We had a very nice first time to Montrose time. We stayed in the Carriage House that gives you a bit of privacy with full cooking facilities. We enjoyed our breakfast every morning. She was flexible to arrive between 7am-10am. Great omelets and fruit. It was nice to have a no wheat, no carb selections for breakfast. We will try for another visit next September. The tree colors are at their best. We had a great time at the Black Canyons, playing golf and eating out.

My husband and I felt like we were visiting family. We stayed in the carriage house, a roomy casita with a large bedroom, very large bath and a well stocked Kitchen. Nice porch with chairs and a private drive.
The breakfast was extraordinary, we were never hungry till dinner. Kendra, the owner was very welcoming and friendly. Am looking forward to returning here soon!

My wife and I had a fantastic stay for 3 nights while golfing and looking at the autumn leaves on our trip to Montrose. The Canyon Creek B&B was wonderful. From the delicious breakfast, afternoon wine and comfortable room to our friendly and welcoming host (Kendra) we are very happy to recommend a stay here. We hope to be back in the future. We even viewed the Homecoming Parade from the porch.

I’ve thought long and hard about how to write about our experience. June 2020, pandemic time, so I searched for lodging that was free standing and would be contactless for checkin and otherwise. Communications with the owner addressed my concerns. Thus, when we arrived 20 minutes before the “assigned” checkin time of 3 pm, I was shocked to find the owner in the unit, no mask, wiping up the floor. I thought short term rentals required a rest after cleaning and before checkin. That wasn’t the worst of the property — it was extremely dirty. It had not been cleaned from the previous guests. The counter tops had spilled dried coffee on them, the bathroom counter was filthy, the mirrors had splashes from other people, the bedroom was dusty, the microwave was a nightmare. Frequently touched surfaces had obviously not been cleaned. The freezer had someone else’s frozen open food in it. I could go on but you get the picture. Even in non-pandemic times, this place would have gotten a bad review from me. As a last comment, calling this a “carriage house” is so kind — it is a garage that has been converted. There is not a nice view or anything lovely about it. Many things to look at and go “hmmmmm”. I do give the owner credit for giving us a minor amount of money back since we had to do so much cleaning. She said we should have said something; well, you now that’s an awkward situation. She could have moved us? How would we know that? How would we trust another place she has? Sorry.....

Perfectly appointed, very clean and inviting. Kendra (proprietor) saw to every detail from bathrobes to wear to the jacuzzi and evening wine. Breakfast was absolutely delicious and again, Kendra was the ultimate hostess. Excellent location within walking distance to restaurants and bars. We wish we could have stayed longer!

I travel A LOT and have stayed in too many bed and breakfast's to count, but this one gets an A+. It is a beautifully renovated house on Main (a little noisy during the day, but quiet at night), with three small but beautiful guest rooms with their own shower or bath. Every morning a wonderful omelet or delectible breakfast item is served, and coffee from the Coffee Trader across the street is brewed up. Kendra and her husband host a weekly music jam and bar downstairs, which wraps up at a decent hour but gives the guests a chance to unwind and listen to local musicians while sipping on their favorite martini. Likewise, wine and cheese are served every evening at six o'clock for the guests. The place is spotlessly clean and well appointed, and has a friendly and upbeat energy.

HIGHLY recommend.

We had a wonderful two nights at the Canyon Creek B & B. This 1909 house has been carefully restored with many nice amenities including a hot tub. It is located right in the historic city of Montrose within 5 blocks walking distance of restaurants, taverns, shops and other services. Kendra, the owner, took good care of us, provided good information about local attractions including the amazing Black Canyon National Monument of the Gunnison River. The breakfasts were excellent with french toast on one morning and southwest omelets on the next- both served with hot beverages and fresh fruit. We would recommend this as a good stay in the western mountains of Colorado.

We were visiting some friends in Montrose and we were looking for a place to stay that was different than your average hotel. We came across the Canyon Creek B and B and I am really glad we did. The owner of the Canyon Creek, Kendra met us at the front door. She welcomed us in with open arms and treated us like family. The B&B was cozy, well maintained and full of character. Our room was clean, comfortable and had a unique style all it's own. Kendra provided us with everything we needed and her employee and the cook Skyler, was at our beckoned call, and all to happy to assist us in obtaining anything to make our stay more comfortable. The rooms were great, but the breakfast was amazing. So many choices and everything was cooked perfectly. It is on Main Street so traffic noise can be heard during the day, but it's quiet at night. On Thursday nights during the summer, Main Street is shut down and the community comes out to partake in a festival called Main in Motion. The B&B turns into a live music stage, and food and drinks are served on the front lawn. Enjoy, relax and sip a frosty beverage. Cheers to you Kendra and your wonderful Bed and Breakfast. We will be back.

We stayed at the Canyon Creek B&B after a day of sightseeing in the Black Canyon of the Gunnison. A great location, it is an easy walk to restaurants in Montrose for dinner. After dinner, we sat in the spacious back yard and had a delightful conversation with Kendra and Dan. Kendra made a great breakfast in the morning, very accommodating to an early start. Bo, the dog, was a special bonus of our stay.
