What makes a hotel truly special?Prestige? Romance? Luxury? As a four diamond Colorado Springs Hotel, these attributes are very important, and we have each of them in abundance, but none of them matter as much as... the stories. The stories that are started here, by brides and grooms celebrating their weddings. The stories that are commemorated here, when couples choose us for their anniversaries. The stories that are shared here, when family vacations become unforgettable memories. Our stories really do matter: they define who we are. You see, as the premier historic hotel of the Greater Colorado Springs area, our history is forever intertwined with what we are today. In fact, The Cliff House is older than the State of Colorado itself! And just like your story, we have had our ups and downs: we have played host to famous dignitaries, and we have been a barracks for soldiers. Later floods and fires have even threatened our hotel's very existence. But, just like you, we've persevered. After our extensive remodel and grand re-opening in 1999, we quickly proved that The Cliff House is once again one of Colorado's finest luxury hotels. Nestled at the foot of majestic Pikes Peak, we've managed to keep all the trappings of Victorian elegance and luxury and also become a leader in innovative room features with state-of-the-art technology. Since 2001, we've consecutively received the prestigious AAA Four Diamond Award for both the hotel and our dining room. Our dining room has also received the DiRoNa Award, and Wine Spectator's Best of Award of Excellence, every year. From our world-class fine dining, our amazing rooms, personalized service, our fun new bar and grill, to the limitless experiences and activities Manitou Springs has to offer: we are confident that you will love your stay here... and what a story you'll have to tell! We're proud of our history. Come share yours with us! We're within ten minutes of downtown Colorado Springs, but (rest assured) a world away!

Paid for a queen suite and was given a standard room. Also paid the $20’fee for breakfast and made the reservation and went and could not get seated after waiting 20 minutes we left. The room was run down had to have maintenance come up twice to fix things. Told the front desk at checkout and she didn’t even care. Don’t waste your money. I have stayed in cheaper hotels with much better service and rooms.

Hotel's Favorite
This hotel was very charming and very well placed in the quirky town of Manitou Springs. You could walk to most shopping and for the outdoors people, a very short drive to Garden of the Gods, etc. The Inn was very beautiful, Victorian style with history. We had a beautiful large room with a wonderful view. We highly recommend it.

The Cliff House is a lovely historic hotel in downtown Manitou Springs and very reasonable. Perfect for a getaway weekend. The room was lovely and the bed very comfortable. It included a great breakfast and the staff and service are very nice and helpful. It’s close to shops and restaurants and the town is charming! There is some street parking, but I highly recommend valet for $15 per night.

Had an excellent experience at the Cliff House after coming from a bad hotel. The staff was extremely welcoming, hotel was very clean, and our room had beautiful views, a fireplace, and a large jacuzzi tub. This hotel is very historic from late 1800s yet well maintained and upgraded The hotel is located in the heart of Manitou Springs, which is a great location. The town is very walkable and close to Pike's Peak and Garden of the Gods.

Stayed here for a recent vacation and it was cute. The room was cool, vintage style for sure. Don’t expect anything modern. Close to a lot of little restaurants and shops. The driveway/valet was kind of a mess. It’s super small and they don’t give you much time to get your things in and out of car and kind of rushed us which wasn’t cool but otherwise I would recommend.

Happy to hear that you enjoyed your stay. Driveway issue is now resolved as we were in the midst of an expansion of its width, which probably led to your feelings of being rushed! Look forward to another visit from you.
