The location of the hotel is convenient ... in the middle of old town and not far from the CSU campus. Great to have this piece of Fort Collins history restored. Our suite was a comfortable size, the bed super comfy but the bathroom was small. Given its location, it can be noisy outside. You can turn on the AC... More

We have stayed at this historic property several tijes and like the location. Downtown Ft Collins is as good as it gets for the restaurants and street scene. The Armstrong keeps up with the rooms we like and keep improving.

I started staying at the Armstrong Hotel when it was still the Mountain Empire Hotel; It is the only hotel I would consider staying at in Fort Collins. It is right in the heart of Old Town near many great shops and restaurants. The Armstrong is a historic building; the only drawback is the noisy in room air conditioners. We... More

The Armstrong is in a great location and includes plenty of parking behind hotel and with close overflow lot. The rooms were spotless, but a little out of proportion -- the bedrooms were smaller and the bathroom was huge. We stayed in a two room suite and there were no mirrors other than in the bathroom, which doesn't work great... More

Love Ft. Collins overall walk-ability. The Armstrong is soooo close to so many great restaurants, shops and the Old Square many times offering live music and entertainment. The rooms are very nice, although a little dark. But, it is an historic venue, so natural lighting is a bit of a challenge.

Thank you so much for your wonderful review. Our location in downtown is very nice; its hard to imagine that in 1923 we were the southern most edge of town. We are aware that the lighting is a bit of a challenge. When we see you again, should you get a dimmer room, just let the front desk agents know... More

We were visiting Cheyenne Frontier Days rodeo and Fort Collins seemed like a good place to stay, being only a 40 minute drive away from Cheyenne and a 1.5 hour drive from Denver international airport, where we had flown in. Fort Collins itself is a lovely town and The Armstrong hotel is right in the heart of it on S... More

Thank you for your feedback. We do not offer breakfast with our guest rooms as we are located so close to many great Fort Collins restaurants. Our front desk agents are more than happy to recommend a restaurant for any taste. We are currently upgrading our air conditioning units. By the end of this year, all 45 of our unique... More

This hotel has a real old-fashioned charm! It's located in the middle of a great area with lots of good restaurants and shops. We were just passing through, but had a great dinner (with music in the streets) and then slept well on the comfortable bed!

during a reent trip to Ft Collins to visit myhusbands family we stayed at the Armstrong hotel. I love the vintage feel of the room we stayed in and the dowtown feel of the surrounding shops and restaurants. Some of the rooms have been updated. Some are still in some need. The bed was not as comforrtable as it could... More
