Front desk Help was friendly. Beds are super super super soft. Breakfast was OK. Walls are thin Hotel is noisy. Pool is closed down for good, has a cover over it still full of a foot of stagnant water….Gross. Housekeeping staff is very very friendly. Most likely won’t stay there again.
Wens were dated and smelled funky. First night the room had sort of an antiseptic smell, the second sort of a dirty sour smell. Generally the surfaces seemed clean, and I would guess the carpet needs a deep clean. The hallway certainly did. Beds were very soft. Breakfast was lackluster, with what tasted like powdered eggs and sausage. The second day there were no waffles. Selection of baked items was very limited. Had milk and yogurt. No oatmeal other than prepackaged. There are really no common areas, and the swimming pool was out of commission. Kind of a drab place.
This is a nice hotel but a bit run down. Carpeting in hallways/rooms old and stained. And if you have any luggage, forget about the 2nd floors. Only stairs to second floor were very steep both in lobby and via back entrance. The rear entrance stairs' banister is partially blocked near the top, you cannot hold on. I was surprised! As for the breakfast, a hard pass. Minimal items to chose from and if you arrive at 830a (closes at 930a) don't expect anything but dried up eggs and such that have been sitting in warming pan since 630am. Just disappointing. They should just stop offering continental free breakfast. As for the room, not sure if it was cleaned. Found several items on the carpet, coffee cup half full in microwave. Towels were hard, kind of like sandpaper on skin! We reported the TV issue, kept turning itself off/died a few times. Front desk advised would be fixed before we returned. That same night, TV went wacko again. (Not much TV watching, just like to watch weather/movie before bedtime) On a positive note - Sheets seemed clean, bed and pillows comfy. Staff was polite and efficient. Honestly did not think this place was worth the price paid. Newer hotels in the area at similar price.…
Room was basic but clean. Price was excellent value. Front desk check in was friendly and efficient.. Breakfast was a pass. One significant weakness was paper thin walls. Fortunately, the place was half empty during my say and Monte Vists's main street gets real quiet in the evening.
The room is clean, nice , it has a tv, fridge, microwave. The best part was the breakfast, they have a mini buffet with nice options such as eggs, sausage, waffles, bread, cereal, coffee, juice… I was really happy we had such a great breakfast.
I was looking for a hotel with a pool for my family vacation and chose this hotel because of the pool. When I arrived there the pool was shut down and I asked why they didn't put on the website that the pool I under construction. I was told it was listed on the website. Just looked and It still shows there is a pool... To some it might not matter but when you chose a hotel with a pool and there isn't one it would be nice to have known! Ruined our nice vacation plan because it was so hot! Also, my room smelled of urine and I was grossed out when walking on the floor so I used extra sheets throughout the room on the floor. To top it off the day manager/concierge was rude and straight-up racist to all Hispanics, Asians, and those not of white color. He watched every move we made like they do in clothing stores. He answered questions rudely and in disgust. I do not recommend anyone with color stay there. Even the people of white color were uncomfortable with his behavior. It's a shame they have someone like that as the hotel customer representative. Especially now days!!…
Not too expensive and a heated, indoor pool. Happy staff, kitchenette in room. Bunk bed, king bed, and pull out sofa. Big and roomy. Very clean. But, no elevator. If handicapped, be aware. Would definitely recommend.
We stayed over-night when driving through Colorado to go from Cortez to the Springs. The place was ok, I mean the room was clean and comfortable. They have two stories but no elevator so we were happy to be on the ground floor since my husband has bad knees; however, the hotel is either not built well or an elephant was staying above us! So noisy! And it went on until the late hours and then started up at 5am! Not sure I would stay here again just for that reason, the bed was comfy, they did offer a quick breakfast but nothing to brag about.
So many issues! 1. LOUD: Every time the people above us moved, it sounded like they were going to fall through the ceiling. So, considering multiple rooms on the 2nd floor were throwing a party, it was like trying to sleep at a subway station. 2. DIRTY: The couch smelled. There were hairs in the bathtub. The vanity area had sticky surfaces, which I easily cleaned off. The blankets had stains. 3. OUTDATED: Everything needs a pick me up. Examples-The bed was sunken in to the point that I slept with my feet above my torso. The bathtub and sink had chunks missing from the ceramic. 5. PRIVACY: A man was standing outside my window with a camera!!!!!! 4. SERVICE: I was told three times to call back at a specific time/date to speak with a manager. Finally, Hotels.com gets ahold of the manager and he/she refused to give me a refund or discount. I have stayed at around 50 hotels through Hotels.com and ask for one refund or discount...nothing. …
Everything about this hotel is clean and friendly. We spent three nights here. Staff is welcoming and friendly and very helpful. Owner/manager is knowledgeable and a great source of info on the area. He was in the breakfast area every morning and provided answers and suggestions for things to do/see.
