Don and Barb were excellent hosts. The french toast was awesome. Dogs were friendly, room and property was clean and well maintained. We stayed at this B&B for several nights while using Montrose, CO as a base for hiking in the stunningly beautiful Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park. My stay at the uncompahgre bed and breakfast was perfect. Not only was my room decorated to perfection but I had a wonderful view. My room was decorated with wild cats. We were struggling to find accommodation on the July 4th weekend. Thankfully the tourist bureau suggested this B&B. While it is not in town, it is defintitely worth staying at. We stayed there on our way to Durango. This B&B is truly a special place. It was an elementery school back in the days, and know it features 8? spacious room, each with it's own theme.
