We stayed in the "white tail deer" room and laughed at how many deer images there were in the room. So, the 'decor by Cabelas' was a bit over done. The room was clean, quite and a good price. What really made the place is the owner, what a great guy to talk to. We talked hiking, bird watching and... More

If you like a rustic looking, clean motel than this is the place for you. The guy working the desk was very nice. The room was clean as was the bathroom. There is a small fridge and microwave as well. The only recommendation is more outlets in the room (unfortunately we have alot of electronics that need charging )

this was a vacation stay, so we really liked it when we found 2 comfortable chairs in our room. (i believe all motel rooms should have at least 2 chairs in each room. who wants to go to bed to watch t.v?) this room, like all of the other motel rooms we visited on our trip needs a fly swatter!... We paid for this room in advance via internet and left shortly after arrival. It didn't feel safe to stay there as two women with small children. And it smelled dank and musty. If you're not concerned with safety or cleanliness then I suppose this would be fine for you.

You will be very content here. This is local business.. No frills. But good clean rooms and a great price.. There a no phones but it is completely comfortable and always clean. They also allow pets..it is located across from a great Dairy Queen and there is a great Chinese Restaurant only a block away.

The owner is super nice. The rooms are interesting. In addition to our king size bed there was a nice recliner squeezed in the room which came in handy for the evening. The room was very dark and not an easy way to let some light in. There was a nice small kitchen area connected to the room, but you... More

I read all the reviews prior to staying here. First they have tried to make the place cozy and cute. It is clean and we did not have any bad smells. The beds are horrible. They are hard and you really roll to the middle. It was painful for me. It's noisy from road traffic and others coming and going.... More

I am astounded by the reviews I read. This is tied for the most gross hotel room I have ever been in. It had a powerful stink that we could not identify and it was so bad you could taste it in your mouth and throat and it triggered my wife's asthma. As stated by someone else the bedding probably... Cons: small room, tight parking, old bouncy mattress, no hanger rod or closet, no nightstands, no luggage stand, slow internet at 8 Mbps, no free breakfast. Pros: very low price, clean, everything works, free wifi, mini frig and microwave, flat TV, charming duck hunting decor, very friendly owners. If the cons are not a problem, this is an enjoyable bargain.

Stayed here with my girlfriend last week. The owner was super friendly and we ended up chatting to him for about 20min in the reception. The rooms themselves were great (assuming you like interesting quirky stuff) and were great value given how cheap it was. It was also very close to the town centre which is always useful
