I wasn't sure what to expect when booking River Run RV Resort. We booked a family trip which consisted of 2 Airstreams, and 2 RV Spots. Our RV spot was awesome! Right on the water with a built in fridge, and grill. The Airstream Spots were the same, and of course the Airstreams were super cool. Our stay didn't go without hiccups. One of the Airstreams didn't have heat the first night, and the water had to be shut off on our last night due to abnormal freezing temperatures. However for what we paid, it was worth a couple of headaches. We did not use the pool, but did use the Arcade, General Store, Bowling Alley, Laundry Room, and Bar. We also rented Golf Carts which were quite fun and useful. The amenities are new and pristine. I was highly impressed by the Bathhouse for people who camp, all the shower and changing areas were huge incredibly private, and clean. The best I've ever seen at an RV Park. We plan to rent a Cabin this winter for a ski trip, pending they escape the fire dangers currently threatening the area. My fingers are crossed, and we're praying that Granby is not devastated by the fire. :( Not for our trip but for the overall wellbeing of our state and the people of Granby. The Resort is new, and the Employees are still working out the kinks. With that said, they are offering very affordable rates during this time. Like $175.00 a night for a two bedroom cabin over the Holidays. A generally unheard of rate in the Colorado Mountains almost anytime of the year. Be patient and willing to work through the growth they're having, and you'll get a great deal, and have a great time. At some point, I'm sure the prices will double. :)…
This is one of the nicest RV resorts I've ever stayed at. We recently sold our camper and slept in one of the conestoga wagons and it was comfortable and fun. You have all the typical campground amenities (fire pit, picnic table), plus loads more like bowling, restaurants, bounce houses, jenga, etc. There is no shortage of the fun things for kids. It's a relatively quick drive to the west entrance of Rocky Mountain NP with Lake Granby and Grand Lake in between. My only complaint is that there are fewer restrooms/showers than really needed for the size of the resort. But the bathrooms are also very clean and private.
We stayed at River Run in our own RV. We were there to visit Rocky Mountain National Park. There is still a lot of construction happening here but it is a beautiful resort. The vision is great and when finished I imagine it will be in high demand. The setting is amazing with incredible views of the sunrises and sunsets. All our interactions with staff (which to be honest weren’t that many because we were mostly doing our own thing) were positive. Everyone was friendly and helpful. I needed to print something from my email and while there is no business center as of yet, a kind gentleman in the front office set me up with one of their computers and printer to do what I needed to do. We had supper one night at the restaurant on site and ordered pizzas. They were very good. We sat outside on cozy couches next to a fireplace and played family games provided -giant Jenga and bean bag corn hole. We loved our stay here and didn’t want to leave but had to stay on our schedule to see other National Parks. Also we were traveling because our kids are doing school virtually and WiFi here was adequate for them to get their school work done and for my husband to get work done as well. If in the area again (which we hope to be)we will definitely look forward to staying here. …
Face it folks, they are still under some construction, but the overall experience and RV camping is top notch! This is and will be a great RV destination. Concrete pads, full hook ups, great staff and very clean facilities. We did not use the pool because of the cool temps. I think for the size of the facility, that in the future when everything is done, the pool, pickleball courts etc will not be enough for the number of people wanting to participate. Location is great. We enjoyed a trip thru Rocky Mountain National Park, Winter Park, Georgetown and Steamboat Springs. Although we had initially signed up for 4 days we ended up staying 8. We will defiantly be back in the future and really enjoyed our stay. Weekends are busy, so beware! Wifi actually works, so that is a big plus…
I don’t have any idea why anyone would say anything negative about this place. Yes, it’s new, so I’m sure they’re working out some kinks, but the amenities are all top notch. The pool, arcade, outdoor games, playground, etc. are perfect for families, the location is STUNNING, staff is super friendly. We ate one night at the restaurant and the food was very good. We stayed here three days with another family and we all want to come back!
