Our stay was over a year ago. I only gave our stay 3 stars because we stayed in their only pet friendly room that they had - which was not yet renovated. (Check with management to see if any rules have changed in regard to pets.) The room was average, but had what we needed. Microwave & minifridge, TV, decent... More

Clean & very adequate. Liked the mini-kitchenette! But PLEASE put a brighter lightbulb in the shower/toilet room. It was so difficult to see well enough to shave & to use the toilet at night. Could cause an accident--liability should be a concern, Sam! Limited TV channels, & not even the Denver channels!

Units are equipped with kitchens if you plan an extended stay. Lovely patio with grill for use by guests. Flowers everywhere. Interior decorations are homey and makes you think you are staying in a friends house, not a motel. They use actual keys, not a plastic card that doesn't work half the time! Within walking distance of a city park... More

We stayed at the Columbine Inn for 1 night in a king room. Pros: Our room was clean and convenient for early AM access to Mt Evans. WiFi was available, free and fast. Cons: Vanity area is very small. Shrubs and trees block easy access to rooms. Inn is located near I-70 and is a bit noisy - we blocked... More

I called columbine inn because after reading the pet policy I saw that room 22 was available and that is the only pet friendly room they have. The person that answered my call began to tell me what was available and I let him know I had two 8 pound Yorkies that would be with us. He immediately said "we... More

We stayed here after attending a concert at Red Rocks, about 1/2 hour away. Cute little motel with a kitchen, comfy bed and a psychedelic bathroom faucet! Turn out the lights and watch the rainbow light show from the faucet! The only drawback is that this nifty old mining town draws the bikers - and their roar at all hours... More

Many Red Rocks concert goers opt to stay in the mountains rather than the Foothills or Denver metro area. Although Idaho Springs is a busy place, especially in the summer, we are happy you chose Columbine Inn and hope you return. Thanks for the time to write a review. Cheers! Sam More

Heads up - a tiny kitchen is available for an up-charge of $50 per visit. Also do not expect to check in before 3pm. Parking is tight if you arrive late. Idaho Springs is the jumping off point for Mt Evans. You can be on the summit of the mountain in a little over and hour.

Note: Refundable $50 charge for full kitchen usage (oven, stove) on departure in our King Suites. If you tell us at the front desk that you will be cooking, you are also provided with pots & pans, dishes, and cleaning supplies. For those vacationers who prefer to eat at the wonderful restaurants nearby, there is still a microwave and refrigerator,... More

I like to stay at non-chain motels. This is an older motel that has been restored. Very good shape. Nice rooms. Very good wi-fi. Nice pillow top mattresses. Very nice staff. A short walk from the downtown businesses. Highly recommended.

We pulled in to town in the eve and shopped around for a place to stay for the night. Been to the town several times over the years but never overnight. So looked at a few places and checked out the rooms and decided they all were about the same price and none seemingly wanting to budge on price or... More

We provide ice at the front desk and our prices reflect the fact that we do not, nor have we ever served breakfast. Our rooms are all equipped with microwaves and refrigerators, plus coffee/coffee maker. Thank you for staying with us! Sam Salter, Owner More
