Everybody who travels a lot like my husband and I knows that family-run motels can be a hit or a miss. This one is a bull’s eye! The owners are super polite and nice, you immediately feel like a welcomed guest. The whole motel has a pleasant “retro” feeling like from the road movies – part of it is just ground floor, with a little “patio” for two chairs in front of each room – yet everything is super clean, everything is refurbished, everything works perfectly. This is a place where one can really relax after a day in the car. The sleep is super nice (the curtains make the room really dark so we overslept), the location is near the town center and yet not too far from the interstate. Even in the times of corona crisis they still provided coffee and breakfast in the best form acceptable. And since my husband and I are pet lovers, I have to mention the friendly family dog that came to greet us in the late afternoon, of course! If ever staying in Limon, I would go straight to Safari!

Stan and Stella are here to greet you as you check in to their motel that they have owned for over thirty years after immigrating from Poland in their early twenties. Stella takes great pride over every inch of the motel's grounds. Nothing is out of place, and everything is immaculate. If you need anything, Stella will see that you are taken care of. The rooms are very comfortable, from the beds to the bathrooms, providing guests with a restful night's sleep and a fresh cup of coffee and danish to wake up to in the morning. A magnificent brick fence showcases the jewel of the property, the swimming pool. Stanley keeps the pool spotless and ensures a relaxing time spent with a good book or splashing about with the kids. There is a casual restaurant and convenience store across the street. There is also a walking path to a wetland close by and an interesting old-time theater only a block away. A night or two at the Safari Motel will be a pleasant memory for all who stay with Stan and Stella, proprietors of one of the most satisfying motels on the eastern plains of Colorado.

If you are traveling through on I-70 needing a place to stay the night in the area of Limon, by all means stay at the Safari. It is a cute little 'mom and pop' motel that is clean, attractive and has character. The host (I forget her name at the moment) was very friendly and apparently is a gardener-she has a great little garden going on by the pool. Speaking of the pool, I didn't use it but it was beautiful, unusual to see a working pool these days at the mom and pop motels. The room was very clean and comfortable and I had a great nights stay. I will definitely stay here again when I am back in the area. It is quite clear the owners take pride in this motel.

We really enjoyed our overnight stay here while traveling. I am a professional cleaner so I have high standards when it comes to my hotel/motel rooms. This place was great! Fresh clean smell as soon as you open the door to your room. Everything was very clean! I even checked the grout lines in the shower and the tiles to see if there was any soap scum buildup. NADA! Nothing better than a clean place to lay your head! Quiet little spot to stay that will even except your pets. Not to mention the beds were really comfortable too and the pillows fluffy. Great place to stay if you are passing through!

By today's prices this passed muster. The AC thermostat did not work and blew cool air regardless of how low you turned it. I ended up having to shut it down in order to sleep. The pillows were the hard springy kind that kept your head jacked up.

Ok but definitely not a 4-5⭐️.
Seems like not much open on Sundays.
Both bar n grills closed Ya!!
That’s why we stopped here was because of location and that a Bar n Grill was next door.
No more Limon.
Heading north to Brush.
This was 4th time for Limon. Done.
The room was musty and damp smelling. I can’t see the great ratings in the room we got.

The Safari Inn is a family owned/operated motel. Stanley, the owner, was working the front desk when I arrived the evening of July 5th. This motel was an unexpected treat. My room and bath were exceptionally clean. The furnishings were also in excellent condition. The bed felt new and comfortable. The sheets had actually been ironed. In spite of the motel being full on a holiday weekend. It was very quiet. I didn’t hear any other guests or traffic noise. I drive from Fort Worth,TX to Great Falls,MT twice a year. Limon, CO is half way. The Safari Inn is the motel I intend to use exclusively for this trip. I full heartedly recommend it to you!

We stopped in for a night and will definitely come back next time through Limon. Nice, well kept little place with simple and clean rooms. Didn’t use the pool but was nice with a basketball goal in it for playing in the pool. Also a basketball goal in the parking lot as well as swingset. The people running the Safari are Polish but speak English well also. Very friendly couple, they are fun to visit with. If you’re in the area don’t hesitate staying here. Also nice bar and grill directly across the street.

My nephew had a tire flat on the highway and needed a night to stay. The worker at this lodging was kind and helpful. He said he would take care of my nephew and he made sure he was doing okay. My nephew said is room was real clean as well. They deserve 5 stars mainly do to attitude. If you need a hassle free place, this is it. Its not fancy but comfortable and stress free. If you get stuck in Limon, heres your place

The property has been updated recently. Pool is in great condition and comfortable beds! Lots of attention paid to the grounds. Currently updating office area. Nice owners. Well located property and close to the interstate highway. Would return if in Limon.
