Cliff House has an understated elegance. The deluxe suite was spacious yet cozy. The staff is efficient and very friendly. We had exceptional service from Tanner in the dining room, Justin the morning dining room manager and Larry with our turn down service and the front desk was quick to accommodate our requests. We booked the romance package and received...

This hotel is absolutely beautiful! From the moment you walk in, you are taken back in time beautifully. We stayed in a Queen suite. We had a beautiful gas fireplace and an oversized jetted tub. Even the toilet seats were heated! The complimentary breakfast was delicious! We will definitely stay here again!

If you are looking for an experience to go back in time and stay in a unique luxury hotel, this hotel may be for you. It has the historic grandeur with modern amenities, but it comes at a price. For my weeding anniversary, I booked their Romantic Getaway Package that included a stay in one of the Celebrity Suites, a...

My daughter and I visited Pikes Peak in July and stayed at the Cliff House. The hotel was beautiful and in a perfect location. We could walk to restaurants and shops. Our room was very spacious, beautifully decorated and had a great view of the Incline. Breakfast was delicious every morning. Will definitely stay again!

Husband surprised me with a Anniversary getaway to the Cliff House and I fell in love....with the hotel! I grew up going to Manitou and never gave this gem a second thought so when he took me there I had no idea what was in store. The staff were fantastic, the valet even better and the breakfast buffet was amazing!...

This is a hotel worthy of it's 5 stars. The food is exceptional, and the ambiance is mesmerizing. The sense of history makes one feel like a time traveler. The staff is exceptionally engaged, efficient and friendly. The rooms have a certain patina, however, in some cases that includes dust on light fixtures, door frames, etc. My wife and I...

We really enjoyed our visit to the Cliff House . My husband and I with our three children stayed here for our friend's wedding. We had two rooms that were connected. One with a king and one with a queen bed and rollaway bed. We loved the historic charm with modern updates that seemed to balance perfectly between charm and...

My husband, son, and I stayed in the Charles Dickens Suite. It was very luxurious and spacious. There were two adjoining rooms, a fireplace, big closet and bathroom with a steam shower and heated towel racks. We loved the attention to detail such as the evening turn down service. The entire staff was attentive to our every need. Breakfast was...

This is a historic hotel with gracious charm. We had the junior suite (not really a "suite") which had a gas fireplace - extremely nice over the Christmas Holiday! The décor (drapes, upholstery) were a bit worn but fit in with the overall patina. The hotel is right in the middle of Manitou Springs and easy walking distance to everything....

We love staying in hotels that aren't just another wannabe, that are unique to the area, yet offer a high level of comfort and hospitality. This hotel fits that description very well. The staff were very friendly, very accommodating, and the unique history of this hotel is very fascinating. The bed in our Junior suite was extremely comfortable, we had...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
What makes a hotel truly special?Prestige? Romance? Luxury? As a four diamond Colorado Springs Hotel, these attributes are very important, and we have each of them in abundance, but none of them matter as much as... the stories. The stories that are started here, by brides and grooms celebrating their weddings. The stories that are commemorated here, when couples choose us for their anniversaries. The stories that are shared here, when family vacations become unforgettable memories. Our stories really do matter: they define who we are. You see, as the premier historic hotel of the Greater Colorado Springs area, our history is forever intertwined with what we are today. In fact, The Cliff House is older than the State of Colorado itself! And just like your story, we have had our ups and downs: we have played host to famous dignitaries, and we have been a barracks for soldiers. Later floods and fires have even threatened our hotel's very existence. But, just like you, we've persevered. After our extensive remodel and grand re-opening in 1999, we quickly proved that The Cliff House is once again one of Colorado's finest luxury hotels. Nestled at the foot of majestic Pikes Peak, we've managed to keep all the trappings of Victorian elegance and luxury and also become a leader in innovative room features with state-of-the-art technology. Since 2001, we've consecutively received the prestigious AAA Four Diamond Award for both the hotel and our dining room. Our dining room has also received the DiRoNa Award, and Wine Spectator's Best of Award of Excellence, every year. From our world-class fine dining, our amazing rooms, personalized service, our fun new bar and grill, to the limitless experiences and activities Manitou Springs has to offer: we are confident that you will love your stay here... and what a story you'll have to tell! We're proud of our history. Come share yours with us! We're within ten minutes of downtown Colorado Springs, but (rest assured) a world away! ... more   less
