We actually stayed here in July 2021, but I kept forgetting to write a review. Everything about our stay was perfect. Our room was huge, spotless, and lovely. Breakfast was yummy (green chile egg casserole 😁), and we were able to eat on the second level porch overlooking the vineyard. Our window looked out at Colorado National Monument behind us. We went to visit our nephew who lives very close (added bonus), and the National Monument where he is the superintendent. Amazing park. You totally have the feel of the UT national parks without the crowds. The Chateau is quite a large place, but still very quiet. It was lovely having the vineyard all around (especially as I was reading John 15 while there). I will definitely stay there again when we visit our nephew.
We stopped in after a day of hiking. We were greeted by Robbie who gladly accommodated us. Beautiful grounds and welcoming atmosphere. We didn’t have a chance to tour all of the grounds because they were closing soon. Would like to return. Great experience and left with a great bottle of wine to pair with our dinner. Would highly recommend!
What a little gem of a place. Great breakfast served with a smile (buffet but plenty of choice and including a hot entree option). The room was spacious and spotlessly clean and at a great price too. We did the wine tasting experience which gave us a flavour of the products on offer and we very much enjoyed the company of other visitors and the chance to swap travel notes and experiences. The staff were generous with their advice and made us feel welcomed and valued. Go ahead and book this place - you won't be disappointed. ps - its also a great location to drive the Colorado National Monument
We did some wine tasting about 3 weeks before our overnight stay and had a great time. Soooo, we thought why not go back and stay at the Chateau to celebrate our 55th anniversary. It was a great decision. The people here are very friendly and the facilities are great. Very nice and resonablely priced wine along with a terrific breakfast.
Beautiful estate nestled near the Colorado National Monument. The rooms are cute. The staff is super friendly and helpful. The morning breakfast is homemade and very tasty. Would definitely stay here again. Would be a great place to have your wedding at.
We had a wonderful two night stay at this beautiful location! It was romantic, quiet and relaxing...everything we wanted. The rooms were immaculate and the bed was so comfortable! We enjoyed the wine tasting and the information we received regarding the winery. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and can't wait until we visit again!
Lots of good wine at a very pretty location. All of the wines are made from Colorado grapes with about 20% grown on site. The wines are all very drinkable. I don't like Chardonnay but there version is pretty darn good. The Reisling is semi dry and one of the best I've tasted.
This is such a lovely spot with beautiful views of the mountains. My husband and I went on our honeymoon (2 years later due to COVID) and as we traveled across the West we found this place. It was so easy to book, and the stay included a free sampling of their wine. The room was spacious, clean and the bed very comfortable. The bathroom had coffee cups and coffee and there were snacks for a little charge in the room. The breakfast was included as well and consist of pastries, granola, cottage cheese, fruit, juices, a homemade casserole, and toast. The coffee was delicious as well. Everyone was very pleasant and accommodating. Highly recommend this place for your stay!
I saw that someone rated the wine tasting here poorly, and I can't imagine why. We visited again after go to Colorado National Monument (Two Rivers is very close to the south entrance) and had a great experience. Great wines, knowledgable host with great rapport. Wines are excellent and very reasonably priced. This is the best winery in Grand Junction and a must stop everytime we go through.
Our experience here was wonderful, from making reservations to checking out. When I made reservations, they credited our deposit from our last year's aborted visit (due to COVID). They didn't have to do that! On checking in, we had missed the wine tasting. Oh, well. But no, Brittany called over to her husband who brought a flight of wine to our room for us to enjoy at our leisure. Wow! The Chateau is charming. They've done a nice job. Our room was very nice. Big. A king bed, two bed tables, a set of chairs in the corner for reading, a table and chairs for eating on and a wardrobe. Big bathroom area. Quite comfortable. Breakfast was quite well done. In this day of COVID, they had a novel approach. They provided a daily order form with all their breakfast offerings (a hot dish daily plus a host of other breakfast items). A tray with our food was available at the time requested. The Chateau has both an inside and outside eating area. Bright and sunny. We just loved our time here. And rather inexpensive too. A bonus.…
