I am extremely disappointed with safety precautions being taken at the hot springs during the time of this pandemic. I was told that the hot springs would be at 50% capacity and that masks would be REQUIRED by food service areas and restrooms, but that has not been enforced whatsoever. Social distancing is not being enforced in lines and it does not appear that shared intertubes are being disinfected. I was told that masks would be required when waiting in line for food but the majority of people do not have face coverings. The majority of the individuals in line are not 6 feet apart. Safety precautions are trivial unless actually enforced.Extremely disappointed. We are leaving immediately.

Hotel's Favorite
The steaming hot mineral bath pool feels mystical as well as healing with beautiful views and relaxing heated natural mineral bath on the cold and snowy Colorado winter nights. The facility works great for gatherings of families, friends, and/or colleagues, and can easily be a full day excursion....

We are here during their second week of having the lodge open and only the 5th day of having the pool open under Covid 19. We made reservations back in December and held them - just in case. I can't say enough about how staff have worked so hard to make the experience as good as possible under state/county mandated restrictions. Things to know: The pool is limited to 50% or about 650 swimmers. The pool opens at 9 and if you get there right at 9 or slightly before plan on a 30-45 minute wait. If you come 10 ish little or no line. They do the best they can to expedite the process but with social distancing, it just takes time. Breakfast for hotel guests It is grab and go - you can get a breakfast biscuit with egg and either bacon or ham plus cheese and hashbrowns (like the ones you get at a fast food restaurant). It was OK at best, pretty dry but they also have fruit, pastries, yogurt, coffee, juice and milk. No seating inside (at least as of this writing) but once you are in the pool area, they have a patio with tables and chairs that they open up. Considering restrictions, they really did a good job. Also, they are only allowed 10 people in the restaurant at a time so you may face a wait as well. We went about 9 and had to wait just a few minutes. Again, staff was amazing. Cabanas Because of social distancing, some cabanas have been combined to make one big cabana. What a deal! We did that for 2 days and it was amazing. We had a party of 8 and it was just lovely to have all that space. We usually get a cabana, but this was like having a small living room. As always, cabanas are limited so reserve ahead. Rooms: No daily room service. The room was beautifully clean and they sanitize between each set of guests. Even though there is not daily service, anything you might need - towels, soaps, etc., are easily available from the front desk. As of this writing, the spa was not open so no spa services available but they said they were working on that next with the county/state. Masks All public areas except when you are in the pool. Compliance by staff is 100%, guests maybe 60%. Overall - staff has been amazing. Some guests no so much because of waits etc., but over all what an amazing way to break quarantine. Reservations filling up fast they said, but still a wonderful experience even with all the social distancing restrictions.

We loved staying here! Kathleen at the front desk was a real "gem" in making sure our needs were met! It was just a quick walk across the street to get to their incredible steaming hot springs swimming pool, and the view from the room was simply lovely. The made to order breakfast in the morning made us wish we could have stayed longer. The bed was super comfortable and my husband loved the pillows. Everything was very clean and the hotel was very quiet during our stay. Attached in the photos are the map of the hotel and a list of restaurants (as of March 2020) that the front desk provided at check-in. A big shout-out to Lucy in the gift shop as well for going above and beyond to help us with the purchase of ear drops that we had forgot to bring with us, you all are amazing!

Full continental plus an omelette station, pancakes, bacon etc! If I am ever passing through again we will totally be back!
