between stays however for your safety and our staff we do not enter any occupied room. As we are not able to open our breakfast buffet we wanted to still offer breakfast to our guests instead of nothing, I am truly sorry that you did not like our efforts. You are correct that we are all feeling the effects of COVID, however those of us in the Hospitality industry are trying our best to still offer travelers such as yourself a place to rest & relax more often than not with limited staff and amenities as directed by state and local governments. The elm bugs this year have been atrocious and have spread quickly thru Western Colorado, please know that our entire staff along with our pest control company and advice from our local CSU Extension office is working hard to eradicate these pests. Ours is an older property so our maintenance team is working hard on sealing cracks and crevices. Quick Facts… • The elm seed bug is an insect that has newly arrived in Colorado that feeds on the seeds of Siberian elm. • Elm seed bug cause nuisance problems by moving into buildings in summer and early autumn. The elm seed bug (Arocatus melanocephalus) is a pest native to Europe and the Mediterranean region and was first detected in 2012 in Idaho. Since then it has been detected in Utah, Oregon, Washington, British Columbia, and, most recently, in Colorado. The first detections of this insect were made in July 2017, and it is presently known in Mesa, Delta and Montrose counties. With the widespread presence of its host plant, Siberian elm, this insect will likely spread through much of Colorado. This insect feeds primarily on elm seeds, but has also been reported on linden and oak trees in Utah. Elm seed bug adults become a major nuisance pest, similar to the boxelder bug, by entering homes and buildings in great numbers. Although this bug doesn't hurt elm trees, except for some sporadic, negligible, leaf feeding, and it does cut down on viable elm seeds, it is a major nuisance. When many of them are gathered indoors, they will even land and crawl on people, but they are not considered a health threat. The name and large swarming tendencies of Elm Seed Bugs suggest it is dangerous, but the harmless insect is really just a seasonal nuisance. ... The good news is they are not harmful to pets, people or plants. More than anything they're just extremely annoying, to us as well as to our guests. Again thank you for taking the time to let us know how your recent stay with us was we appreciate the feedback We hope the rest of your travels were wonderful and safe!

When you walked up to your hotel room the area outside the door was filthy. There was dirt and many pistachio nut shells. We told the people at the desk and they swept the dirt and shells under a chair on the patio. Inside the curtain was torn and when you walk into something that filthy you just do not have a really good feeling about cleanliness. We picked it for the pool and the breakfast the pool is closed and my breakfast was a fruit cup and a yogurt. I would not stay there again.

We booked a stay here and we were a little early to check in. When we asked if it would be possible to check in we were told an abrupt NO they needed the time
to clean the room. We returned at check in time and were told they did not have a
reservation booked for us. Eventually the front desk person found it. When I inquired
about the pool once again the front desk person replied very rudely that the
pool had not been working for three years. The room had not been cleaned and the carpet was filthy. We are ok with old and dated but not filthy dirty. Very rude
staff and dirty lobby and room. Would not recommend.

Giving two stars because the girl who was working the front desk was incredibly nice, understanding, and accommodating. But I truly believe that there isn’t a room in this motel that doesn’t have a bug problem. We found piles of dead and alive bugs on our window sill, curtains, bed, and on the floor outside our door. We had bugs crawling on us as we were standing in the lobby of building C. Staff upgraded us to a different room in building A and said they checked the room, but we still found dead bugs on our window sill. The rooms are not properly ventilated with AC, it was incredibly hot and stuffy, and cleanliness was a major concern. Really terrible experience for over $90 per room.

Good hotel with friendly front desk people. They actually have free breakfast that you order the night before and pick up in a bag each morning. Hotel has 3 different buildings. We stayed in "B" which is the middle building. Large clean rooms, but the TV was was too small for the size of the room. Little balcony to sit and have a drink if the weather is good. I did go to building "C" to get ice and it definitely had an odor in the hallway carpet like it had been wet. Price seemed a little high, but it is a tourist area.

The Red Arrow used to be a Best Western and was great. Now it is in disrepair, smells like old socks, the carpet is worn and dirty. When I checked into the room it smelled so bad I had to open the windows and leave the door open. Three of the four lamps in my room had bulbs burnt out. The refrigerator had not been defrosted and was iced up. Only one hand towel in the room. The Furnature in the rooms is old, scratched and worn.
It is obvious they have put ZERO money into this hotel and have let it decline into disrepair. So sad!

We loved our stay at Red arrow inn & suites. We did not make it to the local Easter egg hunt but we're able to do hunt on the big back green grassy area the children enjoyed it very much. The beds are so very comfortable and we loved the jetted tub would stay here again anytime.
