We stayed here because it was the based Hilton between the 2 National Parks we were going between, Black Canyon and Rocky Mountain. What we did not realize until we got closer to the trip is the attraction of the hot springs here and we were able to walk to the springs and downtown to eat. The location was great just off the Interstate. It was a newer hotel and we got a first floor room. For me it was the upper 10% of Hamptons. I would absolutely stay here again, very nice and very easy.
When we arrived with my husband and our son we immediately felt welcomed and appreciated. Night time front desk representative named Streeter made our arrival and whole stay at Glenwood Springs very pleasant and interesting and exciting. All the things he suggested to do at this town were amazing. We decided to stay an extra day and Streeter recommended a local hike-- which we went on and had a great time (the view was incredible). Streeter had such a positive attitude the entire time and is probably one of the best front desk employees I've had the pleasure to interact with. The room was very clean and nice and Streeter friendliness and positive attitude made our stay at Hampton Inn by Hilton Glenwood Springs 100% positive experience.
We have stayed at this Inn at least 6-8 times over the past 12 years. The location, staff, amenities, and facility have previously been top notch for the cost in Glenwood Springs. However, it seems only the staff and location are still up to standards. The lack of up-to-date/USB power outlets in the room, tired bathroom fixtures, and exterior items like the outdoor patio furniture needs an upgrade. For sure, it's time to get rid of the old sliding bathroom doors or, at least put a recessed handle into them so they can be easily closed. We hope to return again someday but please, no more excuses about telling management about our complaints - invest some upgrade money or change your affiliation to Super 8.
Awful experience with this Hampton Inn hotel. Hilton Hhonors members are not recognised at all. Hotel staff did not follow up on any requests. Hotel needs major renovation. The only reason to stay there is location
Do not stay here!!! This area overall seems cool, not this area though, Restaurant life is scarce and the hotel selection is even worse. Must add 200 hundred characters, well this hotel chain needs to step up their game. Hampton Inn, the hotel you pass up if you are looking for a good nights sleep.
During our road trip through Colorado, this was the worst hotel we booked. Where to begin...first the check in clerk was a bit rude. The mattress on our bed was awful and needed replacing. The window shade was broken. You had to book an appointment to have your room serviced through the front desk, which of course the rude guy failed to inform us. Came back from a long day to no clean towels, trash cans full. No towels at the pool both times we used it either. Pool was cloudy and needed tending. Elevator was really dirty. Outside looked shabby. Landscaping had been neglected. Outside patio space, which could be very nice, was a combination of dead plants, weeds and garbage. This was one of our higher priced hotels and certainly not up to Hampton Inn quality.
This is a very old property, has not been updated in many years. In our room, the paint was chipping off the furniture, the closet doors did not slide, the air conditioner was extremely loud, the refrigerator did not work, the drain in bathroom sink barely drained... On another note, the staff was helpful and friendly. However, we will not stay at this facility again!
Visited in June 2022, inside public areas and room were clean and maintained. Difficult to control room temp. with wall A/C positioned below window, either too cold or too warm, fan very noisy. Included buffet breakfast and lobby coffee station were satisfactory. Outside patio area off of indoor pool was a major disappointment, the overall condition of this area was terrible. White plastic tables and chairs were covered with black spots and looked like they hadn't been cleaned in a very long time. Table umbrellas had mold on the fabric. Vegetation along retaining walls not maintained, dead and overgrown shrubs, many weeds due to lack of mulch or stones covering bare soil. Lastly, lock on door connecting patio area to indoor pool broken, if door was not held open with a chair, guests locked out of building. Wouldn't take much to improve appearance. …
Thanks to Sally the general manager for helping to sort out a reservation that was inadvertently booked through reservation desk.com vs directly with the hotel. Thank you for being so helpful!! I hope we still get out to Glenwood Springs. It is so beautiful!
