This was my second time to visit this RV Park directly across the street from Mesa Verde National Park and it's even better than my last visit. There is a huge commercial hot tub, and extra dog park (very convenient) and updated miniature golf course. The staff was very helpful and friendly. bathrooms were spotless. There were beautiful pink petunias and really made it look like springtime in the rockies. Also enjoyed the recreation cabin and convenience store in the office. Will come here every time I'm close by. It was a little windy but don't think there's anything you can do about that.
We have stayed here every year for the last 6 years. The owners must have sold it as it has really gone down hill. We had always had the same site and were promised it again but it didn’t happen. Didn’t have shade, pool is closed and it just wasn’t clean Won’t stay here again
Fantastic RV Park in Mesa Verde. Had all the regular amenities you would find in and RV park and then some! Restroom/showers clean and ample; laundry facilities; recreation log cabin, putt putt golf; and absolutely amazing views! Office/gift store has all the extra necessities you may have forgotten to pack. Friendly and helpful staff. Enjoyed our trip there. Definitely recommend.
Wife and I (and our dog) stayed here for one night. Very happy with our stay .. Campground is well maintained .. restroom/showers .. laundry room were spotless. Well appointed store at check in.. friendly staff ! Scenic views from our site of snow capped mountains and Mesa Verde National Park. Although we have a ClassB Motorhome .. there seems to be plenty of sites that could fit big rigs.If we are in the area again we will make a return visit.
Hands down, my RV Site at Ancient Cedars was the worst RV Site I have encountered in my more than 20 years of RV travel. I was not able to level my trailer side to side with even 4 blocks, the sites are the narrowest I have ever encountered, and my “patio” is on the “street side” of my campsite next to my hookups. Whereas there do appear to be some good campsites, I won’t be taking a gamble again given the number of horrible sites. Never again.
Tired travelers greeted warmly by front desk employee, Roxanne. Didn't have a reservation but quickly found a site to accommodate our big rig. Personally took us to the site and told us where to leave our tow trailer.. Site was shaded and had good WiFi. Beauty stars at night!
We were very happy with our stay at Ancient Cedars. The management was terrific! Brent was really accommodating as I had made a mistake on the original reservation. He also loaned us an extension cord (to use with a medical device) which allowed my husband to get a really great nights sleep! The pool, grounds and all the amenities including bathroom and laundry were very clean. You can’t beat this location if you are visiting Mesa Verde. There is even a Rec Room-Cabin that is well equipped!
We recently stayed at Ancient Cedars for 1 night. We got in pretty late and left pretty early. If you want to be close to Mesa Verde, this is definitely the place. The site host was EXTREMELY helpful and since we had a long and rough driving day, that was super nice. Park has gravel sites, some are a bit uneven. It's rustic, but worked for us. Internet and cell phone reception weren't super great.
We chose this park for the location. It’s nice, it’s quiet. I didn’t use any of the shared spaces but they looked ok. The negative was the horrible sewer gases. It could have been the neighbors or something just emanating from underground.
We stayed at this RV park one night because the road was closed due to wildfire. This is a very nice RV park. Management was very accommodating and worked with us quickly to get us a site. It’s seem to be a great place for families and we loved the off leash dog area. Great place to stay if you plan to see Mesa Verde. Right across the highway from the entrance.
