Located on five beautiful acres fronting the North Fork of the Colorado River just three miles south of the historic town of Grand Lake, our rustic log cabins and Reunion Bunkhouse are available year round. The authentic log cabins, some dating back to the early 1930's, have been newly restored and renovated with hardwood floors, gas log fireplaces, 32" flat screen satellite TVs, fresh linens, modern kitchens and bathrooms and beautifully appointed decor. All have stunning views of the river and mountains. The rustic wood decor and intimate lodge atmosphere of the Reunion Bunkhouse provides the perfect Colorado mountain setting for family reunions, wedding parties, church groups and small corporate retreats. Dogs welcome!
My friend and I stayed at CCA for two nights, last week. It was not nearly enough time! When we arrived, Seth checked us in and gave us the rundown of the property, bears, the lake, etc. He said that we could text at any time if we needed anything. We took him up on that offer, and at 9pm asked if he could light our fireplace. He wasted no time in coming over and getting our fire going. He also offered to set up a fire for us at the lake, but we ended up not having enough time to take advantage of that, though it sounded like a wonderful idea!
We stayed in the Shadow Mountain room, in the bunkhouse. We had two bedrooms, which was nice. The kitchen had every amenity we could want - including coffee, filters, and powered cream, which is important! The bathroom had enough soap and shampoo for a large family to use for a week. I was impressed with all of the supplies in the bathroom. Each room in the cabin had it's own temperature control and box fan, which came in handy.
The walk to the river is very easy - you just go in between some of the cabins and you're at the river. The walk to the lake is a little more involved; it's pretty overgrown but easy to find the path. I had no issues getting to the lake. Both the lake and river were gorgeous and so peaceful.
The cabin was a very easy drive to Rocky Mountain National Park. You literally turn right out of the parking lot, drive a few miles, and you're at the park. The town of Grand Lake is even closer. We had no issues finding our way around town. Everything is pretty small and easy to understand.
Everyone that we encountered at CCA was so nice. It felt like visiting friends. They made us feel very welcome. The cabin was perfect, inside the walls were all wood, so it really felt like you were in a real cabin, even though we were in the bunkhouse.
Overall, I highly recommend Colorado Cabin Adventures, and the west side of the park. It was perfect, quiet, and peaceful - just what we needed!

Cricket & Seth are fabulous hosts! The cabins are sparkling clean, comfortable and the kitchens are VERY well equipped! The location was perfect for Rocky Mountain National Park as well Cricket gave us the best restaurant suggestions in Grand Lake. We really wish we could have stayed here longer than 2 nights. It was truly the cleanest and best equipped place we stayed on our 8 day adventure! We arrived pretty late due to some road closures on the way, but Seth still came up to greet us and make sure we were set with everything. Bathroom is on the smaller side in the lodge rooms but we were gone on adventures and were just thrilled that the bathroom was so clean and plenty of towels and toiletries and plenty of hot water for 5 so not a big deal to us.

We stayed at CCA in July of 2022 for a family reunion, and it could not have been a better setting. The cabins, while rustic, had everything we needed and enabled each family to have their own private space. The kitchens are small but functional. We stayed in the Arrowhead cabin, which was charming and has a nice porch from which you can hear the sound of the river. My only complaint is that the second bedroom is so small the door does not open all the way, which made keeping airflow through the cabin during our unusually hot stay challenging and could be problematic for guests with limited mobility. The reunion lodge also facilitated the most important part of our trip, by allowing us all to spend evenings together sharing meals and stories around the gas-powered firepits.
The setting is both beautiful and convenient - my son loved spending hours catching minnows in the Colorado River, and I loved being so close to the restaurants and shops of Grand Lake and the Grand Lake entrance to RMNP.

It was very uncomfortable in the cabin as it was high 80’s and the windows literally were sealed shut. We couldn’t sleep - the fan provided did not help. We were told window screens are not in the budget nor are fixing the windows. I was deeply disappointed at our discomfort given we spent a serious amount of money to fly out and stay there. We asked for towels to go to the beach and when we got there we found ticks in the towels . It’s a shame as the land around is beautiful- just cabins not maintained

My girlfriend and I visited grand lake to snowmobile and stayed here. Very cute little cozy cabins. Fireplace turns on with the flick of a switch, all of the linens were new and furniture was very comfortable. They were recently renovated and perfect distance to the town.

I booked Alpenglow weeks ago for a few nights at the end of August and was very excited to stay there. I even called back and added a night to my reservation. It all sounded very charming. However, I found an email in my junk mail a few days ago confirming my cancellation (that I hadn’t made) and saying they were sorry my plans had changed. I did not receive a phone call or an apology outside of the boilerplate cancellation email. When I called they said they had double booked. No attempt to make it right. So, I don’t recommend booking here unless you are okay with a reservation not really meaning anything.

I am so sorry to hear about your experience. That is terrible, and I'm sure was very frustrating! I am not sure what happened, but we were in the middle of changing management at that time and it sounds like your reservation was mishandled. We have excellent new managers, Cricket and Seth Vinson, who go above and beyond to make our guests feel welcome and ensure they enjoy our charming cabins, quaint property, and all the fun things to do in the area. I hope you will let us make it right and come to CCA!

Stayed in 5, Lulu’s place. It was so clean and very comfortable, especially considering it is a true cabin. Great location, fire pit, kitchen, bathroom, and a very short walk to river but you can hear it from the cabin! Loved it. Manager super helpful and friendly. Small tip, there’s a space heater under bathroom cabinet. Our first night was a little cold because the weather was colder.

Would highly recommend! This was a family camp trip. As a group we had 3 cabins. There was a playground for kids. They were also play in the water behind the cabin. Dog friendly and parking for boats. Cabins had everything we needed. Owners were very kind.

We planned a 4 night stay but checked out the next day. My first interaction with the owner, Jessica was that she was rude and arrogant, not pleasant and not a friendly warm welcome. When i went into the cabin (the homesteader) we were so disappointed. The website shows a futon and so i was hoping my oldest daughter could sleep on that but in fact it was a completely different. I didn’t have anywhere for my daughter to sleep. When i said something to the owner he said “I’ll have to have my website changed” It’s much smaller than what it appears online. You can’t put your luggage anywhere and have to live out of your car. And the shower is impossible, the minute you shampoo your hair the water washes it out- it’s so small. Needless to stay we contacted a realtor and had to find another place to stay. When my sister in law went to tell them all we got was “ok” not even an ounce of empathy or care for the money we lost. We understand that we weren’t gonna get a refund but an apology would have been considerate. We had 4 families travel from Philadelphia and we lost a ton of money.

Response from Jessica L, General Manager at Colorado Cabin Adventures

Maureen- First, let me apologize if I came across rude or arrogant. Perhaps I was caught off guard by ALL of you showing up at 9:45 AM to check in to your cabins. Not only did each of you drive up to "your" cabins-which were all still occupied by the previous nights guests, but you then gave my husband attitude when he explained check in is at 4pm! Each member of your party booked their cabin on-line. Because of this, I was unable to discuss with each of you the number in your party, what the cabins contain, sleeping capacity, etc.. If I would have been given the opportunity to speak to you when booking, I would have recommended a different cabin for your family of 5. Homesteader, now has a leather couch capable of comfortably seating four people. This is an upgrade from the futon that was previous in there. Yes, my photos need to be updated-however, if you read the description next to Homesteader cabin-it clearly states a leather couch in the living room. This would be the same sleeping area as a futon! Yes, I'm sure when a family of 5 travels half way across the country-there is a lot of luggage involved!! Please remember, these are authentic 90 year old log cabins! These are not new construction meant to "appear" authentically old. We would encourage any guest to call us directly with any questions about the cabins or their stay-

We were in the Araphaho Bunkhouse for 3 nights which was recently remodeled and upgraded. Beds were comfortable. Bathroom really small. Living room had a small bench and breakfast table so no couch to comfortably sit on. Very close to the hwy so hwy noise present unless we turned the window fan on. Property Managers were extremely nice and helpful with excellent suggestions on excursions and restaurants. Will most likely try a different cabin in the future, one that has a couch in the living room. With some TLC from the owner and Property Managers, this place can be a real gem.

Hello- thanks for reaching out to us. Yes! In fact, we have had the honor of hosting lots of weddings! I suggest you contact our Property Manager, Deborah McCord at 970-509-0810. Let her know what you're envisioning and she can tell you if/how we can make that happen!
Yes, they have two 2 bedroom cabins and one 3 bedroom. If you look on their website under lodging it tells about each cabin and the amenities they have.
Hi Lynn, we have a fan and all our cabins, so no need to bring one. You can clean your fish on your picnic table out front, we will just put garbage bags down. All your towels are supplied including shampoo and soap we do not however have a blow dryer. Our water is excellent you might want to bottle it up and take it home. The kitchen is stocked with cleaning supplies and coffee, pots and pans, dishes etc. just bring anything that you would buy from the grocery store, we have no condiments, please bring foil for the grill outside your cabin. If you have any other questions please give me a call at 970-509-0810. Looking forward to meeting you Lynn. Deborah
