room large with balcony - good bed and bedding - plenty of towels. Cleaned every other day - but not much dusting. My room was far end of hotel so I carried ski boots to one elevator bank - must have walked 5 miles in a week. Ski valet system was good - would not take poles. Shuttle and public bus to keystone base was fine - except when it snowed and shuttle replaced by SUV - getting back at end of day took a good 45 mins. Long haul to ski at Breckenridge with shuttle to bus stop. Food - restaurant seems to be franchise owned separately - cannot connect from front desk and no one answers phone - same day booking on website did not work for us. Limited staff so hard to get table even in bar which required waiter service. However if you sit at bar you can order same things! Food good but entrees very pricy. Bar was good - only one bar person - both from Argentina who worked very hard to deal with food and drinks. Spa and pool nice except for kids in hot tubs. Front desk uneven - a few knew nothing - no printed information. Place needs a renovation. Except for shuttle was not seeing 4stars…
We reserved a King Room with a Loft but was told when we were checking in that the room was only available for one of the two nights we reserved it. We were downgraded and still charged for the larger room. Management was not helpful and the front desk staff was rude. The facility is mediocre at best. The rooms are very small. The food is disappointing. The thermostats in the rooms are basically useless. If you want an enjoyable and comfortable stay, stay somewhere else.
Pretty much every aspect of the hotel was lackluster. Called the day before to ask for early check in. Was told it wouldn’t be a problem. Hotel is empty when we arrive at 2pm. They tell us room won’t be ready until 4. Valet won’t park our car until check in at 4. On site lounge says it opens at 3 but no bartender is there. Restaurant service was horrendous. Food was actually worse than the service somehow. Shocked at how that’s possible. Hotel itself looks like it was due for an upgrade about 20 years ago. Room itself says housekeeping every other day…but what they mean is you need to repeatedly request that they come and they still don’t show. Called to ask them to come clean the room on my third day. Was told someone would come after 4:30. No one came. Next morning I requested house keeping before 1 so my son could nap. They said they would be right up. Never came. Came to my room at 1:30 when my son was napping. Manager on duty just smiled and smirked at me when I was visibly upset sharing my frustrations. She made it seem like it was weird someone four days into their stay wanted their trash emptied and room cleaned. Hotel obviously places a premium on cheap unskilled labor, it shows across the board. No hospitality. No service. Dirty hotel. Outdated facilities. Would not return. Would not recommend. Hands down the worst lodging experience I’ve had in years.…
We stayed there for five nights, but housekeeping never came once. When we called, we were only given extra coffee cups and a set of towels. We had made several requests, but none of them were honored. We were traveling with an 8-year-old and a 2-year-old and when we asked for an early check-in (at 1:30 PM instead of their usual 4 PM), we were told to wait until 4 PM. We also requested a one-hour late check-out (at 12 PM instead of 11 AM) and were denied. Additionally, the shuttle drivers had a condescending attitude. I had to take the shuttle to get to meetings multiple times a day and even though I tipped them a few times, they would still shove their Venmo QR code in my face, which was embarrassing. I paid a good amount for the room, and on top of that, expecting me to tip 4-5 times a day is unreasonable. Overall, this was not a good experience.…
The room and overall hotel decor is a bit dated, however, the amenities, the shuttle, restaurant, ice skating, and welcoming staff made it a very nice vacation spot. I would recommend staying here. One thing to note - you want to shop/dine/ski at River Run versus Mountain House.
As the title says the place is absolutely extraordinary. From the moment we arrived I was surprised by the level of treatment. They treat you like you're a movie star and every single person we encountered seemed happy to help and enjoyed working there. That says a lot about a place. A few standouts were Harley from Columbia. He bent over backwards to ensure our stay was as good as it could possibly be. Katie from Texas, charming and sweet and always a pleasure to chat with. The "manager of Valet" always got me to laugh and is very good at what he does. ALL of the drivers were aces "Runway" in particular was fantastic. I forget his real name, but you'll know him when you see him, GQ lookin dude that does Runway modeling, and can drive a shuttle bus like nobodys business. He also tolerated my late night drunken nonsense on more than one occasion. The room was great, very clean, comfortable; bed was a bit SOFT for my liking, but still nice. Balcony was EPIC and had a perfect view of fireworks for new years. The pool and spa is SO fun and so good, with an indoor / outdoor swim through, great sauna and overall very very clean! The bar was also super fun to sit and have a pre-game beverage before heading out to one of the other local hotspots. Make sure you check out "The Snake" and sit on the bar side. Just sayin. I fell in love with Keystone, CO and the Lodge and Spa had a lot to do with it. Please don't ever change a thing guys, the non stuck up, low key vibe is where it's at!…
1) The mechanical systems are loud and kept me up all night both nights. When I asked the front desk to change my room it could not be accommodated and the young person working there was absolutely clueless about what I was talking about. I know I was not the only person at this conference who had this issue. Others were accommodated by switching out their rooms. I was basically comped one night of resort fees. 2) Your facilities are dated. For the price/room paid for this conference it would have been better to stay up the road for cheaper. 3) The amount of fees/surcharges/taxes/etc line items on the billing statement is astounding. 4) The cheap hair dryer in the bathroom kept dying after one minute of use until it cooled down. Why. Why furnish your rooms with cheap appliances that dont work. It would have been better to buy some quality ones and have the guests call and borrow one for their stay than to furnish each room with garbage. 5) The wifi systems went down in the middle of the day when I had a deadline due. The phone reception was terrible in the building and I had to go outside on the patio to make/take calls.…
Resort grounds were beautiful, spa and heated pool were very enjoyable in the evening! Excellent staff, very helpful and easy walk to the lake! Nick, with the Valet was helpful and above and beyond! Appreciated the service!
It's a beautiful, luxurious place with helpful staff and gorgeous, comfortable quiet rooms but after staying here two years in a row and still not being able to use the hot tub (which is nearly impossible to even find), and no indication on their website or via signage that it's not open during my stay, I would not expect to be able to use it without checking first - and you will need to check at the front desk itself, since it's hard to get through on their phone system.
We stayed here while attending a wedding near by. I gave a 5 star rating because if the overall experience. The decor in the halls & rooms are a bit dated, but well maintained. This is a dog friendly place and more places could learn from their example. We had a ground floor room that opened onto a large grass area, which was great for squeezing the puppies. There is also easy & close access to walking & biking trails. The rooms a spacious and well laid out. The bed was very comfortable. The staff were all friendly & helpful.
