Had a great time at Jellystone Larkspur! The staff was beyond awesome and helpful. There was a fire ban but we burned charcoal like the email we received suggested and we got some dirty looks from other less informed guests, but the employees knew what was up and were very nice about it when they came to check on it.... We booked three nights in one of the new air conditioned cottages (from 2015) for 4th of July weekend. We arrived about 2:30 and were told that it wasn't ready (we were in Baker), but that was fine since check in is 3pm. We got a golf cart (if you do choose to stay here, rent the expensive golf cart,... More

Family friendly (5 stars) - Lots of activities for the kids Noise (2 stars) - The campground is located near busy I-25 and two railroad tracks. The interstate noise is high in the early morning. Trains (including a coal train) bordering the campground run 24/7. Taken together, the noise while sleeping will have you feel like your camping in a... More

If you have kids- you'll love it! There are plenty of activities for them. This park has very beautiful views of the mountains if you get a site at the top of the campground. We had a back-in site near the top. But, backing in on the steep side of a mountain is not for the faint of heart! Our... More

Thank you for your kind comments about our activities. You are indeed correct: Our focus is families who want to give their kids a great outdoor experience! We appreciate that we may not be the place for everyone, but hope to give as many people as possible a great experience! More

Overall, it was great. The sites are mostly private, although we got stuck in one that was right on the road and awful. We went to the front desk and they told us they didn't have anything else, so we called from our cell and asked what they had open and was able to get a better site (the people... More

We typically camp at the Jellystone in Estes Park and thought we would try Larkspur for a night. Pro/Cons of the park in comparison to Estes PRO- Hands down the golf carts! I recommend you get one as the site is big and kids have a blast driving it! The pool was closed during our stay so this really kept... More

Thank you for your comments. They are very helpful to us! Thank you also for trying out the Jellystone Park in Larkspur. There are about 70 Jellystone campgrounds across the country. Each is separately owned, so all of them offer different ways to enjoy a weekend camping. We're glad you're testing them out! More

The staff here were so friendly and helpful. My 2 year old was obsessed with yogi and boo boo, we had to make sure we were at the flag pole morning and night so he cooks greet them. There's a list of daily activities to keep you busy. We did a nature hike. It was short about 15 minutes which... More

Our unlevel, dirt pad was located so close to the railroad tracks we could critic each conductor's tattoos as they thundered by. Let's not forget the highway, barely separated from our campsite by the R.R. Not being able to deploy our awning because it bumped up against our neighbors RV was an added bonus. Add in the unbreathable dirt infused... More

We stayed in a premium RV spot with full hook up. I know its glamping but we like it. We were met at the desk by very attentive staff. We had a few breakdowns on the way to the camp ground and were late getting in. The staff was very supportive and helpful. The capground its self is situated on... More

We had our inaugural travel trailer 'shakedown' at Jellystone, Larkspur this past weekend. Our pull-through location was well maintained and had a lovely view of the Larkspur bluffs. The occasional passing train sounds were muted and not intrusive. The staff was upbeat and ready with a smile or helpful tip. Other campers were quiet, and the campground had much to... More
