We are a family oriented RV park with options for everyone. We offer cabins, tent sites and RV sites, both water and electric and full hook-up. We have the Boot Hill Barn that is perfect for all kinds of events. There is a heated pool and hot tub that is open Memorial Day until it gets too cold. We also have an 18 hole miniature golf course with fun for everyone. There is an activities cabin with pool, foos-ball, video games, TV, etc. Horseback riding is conveniently available right next door. We open March 15 and close October 31 every year. There are so many places to visit in the area and the sunsets are beautiful. We are a dark park and the star gazing is amazing. Please come share our park with us!

We stayed at this RV park one night because the road was closed due to wildfire. This is a very nice RV park. Management was very accommodating and worked with us quickly to get us a site. It’s seem to be a great place for families and we loved the off leash dog area. Great place to stay if you plan to see Mesa Verde. Right across the highway from the entrance.

This is a fantastic little campground that feels like home. The staff is friendly, courteous, and very informative. With showers, washers, dryers, and all the washing supplies you didn't bring. Hot tub swimming pool PuttPutt Golf. Campsites have electricity and water hook-ups and RV-waste hook-ups. I will return to enjoy the wonderful peacefulness of Ancient Cedars Mesa Verde RV Park

We were very happy with our stay at Ancient Cedars. The management was terrific! Brent was really accommodating as I had made a mistake on the original reservation. He also loaned us an extension cord (to use with a medical device) which allowed my husband to get a really great nights sleep!
The pool, grounds and all the amenities including bathroom and laundry were very clean. You can’t beat this location if you are visiting Mesa Verde. There is even a Rec Room-Cabin that is well equipped!

My family and I have been to so many different campgrounds over the years and this one was the worst one I've ever seen. When we got there the place was filled with signs that basically said children couldn't do anything or only registered guests can do this. They also advertise putt putt but they had a tree that hung over one of the holes 2 feet off the ground making it almost impossible to play. As we got there a thunder storm was coming in making us uncomfortable setting up a tent. When we asked about switching to a cabin she told us it was a 2 night minimum and didn't even ask if we wanted to pay for 2 nights even though the cabins were completely empty. We ended up asking if we could car camp and she was very hesitant to even let us. When we got to our site it was so uneven and unmaintained that we couldn't even set up a tent if we wanted. There was also barely any gravel and with the rain car camping was a no. Even though we couldn't stay there because of the conditions she refused to give us a refund even a partial refund. As we were leaving with no place to stay she started smirking. We had to sleep at the Loves because everything else was booked. I'm am very disappointed, avoid this place at all cost.

As noted before we do not allow car camping, as posted on our website. We cannot control the weather. We require a two night minimum on cabins for all guests and you refused to accept this offer. We prefer to get feedback from customers who have actually stayed in our park and enjoyed the amenities. Also, there is a rest area on mile down the road where you could have stayed fof the evening.

This is a super cute campground that is quite literally at the entrance to Mesa Verde Park. The sites are very well cared for while still maintaining the integrity of the nature around them. The store is well stocked, laundry room is meticulously maintained. The pool is super clean . The jets on the hot tub are fairly weak but it is very clean and still a lovely spot to relax in. We had a blast on the mini golf course in the evenings. This place is a great little spot to relax and enjoy while waiting to head into the park or into Mancos.

The location for this site is excellent - being only 0.4 miles from the visitor center is amazing.
We were not overkeen on this site.
Sorry but the narrow pitches in Standard pitches mean it’s almost impossible not too close to your neighbours ( I notice others have said this in 2019) Fortunately ours were quiet and did not have huge RVs. On arrival we did not know where to enter, there are so many signs telling us what NOT to do and once we had checked in we were handed a ‘Rules and Regulations’ leaflet instead of a welcome and had to run the gauntlet of signs everywhere. It would be good to have a sign saying ‘Registered campers welcome here’s instead of the ‘Only registered campers may use this ….’ We decided not to use the pool etc as it looked crowded and used our own BBQ as the nearest fire pit was too far distant from our pitch.

Thanks so much for your input. As owners we try to make our park user friendly, safe and fun. We have learned over the years that certain rules make Ancient Cedars more enjoyable for all of our guests. We receive compliments daily on our efforts to keep grounds well maintained and monitored. There have been several issues in the past with trespassers that destroy the facilities and make it difficult for our campers to take advantage of the amenities. With regards to park rules and courtesies there has been an event or behavior that prompted the creation of each rule on the list. We have found it necessary to be very specific in our rules and signage. I'm sorry you were offended by the signs but this seems to be the world that we live in today. Since we have so many different sizes and shapes of sites and our park was established in the 70's, we need to direct traffic within Ancient Cedars to make it convenient for everyone coming and going and safe for children and pets. We hope you understand and appreciate and enjoy our park.

We recently stayed at Ancient Cedars for 1 night. We got in pretty late and left pretty early. If you want to be close to Mesa Verde, this is definitely the place. The site host was EXTREMELY helpful and since we had a long and rough driving day, that was super nice. Park has gravel sites, some are a bit uneven. It's rustic, but worked for us. Internet and cell phone reception weren't super great.

We chose to sleep in the Love's parking lot instead. Worst campground I've ever seen, and I tent/car camp 3-5 weeks a year throughout the country. We had a tent reservation. It was storming when I arrived, so I asked about just sleeping in the car instead since it would be muddy. We get to our site and it had not been mowed and the weeds were not trimmed. The gravel was not kept up either. It was on a hill with no place to park and put up a tent, if we wanted to. I'm fine with not perfectly level, but this was a hill. The picnic table wasn't level either, so cooking was out. I looked in the community room, since I needed to work, and the door was wide open allowing bugs and mosquitoes in. I asked about switching to a cabin, and was told there was a two night minimum, even though all appeared vacant. No refund even though it's not as advertised. Tent and car campers should avoid at all costs. We're way more comfortable sleeping in our car at Love's than here. Also tons of rules about kids

Fantastic RV Park in Mesa Verde. Had all the regular amenities you would find in and RV park and then some! Restroom/showers clean and ample; laundry facilities; recreation log cabin, putt putt golf; and absolutely amazing views! Office/gift store has all the extra necessities you may have forgotten to pack. Friendly and helpful staff. Enjoyed our trip there. Definitely recommend.

This was my second time to visit this RV Park directly across the street from Mesa Verde National Park and it's even better than my last visit. There is a huge commercial hot tub, and extra dog park (very convenient) and updated miniature golf course. The staff was very helpful and friendly. bathrooms were spotless. There were beautiful pink petunias and really made it look like springtime in the rockies. Also enjoyed the recreation cabin and convenience store in the office. Will come here every time I'm close by. It was a little windy but don't think there's anything you can do about that.
