This was our seventh trip to C Lazy U. Our first since becoming empty nesters. This place is amazing. The staff, horse back riding, cabins, food, wine, spa etc. are just wonderful! We completely disconnect from the "real world" while enjoying CLU. All of the amenities were great. This is truly our very favorite vacation spot. My tell tale sign of a great place is if there is a "problem" it is addressed and corrected. We are looking forward to booking again next year!
Our visit to the C Lazy U Ranch over the Memorial Day holiday proved to be our best family vacation ever. Our boys are at ages (20, 18 and 15) where it's hard to find family trips everyone will enjoy. But at the C Lazy U Ranch, we had so many incredible experiences bonding as a family while horseback riding, mountain biking, fly fishing, trap shooting and just hanging out by the fire in the evening. The staff at the ranch were simply wonderful - everyone was so welcoming, engaging and instructive in helping guide us all through every activity. The food was fantastic. While our visit occurred in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic, we felt safe and secure. Staff were diligent in looking out for everyone's safety. All touch points were sanitized without fail (including saddles, shotguns, fly rods and even water bottles). Food and drink were handled with care. Social distancing was maintained, but in a manner in which everyone could still engage with staff and other guests at the ranch. It was so refreshing to have a getaway where fears over Covid-19 faded away. Our family couldn't be more thankful of the opportunity to visit the C Lazy U Ranch. It's truly a special place run by a group of incredible people. …
We just returned from a long weekend trip with my son and his family. This trip was a gift to us from them. It was one of the best trips trips we have been on. My oldest granddaughter rides and was so excited to go and she was not disappointed at all! I cannot say enough about the kindness of the wranglers working with children here. My 3 grandchildren, 10, 8 and 6 all had such a fantastic time and made friends quickly. There were so many activities planned for them, they were never without something to do. My husband and I went on a ranger tour of the property with Mike and it was awesome. He was so knowledgeable about the area and showed us certain carvings on some trees that were 80 years old. Mike also pointed out bear claw markings from where bears claimed the trees. We went to the top of some mountains and had beautiful views of the area. Our cabin was beautifully appointed with comfortable beds and a great sitting area with a fire place. We were in Hill, which is a 3 bedroom cabin. The service was excellent. The meals were fantastic and food plentiful. The children ate breakfast and lunch with the family, then dined with their friends at dinner. My daughter in law and I both took advantage of the Spa while there. I had a massage, she had a massage and a tub soak. If you have a chance do it! It is set over the river and so relaxing. Overall I have to say this place is 5 star service for me. The GM Dave is around all the time to talk to you and answer any questions. The entire staff was so welcoming and friendly. They got you anything you needed and were always asking you if you needed anything. We all had so much fun, especially the children. I loved seeing the smiles on their faces. Thank you everyone at C Lazy U Ranch for a wonderful family trip!…
Great facilities, incredible food, amazing and I mean amazing wine cellar (the wine steward knows her stuff) .....but the real plus of this 8 day adventure was the staff. Always there to help and instruct. My two fly fishing guides David and Austin knew their stuff. The didn't come with a set agenda, but worked at my skill level (intermediate) to make sure I had an incredible time on the water. The could certainly improve the fly fishing facilities/room at the ranch, but we spent our time and the water...which is where the fish are. My wife loved the horseback riding. She was sore but couldn't wait to get back on. Rooms were comfortable..but get rid of the tubs..swap them out for showers..great beds....the sounds of the coyotes at night...the horses being driven in every morning from the pastures...it in a word was wonderful!…
The process for reserving includes emailing them where you wait for a response. Then you call to make the reservation. I was okay until that point. I called three times with no answer then I finally reached someone. They were on the phone with me and the call dropped multiple times in the middle of making the reservation. This occurred several times so I indicated I'd call back from a landline with them knowing I was trying to make a reservation. No answer when I called again. So first thing at a reasonable hour I reach the same person who says she gave the reservation away already while I'm busy booking air with 4 people. She was of the mindset -- too bad we booked it already. Definitely not a 5 star experience.
