I have ridden all my life and have taken my Granddaughters on this trail ride. It is terrific, with spectacular scenery, healthy, well kept horses, and very personable trail guides with tons of experience. I've ridden with this Ranch three summers and the experience has always been delightful. From 6 years old to 99 years old, you will love it!

Our family of 12 just finished a week at DWR. We ranged in age from 3 to 68. DWR was everything as advertised, and more. Our six grandkids (ages 3-14) were busy every day and no one wanted to leave. The horseback riding was exceptional and it was amazing to see how the kids progressed through the week. All of the other activities were fantastic, especially the raft trip, and it was great to see kids just being kids! All adults had a fantastic time as well. The wranglers were exceptional; the Fosha family creates a truly family friendly environment; the customer service focus is outstanding; the meals were great; and the accommodations worked out perfectly. Highly recommended for any and all families looking to get unplugged in a beautiful Rocky Mountain setting.

We stayed at the DWR for a week in July 2019. My Grandkids, wife and I had a wonderful time. The owners Fosha Family treat you as one of their guests. We do not eat beef so they made alternate arrangements to meet our dietary needs. We loved horseback riding, Canoeing down the Colorado River, Fishing, Hiking and Zip-lining. We found this Dude Ranch through the Internet as highly rated which came true when we stayed there. Families have been coming for generations to enjoy the beautiful scenery and hospitality of the Foshas. We plan to come back with a large Family entourage. The best thing is that Kids have their own program so the Adults can enjoy Riding and other activities while still doing things together as a family. They match you with your own horse. My horse named Storm was very good. The ranch owns 120 horses.

What an amazing experience at Drowsy Water Ranch. We booked this for our group of 10: ranging in age between 7-80, and everyone had an amazing time. For the adults, the days were scheduled as much or as little as you wanted them to be: you had the opportunity to go on daily (full or half day) rides, or you could go on ranch scheduled activities like white water rafting or ziplining. Our entire family went on the white water rafting, and we had the BEST time. It was such a great way to get off the ranch and have a fun family experience for the day. Also, the rapids were only level 3 and everyone felt safe :) A few days our group of adults took the afternoon off from riding and hung out at the ranch and played horseshoes, cards, etc. The kids were off with the Range Riders, riding horses, doing crafts, collecting eggs, making up a skit, etc. They had the best time. The food was fantastic. The staff was fantastic. The organized activities were great and exactly what you would hope for from a Family run ranch. My kids SOBBED TEARS OF SADNESS when we left. What bigger review could you ever hope for than that!

My family just finished our 4th trip to the ranch, and have already scheduled our 5th. The Fosha family is as welcoming a host as you’ll find and we consider them our friends. Still the only TRULY unplugged, regenerating, and relaxing vacation we have ever been on. Don’t get me wrong, they keep you active, but you find yourself building new relationships (with horse and fellow guests) while seemingly forgetting about the real world at home!
