We were thrilled to come back to one of our favorite destinations to enjoy some much needed down time. Because we brought our little Westie, Lola, we stayed in the cozy Mariposa cabin. We enjoyed daily walks with Lola, a little snowshoeing and some wonderful time to read, relax and unwind. It was great to savor the wonderful, creative breakfasts each morning along with dinner entrees that included Chicken enchiladas, veggie lasagna and a delightful meat/cheese and fruit tray. The best food in the area by far! Great memories to join the many others we have of the inn and the hospitality of the innkeepers, Chris & John.
This is the perfect place to stay in the Fraser/Winter Park area. Close enough to the ski areas without being in the crowds, remote enough to feel a true mountain experience. The hosts Chris and John are amazing, friendly, and serve a fabulous breakfasts fit for royalty! We had to leave early due to medical situation and Chris was extremely accommodating and generous.
We stayed two nights at the Wild Horse Inn for bed and breakfast. Skiing at Winter park was about 15 minutes away, and that was perfect for us. The strawberry creek room had a king size bed, very comfortable, and lovely linens. We had a small balcony and that was perfect for our cooler with wine and snacks. The pandemic impacts the experience. Breakfast was packaged to take to our room where a folding bistro table and two chairs accommodated our in room dining. Like every other social experience, this will be much better after Covid is not a factor. I give them a high rating for the quality of the Inn and food, and for hanging in there in these tough times.
An excellent choice for a quiet, gorgeous, wonderful bed and breakfast in the mountains close to everything. We hadn’t read the reviews when we booked but our stay exceeded our expectations. Delicious breakfast included!
My boyfriend and I stayed in one of the cabins for a long weekend, and it is our favorite trip we’ve taken together because of it. It’s perfect, secluded, comfortable, super cute, and has all of the necessities. We both work in health care and have had a nightmarish few months, we were able to unplug and reconnect for the first time in a long time here. The hosts are the nicest most accommodating people and the best chefs! Breakfast was unreal, I don’t think I’ve had anything that good outside of my own house. Getting to warm up by a cozy fire after a day of snowboarding, and soaking in the jetted tub were definitely some highlights. It’s in a super convenient location compared to town, but far enough away from the road that it feels like you’re in the middle of nowhere. I have 1000 other things I want to say but bottom line if you’re considering staying here, just do it. You won’t regret it. This felt like such a more intimate/personal experience than your average nice hotel stay. We will definitely be returning. …
