Our family was there for a special hunting trip for my son. The Houser's made us feel at home. This is the first time I stayed at a bed and breakfast, it exceeded my expectations. We were very comfortable during our stay.

When you stay at the Bear Mountain Inn in Meeker you gain a new family and that's because Cheryl, her husband Dale and son Toby adopt their guests as their own. They are a good representation of Meeker because the entire town is very welcoming to visitors. The home is comfortable and back yard is amazing. I don't know how Cheryl finds the time to keep it looking so lovely between making delicious home cooked meals for her guests and keeping the rest of the home ship-shape. Most of the rooms have shared bathrooms, so if this is something you'd rather not do, make sure you ask for the room with its own bathroom The Meeker Retreat, the apartment over the garage, is perfect for hunters, a big family or friends traveling to Meeker together. We were in town for the Meeker Sheepdog Trials and the Jammin' Lamb Festival and Bear Mountain Inn made the perfect headquarters for our stay. Cheryl makes every guest feel special and will do things like cooking a special birthday dinner for two if you arrange this in advance of your stay. I'd recommend the Bear Mountain Inn to anyone who enjoys a homey bed and breakfast getaway.

This is the most beautiful B & B I have visited so far. Extremely clean and welcoming. The owners are extremely welcoming. The property is very calming and feels like home away from home. I would recommend this B & B to anyone.

Great room, fantastic hosts, wonderful trip. Really, what more can you say? Our hosts, Cheryl and Dale were like family friends, making for an amazing trip to visit our son and daughter-in-law who recently moved to this community. Their caring about our needs, communication, attention to detail in the room and reservation, ability to deal with the weather and plane cancellations, and so much more, made this a very enjoyable trip, even with weather dipping to -26 at night. The room was absolutely perfect, far more comfortable and homey than we ever imagined. You could easily stay a long time there, and enjoy every minute. We will be back--no question at all!

Gus and Christine make you feel like you are a part of their family from the time you walk in their front door. The space itself feels like your mother's home, only more ornately decorated (lots of sheep and lambs, of course) and extremely cozy! Sometimes, a B&B can feel like just a place to stay, but Gus and Christine made us all feel like we were part of their family and they genuinely wanted us to fee right at home. They shared stories about their family history, as well as history about the town of Meeker itself. Christine made us the most delicious food, all very "old-world" and amazing, the way food is supposed to be. Gus told us stories about his prior ranching business and how he was able to pass this along to his son, who is now the Mayor of Meeker (Gus also used to be the mayor!). This was hospitality as its best! If you are on the Western Slope, visit the Ran Bull Inn!!

I stayed at the Rambullinn a few days ago. I can't stop thinking about what a treat it was and how I can't wait to get back. The owners, Christine and Gus, are full of laughs, hugs, and warmth. We were greeted with delicious appetizers, wine and beer before we even unpacked. The house is charming and filled with sheep and lamb decor. They did, after all, spend many years working a sheep ranch just outside of Meeker. Ask Gus to tell you stories about coyotes, ranching, Meeker, and the history of the area. He's got something for everyone. Let Christine spoil you with her ridiculously tasty food. We were fed enough breakfast to last us a few days! I was traveling with professional chefs from Denver and they wanted her recipes, and even took some food to-go. That's the ultimate compliment! Anyone who is in the hospitality business needs to take a lesson from these two... They are the BEST! And BTW, the grounds and house is sparkling clean... I am not sure how they do it with everyone coming and going!

You could not ask for a more authentic Meeker experience. The proprietors will welcome you like family and treat you like their most important guests. The bed and breakfast is located next to the owner's home and is walking distance from downtown Meeker.

Staying at the Ram Bull Inn in Meeker (789 8th Street), offers access to several nearby recreational opportunities. East and West Douglas Wild Horse Herds lie west of town, where visitors have the opportunity to hike, explore, observe, and photograph our American wild mustangs in their native land. The roads are well-maintained, but travel is best in dry weather. Maps of the wild horse herd areas are available at the BLM office in Meeker. East of Meeker is the Flattops Wilderness Area, with numerous hiking opportunities. Meeker is also located in the middle of prime elk hunting in the fall. Ram Bull Inn was a real gem--true bed and breakfast with deluxe western hospitality. The accommodations are superb, beautifully decorated with luxurious linens on the beds, robes for guests, a refrigerator with wine and soft drinks in the living area, and a breakfast each morning that puts the best of restaurants to shame. It is beautifully prepared by owner (long-time ranching family) Christine, who is well-known as a top caterer as well. This B & B with all the surrounding recreation opportunities, even though it's off the beaten path, is not to be missed.
