Overlooking the Vliho bay, a place with great vibe, makes you feel calm and peaceful. We spent five days in Cleopatra hotel. Our rooms had an amazing view on the sea. The staff was very friendly and kind. Breakfast was rich with homemade goodies. Visiting the hotel this summer, we felt very relieved to see that all the necessary security measures were taken in order to achieve a covid-free environment. A family of four, we also had the opportunity to relax by the pool while the kids had ski lessons. That was made very easy for us, since the ski teacher came to meet us at the hotel pier. We also arranged to have our own private boat at the hotel pier, and had great time sailing to Meganissi island and other great beaches. Overall, a great choice in a family owned renovated hotel in Lefkada.

This was a return visit for us and the Cleopatra has lost none of its comfort and charm and it's outstanding location will take some beating anywhere you can travel to. It's vistas are stunningly beautiful and it's position next to the sea where a boat can be moored and hired is a bonus. The staff are working very hard indeed to keep its very high standards of cleanliness at all times and couldn't do anymore. We felt very safe and well looked after in these difficult times. We would recommend hiring a car but the local taverns are very good and close by.

Disliked -Nothing at all, it was perfect for us

Beautiful hotel so peaceful and quiet in a tranquil setting . We went in August and the most round the pool in one day was 6 people ! It was very relaxing . 4 Amazing Greek tavernas about a 15 min walk away. Desimi beach 20 min walk or the bustling town on Nidri a 15 min taxi which cost €10. A lot of people rented a car because of location but we didn’t and still got about. Hotel was spotless and clean , staff were amazing so friendly and helpful. Only thing was no tea/coffee facilities in the room but throat was the only downside. Pool was massive and had it to ourselves most days. Would highly recommend this hotel for a peaceful break.

Everything about this hotel is great, the location, the rooms, the staff. It is very quiet and situated by the beach where you can rent a boat to further explore the island of Lefkada, such as Skorpios, Meganisi and others.
We have been there twice in 2019 and 2021 and really enjoyed our time.

We have stayed here several times with Travelux. The hotel is small only 16 rooms but it is wonderful for that get away from it all break.it is at the end of the inlet of the sea and the views are very pretty. The rooms are basic but comfortable and as with most of Greece the showers are inadequate but you get use to it and the toilet paper in the bin! The hotel has its own boat jetty which is very useful.
The continental breakfast is fine and the locally baked bread delicious! The swimming is quite large for a small hotel and very clean. The staff are great and always very helpful, the owners pop by too on occasion and always have a lovely greeting for you!
With Travelux you have the added benefit of having a car or boat or both if there are 4 Adults in your group. This is superb as you can explore many places with either vehicle. The area has lots to offer and nearby there are some stunning little coves and beaches that are only accessible by boat, certainly worth exploring.
Just a few minutes walk from the hotel there are several good restaurants offering a delight of Greek food and nothing is too much trouble! Our favourite is the Seaside restaurant where Costa has many delicious dishes to tempt you with and often his "Mamma" will make you the dish of the day, try sampling the fried courgettes they are to die for!!
Nidri is only a small village on the other side of the inlet but here there are many tavernas and restaurants offering almost anything you wish to eat, also a great bakery and other shops. A bit further down the coast is a small but sandy beach. We always go at the beginning of June so it's never really crowded and the weather is great, hot & sunny!!
Trips can be made to nearby Megannissi & Fiscardo(Kefalonia) by the local ferry from Nidri. Both are a nice short trip and lovely for a day out.
We visited here a few years ago and have returned many times, yes it is simple but if you are prepared to take the risk I'm confident you won't be disappointed!
The hotel has many steps so not really suitable for the infirm or small children with buggies.

I recently stayed here for about a week, and here are my tips for anyone interested :
Pro:
-great rooms, comfortable beds, nice interior design (marble sink and traditional wood doors), the breakfast is OK, it hasn't got a huge variety of ingredients but what it has is delicious!, the swimming pool is nice and is being doubled by a smaller one for the kids, it has a few tables on the grass just on the edge so you can fully admire the view.
Con:
-I wished the shower cabin was a bit bigger, but hey , my height is 186cm, so I don't think I share this problem with lots of people.

We've just returned to the UK after a lovely week spent at the Cleopatra Beach Hotel in Geni. We had a thoroughly relaxing time. 28 or 29 degrees every day, 14 - 21 September. For us, there was nothing to fault the hotel for. A very attractive establishment, the location on the waterfront was simply stunning. Our room was very comfortable and was cleaned thoroughly on a daily basis. It had a fabulous view overlooking the pool, with the sea and the mountains in the background. Simply lovely. The grounds were very well kept and the pool was excellent. The inclusive breakfasts provided a great range of choice. Poolside snacks and drinks were served throughout the day too, and bottles of water could be purchased from the hotel too, which was handy as there were no shops nearby. The hotel staff could not have been more helpful. There were no more than 20 to 30 guests at any one time, a slightly older crowd, couples, mainly Dutch, German/Austrian, and Scandinavian from what we could see, with a Romanian couple there too. We were the only British people, though English and Greek were the languages used at the hotel. The local Desimi Beach was about 15-20 min walk away. Lovely location, beautiful pebble beach with clear water and trees growing along it for extra shade. As it was mid-September it was not too busy, which we really appreciated. It has a few tavernas and the Kantina beachside cafe that we particularly liked. A lovely woman runs that. In the small hamlet of Geni, a 15-minute walk or so from the hotel, there are three or four tavernas serving excellent food. Lots of cats everywhere! Our favourite place was the Taverna Dimitris positioned in a spectacular setting overlooking the sea. A very friendly family-run eatery, 3 generations. Excellent food...we especially loved the grilled sardines and the orange cake with vanilla ice cream, which was to die for! We went back there time and time again. We did not rent a car as we were happy just to relax, chill, and soak up the local atmosphere, but we would recommend that you hire one if you wanted to explore the island in more depth. There are no buses running locally. The very bustling and touristy town of Nydri was a 10 min taxi ride away (10 euros each way) We paid 60 euros each way for a taxi from the airport to the hotel, 45 mins away. We did do an island boat trip, which was good. It took us to some of the spectacular beaches on the west coast and over to Fiskardo on nearby Kefalona too, which was a great place to hang out for a few hours. If you are after a wild time this place is really not for you, but if you want peace and relaxation and value for money then it is a wonderful place to spend a few days.
