We stayed here for one night on our annual road trip out west from Ohio. We usually try to find independent motels on these trips, and after reading the many stellar reviews for this property we made reservations over three months in advance of the trip. The woman working when we checked in was friendly and welcoming. To our surprise, the rate we'd been expecting to pay upon booking the room in February was greatly discounted (from $155 to $87). We appreciated this so much I'm not sure the room itself would have even made a difference. Our first floor room was immaculate, spacious, and well decorated. The room had a large window, so it was also light and airy. By stepping out into the parking lot only a few feet we were able to see Pikes Peak towering over town, and a 5-minute drive took us to the beautiful Garden of the Gods. Although restaurants were only providing delivery and take-out due to the Covid crisis, there was a wide variety of selections available. In the evening we wanted to sit outside and enjoy the air, but our room chairs were not comfortable enough to enjoy that. We asked the same woman if we could possibly borrow a couple of chairs from the pool. She went out to the pool, unlocked the gate, and not only allowed us to borrow the chairs but even entrusted us to lock the gate when we put the chairs back later. That kind of trust in a guest is rare these days, and we certainly had no plans to let her down. We didn't get to explore the town itself much due to the Covid crisis, although most of the shops were open and there appeared to be a fair amount of shoppers, but we plan to be back in the future and we'll DEFINITELY stay at the Villa Motel.

We were very happy with our room, it was very comfortable and clean. The staff was friendly and helpful with questions and directions-and since this was in March and the pandemic was just starting to close various businesses down, we really appreciated the kind service we received. We will definitely stay here again.

We were so impressed with our high-quality, great value, wonderful 1st night that we opted to extend 7-day plus! We were amazed and relieved to discover the highest level of cleanliness + well-maintained filtered AC/Heat during these challenging times. The rooms are SPACIOUS! The bed is HUGE even the wall photos are unique historical views. We enjoyed a giant wide-screen, multi-channel incl HBO TV, free WIFI, lovely furnishings, & luggage area, generous closet space, + coffee |sink area that doubles as changing area complete w/ sauna-like heat, + separate bathroom incl. tub that is sparkling clean. The cleaning staff wear masks & gloves & are quick & highly professional attending to every detail. We've traveled all around the U.S. & elsewhere and Villa Motel is what we recommend here. If you stay you'll most likely thank Trip Advisor for enabling folks like us to help folks like you discover places like Villa Motel. & of course our hearty thanks to the family & staff @ Villa Motel!

Dear Guest, your review left us speechless! There are no words to describe how grateful and blessed we are that you stayed with us during this time! We are beyond thrilled that you took the time to go into such detail about our daily operation and the detail of our rooms for future guests to read. As many will read on our previous reviews, cleanliness is the #1 thing most most guests mention as well as our wonderful staff and location to downtown Manitou Springs. We have been family owned this year for 36 years, so having you support a local family owned business at any time, especially during these challenging times, was a true gift! We hope you come back and see us again soon and we wish you safe and happy travels!

We stayed 5 nights and thought it was great, the room was really cold when we checked in but warmed up quick. Nice walk into town. Free shuttle across the street. Recently renovated. Owner was super nice after a spring snow and helped clean off cars. Beds were a little hard for me but perfect for my husband. Definitely will stay again.

Dear guest, thank you for staying with us! We are thrilled you enjoyed your stay and our location to downtown Manitou Springs. In reading your review, you mention a restaurant, but to be clear, we do not have one onsite. From what I can understand, you believe there were undisclosed taxes and hidden costs potentially? Just to be clear, we do not hide anything from our guests. The receipt you posted online showed a parking charge of 15.00 and we do not charge our guests for parking. Also, we do not have any rooms in February for 152.00. I am wondering if you have us confused with another property in town? Regardless, your initial charges upon booking and your receipt upon check out clearly states the breakdown cost of the services you requested as well as the taxes added onto the room charge which are required by city, county and state law. Should you have had additional questions about your charges, we would always be happy to help you break down each tax as well as room charges for you per day. We do hope you have safe and happy travels
