Everything was spectacular. The views were just as beautiful as promised, the landscaping and maintenance was breathtaking and perfect; a new gorgeous scene at every single turn. The flowers and herbs and plant life everywhere gave the whole resort a relaxing botanical fragrance. We chose this resort because of the dog-friendly reputation, which they absolutely lived up to. Our husky had just as great of a time as we did, and was treated like a member of the family by the staff. The rooms were gorgeous and made me really feel like I was on vacation. We opted for the suite with a fireplace in the room and the outdoor hot tub under the stars. I can’t recommend the hot tub enough. The weather dropped by 40 degrees while we were there, and we still used the hot tub at least twice a day. (One note, maintenance came in through the back gate to clean the hot tub once a day, whether you’re in the room or not. It was a little shocking to see someone out there, especially while we were in bed, but luckily we aren’t very shy, haha.) The pools were also gorgeous and well-maintained, and we would have certainly enjoy them if the weather hadn’t turned cold. Room service was fantastic, and the staff was so kind that it was a joy to see and chat with the same people each day. (In-room dining was being served To-Go style because of Covid, but it definitely didn’t take away from the quality.) The staff at the Kiva Cafe coffee shop on sight were outstanding, and were clearly enjoying their job, which always helps service quality. I wish I remembered the barista’s name, but she made a different special coffee for my wife each day I came in. The Paradox Grille was great for in-room and casual dinner, but the restaurant Entrada was a spectacular dining experience. Our server was amazing, the food was exciting and inventive, and Chef Nick even came to the table several times to check on us and talk about the menu. OOH. One totally random thing that I wasn’t expecting, but ended up being such a cool addition to the trip was the Gateway Auto Museum. Last place I expected to find an auto museum, and I’m not even a huge car guy, but it was attached to the resort, free unlimited admission with your stay, and it was such an awesome collection of classic and antique cars. Plus, my wife is a mechanic’s daughter, so she was like a kid in a candy store. The adventure center was a lot of fun as well. Weather didn’t permit us to do many excursions, but I checked out a bike one afternoon, and had one of the best, most relaxing hours of my life. Just riding through the hills and all over the resort in the cold canyon air was exactly what I needed. I’m sure there’s more, and I could go on about the resort all day. And I’m pretty sure I already have. Just know that we had the best time, we will definitely be back, and we will recommend it to everyone we know.

We just arrived home from a 3 day vacation at the resort. We had seen and read about it in travel magazines, but did not know anyone who had visited. With COVID keeping us in state, we were craving a place to relax and unwind for a few days. This resort is a hidden gem. It’s an oasis out in the middle on no where desert in Colorado. The rooms are spacious and very clean. We loved the options of the multiple pools since it was in the upper 90s while we were there. We ate at both restaurants and the food and cocktails were delicious. The staff was super friendly and met all our needs. We were even able to bring our dog with us, as they welcome pets and have lots of space to walk them on the property. In addition to relaxing by the pool we enjoyed the hiking trails that you can access right from the property, the views are truly breathtaking. We loved our servers Jon, Danee and Nick who took such good care of us. If you are looking for a quiet place to relax, this is the place.

Third time's a charm! We tried to book here twice to celebrate a BIG anniversary and a BIG birthday, but both times were thwarted by the fires that made Glenwood Canyon impassable. We finally made it for a one-night stay, but we had so much relaxation and pleasure that it felt like a longer vacation. The service was impeccable and friendly, our room with a private outdoor patio and jacuzzi was amazing and our service dog was treated like royalty. By far the best thing was the beautiful architecture and grounds in a breathtaking setting. Bikes are available for your complimentary use, and they offer a wide variety of tours and experiences. We had our celebratory dinner at the Paradox Grill because the fine dining venue was closed on Monday and Tuesday, but our meal there was elegant enough for us and the outdoor seating was preferable in this time of COVID. I wish we could have stayed longer, but we delighted to finally make it at all. We will be back the next time we have a need to be treated like royalty! PS Don't miss a visit to the Automobile Museum!

My wife and I spent two nights here in late August. It was extraordinary in every respect. The setting is hands down the most beautiful of any setting for any hotel, or maybe anything, we have ever seen. The international staff, from Kenya, Zimbabwe, and various US states, was top shelf. So friendly, so nice, so professional, and so accomodating. The food was, well, out of this world. We dined two nights at Entrada. The trout, sable fish, lamb chops and steak had us shaking our heads in amazement. We live three hours from this place. How could we not have come here before now? This place is special. If you want to feel more important than you probably are, come here. Make the trip!

My husband and I were celebrating our 40 th wedding anniversary and needed to book a driving getaway due to Covid19. What a Fabulous surprise! Had no idea this resort existed until mentioned by a friend. Truly a world class resort, a bit of a trek to get to, but worth the trip. The backdrop is extraordinarily beautiful and relaxing. Definitely low key and not high action like Aspen, but perfect for relaxing and unwinding. The Casitas with outdoor fire pit were truly a treat. We are on a mission to stay in all of America’s best resorts and this would rank with many. Not as many dining options as the Broadmoor and the food could use some help, but well worth the effort to get here and allow the majesty of the surroundings take over.
