This place lacks customer service, obviously picking and choosing who they would like to be nice to. They have no promotional packages like tickets to the hot springs or anywhere, which is falsely advertised on their website. There is no breakfast and feels more like a refurbished motel. They had work being done throughout the day and well passed 10pm being done right in front of our room. Hotel is next to highway as well which is always noisy. Honestly would not recommend for several reasons.
We stayed here two years ago and really liked it. It was our go to place when we came back to Glenwood Springs again. Clean comfortable rooms with easy access to the Iron and Glenwood Hot Springs. The rooms have been updated since our last stay, so that was a nice surprise.
This place is an excellent family run property with large rooms that are very clean. I was recently on a solo trip across the country and needed a place to spend a night. I wanted a nice, clean room at a great value and I found that at the Hanging Lake Inn. The room was very clean. It was large and the bed was very comfortable. I like to support family run businesses over chains whenever it makes sense and this is one case where it definitely makes sense. I would stay here again.
The owner, obviously takes pride in his place. He was there to check us in and also told us of the changes to visiting Hanging Lake and gave directions to the bus. Even though the hotel is on a busy frontage road, the noise wasn't too bad. We stayed on the second floor and the room was clean and nice. The price was great and we also booked a room for the return trip. We were on a vacation to The Grand Canyon and this was just a stop over. The owner was originally from the midwest and it shows He has great Midwestern values! A good family run business. I would stay there again
We had booked our room about a week in a advance with no issues. I recieved emails and it was added to my calendar that we were all set. We arrived at the property and were greeted by a rude blonde woman who told us our reservation was canceled due to the room in my name with my husband's credit card and that we should have received and email. I checked my email and had recieved the notification 40 minutes ago from booking.com so around 645pm No emails from hangin lake. I feel an email the day of check in is not sufficient, especially if you are driving with limited service, maybe a phone call would be better. The lady was very rude and told us they were all booked and that was that. We wanted to try a cute motel this trip but luckily ended up in the Hampton Inn! Cute place we were bummed we couldnt enjoy it!…
