We stay in B & B’s whenever we travel and my husband and I both agree that the Sundance Bear Lodge is the best we have ever stayed in. The rooms are so comfortable, the baths are supplied with every imaginable item you might need (sun screen, bug repellent, besides the usual), the breakfasts are delicious and enough to get... More

Without a doubt I would HIGHLY recommend Sundance Bear Lodge to anyone. Bob and Sue are two of the nicest people we have met anywhere in our travels. Their lodge is beautiful and quiet with a lovely view and most important it is very clean. They are not only friendly but very knowledgeable and have two lovely dogs and two... More

My wife and I spent 3 nights at Sundance Bear bed and breakfast in mid November. We were extremely please with the entire experience. The hosts, Bob and Sue, were friendly and congenial without being intrusive. They are very knowledgeable about the area Their recommendations for things to do and places to eat were spot on. This hilltop retreat has sumptuous breakfasts, gracious, knowledgeable hosts, comfortable rooms along with two cabins and a welcoming crew of dogs and cats. It is a convenient base for visits to Mesa Verde National Park and Hovenweep National Monument. I've been traveling around the rural west for 20 years and have rarely found places to stay as nice as this... More

We stayed in the main lodge which was very spacious and comfortable. The setting inside and out was a very pleasing and a tasteful immersion of the southwestern/western decor and information. The lodge and surroundings were quiet and very relaxing. The owners, Susan and Bob, were very friendly, good company, accommodating, and always available. A 3-ring notebook in our room... More

Our family spent 3 nights in the 2-story Log Cabin. It is charmingly decorated with two bedrooms (one a loft with a full bed, sofa and TV), a kitchen area, small living area and bathroom. The cabin also has 3 porches. The back porch has the added bonus of a hummingbird feeder and greedy hummingbirds which are fascinating to watch.... More

The house is like a mini resort. There is always a snack, drink and/or pet available. It has the right combination of a hotel and home.

Our stay with Bob and Sue Scott of Sundance Bear Lodge was one of the best experiences we have had in our years of traveling the U.S. It was just a bonus that it was our first family stay in a B&B (we have a just-turned-teen son). The great location in the four-corners area, the funky little town of Mancos,... More

Sundance Bear Lodge sits atop a hill overlooking Mesa Verde and the surrounding area. It is easy to find and a special place to come 'home' to at the end of a day of sightseeing. The hosts are warm and welcoming and know a great deal about the area. Their collections of local pottery and art are museum worthy. They... More
