We recently stayed at the Hotel Colorado for 2 nights. The hotel is very historic and you can tell it was once a very grand place. The hotel is in need of some updating but you feel like you've stepped back in time when you enter the grand lobby with the large fireplaces and grand piano. We stayed in room... More

The best thing is the hotel itself - it oozes the 1893 vintage of it's construction. Second best thing is that the Glenwood Pool is next door. Third thing- the food we had over four different meals was very good, and the dining room is wonderful. Fourth thing- the staff was very accommodating. Fifth- it is a not to be... More

I would stay in the future IF the rooms were updated. We paid extra to have a family suite to sleep 5 and in the room I stayed in with my husband, there was a connecting door to another guest room and we could hear EVERYTHING the next couple said-and they were not yelling. That meant that when these individuals... More

Dear Guest, Thank you for taking the time out of your busy schedule to give us your feed back on your recent stay. I am sorry to hear that you did not fully enjoy your stay with us. My daughter and I were passing through Colorado and decided to check out the hot springs in Glenwood Springs. We did a fast search as we drove and found the Hotel Colorado, which is across the road from Glenwood Hot Springs Lodge. We saw mostly good reviews but a couple of comments about uncomfortable beds and no A/C. (It was... More

Dear Guest, Thank you for taking the time out of you busy schedule to provide us with your feedback. It is with pleasure to read that you enjoyed our Hotel so much while visiting the Hot Springs. We were passing through, on our way from So. CA to Denver. A friend recommended this "funky hotel." The hotel is NOT funky, it's historic and charming in a nice location. My companion and I checked in and decided to have a drink and dinner there, after a very long drive. We ordered martinis. They were watery and weak, at... More

Dear Guest, Thank you for providing us with your feedback on your recent stay at the Hotel Colorado. I am very pleased to hear that you enjoyed your stay at the Hotel. I stayed at the Hotel Colorado recently on a short business trip to Glenwood Springs, and I thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The hotel has all of the modern conveniences one would expect, but it has retained almost all of the feel of an old Victorian hotel from the 1800s. It's extremely well maintained and authentic, and it has quite a... More

I stayed at Hotel Colorado when I was a kid (about 20 years ago) and recently came back with my family for old times' sake. This hotel is located just across the river from downtown Glenwood Springs and is just a short walk from the hot springs--and it is by far the most eye-catching building in town. The courtyard blooms... More

The hotel was beautiful. Their courtyard was magical at night the staff will come out and light a fire for you. The gentleman who checked us in, Daniel, had to have been one of the best hosts. He made our stay even better.

This is a fun experience. It's much better than most of the hotels in the area, but you will pay for the experience. If you have the "bucks" pre-reserve the Teddy Roosevelt room. It is the balcony room directly in the middle of the hotel overlooking the garden. It is where Teddy Roosevelt actually stayed when he went to Glenwood... More

Dear Guest, Thank you for your feedback. I am so pleased to hear that you enjoyed the hotel and its rich history so much. It is indeed a unique experience to walk in the foot steps of President Roosevelt in his room and stand on the balcony where he had his speeches. We hope to see you back soon. More

I stayed here on the 2nd night of a tour as we worked our way thru Colorado and into New Mexico. Having left a nice fancy hotel in downtown Denver, this hotel was not exactly what we had in mind. Granted it's an old historic hotel that was built in 1893 and apparently it hasn't been updated much since then.... More
