This is an older lodge, but it was comfortable and met my needs just fine, especially for such a great price. Owner was super friendly. Bed was comfortable, the appliances all functioned properly, and the non-smoking room was clean. I was a little annoyed at the lack of any outlets in the bathroom, and had to pull out the dresser... The room was spacious and clean, there was absolutely nothing wrong with this place. Big parking lot, easy to find. Had chairs in front of the room so you could sit outside in the nice weather. Conveniently located near gas and food. Front desk was really friendly. Only $50 for the room and I think I got a AAA discount... More

This family owned motel located off the highway leading to the Great Sand Dunes near Fort Garland, Colorado is a rustic, clean, retro-style cabin type experience. It surprisingly had a frig and microwave in the room, TV, hair dryer and soap and shampoo. I was not expecting too much as I arrived in the middle of the night and just... More

Stayed here last winter after our RV had a freeze in the water pump, while working on our property in the area. Very charming motel. Owner is super friendly and the rooms are very big. We stayed with our two small kids and two dogs and had plenty of space. Beds were comfortable and the room was clean. Would definitely... More

SO CLEAN!!!Really great little place. My boyfriend goes to school in Colorado Springs, so we decided to meet in Ft Garland. The place is family owned and they are all very nice. The rooms have two beds, a fridge, a microwave and a tv. Extremely CLEAN!!! Overall I was happy, and plan to return! Oh and while you're there, eat... More

My family and I spent one night here on our way to Ouray. It was a mistake. I would have much rather drove the entire 15 hours than stop here. The owners were nice people, however when we asked for a non-smoking room, that is not what we got. Our room smelled terrible(like smoke)and was not clean. My dad's lungs... More

We have stayed here for 4 nights now. It is a wonderful little place to stay. the owners are very friendly and willing and able to do whatever it takes to make your stay amazing. you couldn't ask for a friendlier town, and the views can't be beat. would absolutely recommend this to anyone that is coming through this area.

Wish I could give this place 5 stars. We really enjoyed this place outside the Great Sand Dunes National Park. Richard was very friendly, telling us about his hunting lodgers that visit every year. Our room - about 15' x 20' - had two queen beds with room to dance around them - and very high ceilings. We both loved... More

. We stayed here in Sept. (just 1 night because I wanted to be closer to Sand Dunes Natl Park). This place is inexpensive basic lodging but had all the essentials-refrigerator, microwave, tv and ac. And it was spotlessly clean. Manager was very friendly to boot. That's why I gave this place high marks.
