We had such a nice few days at Highland Haven Creekside Inn. The staff were all friendly, warm, and helpful. The breakfasts were tailored to some dietary needs we have. The cabin where we stayed was delightful.

What a wonderful experience! In terms of location, the cabins are conveniently located near everything that downtown Evergreen has to offer, but they still provide a sense of privacy and an ability to enjoy wilderness. Evergreen is also conveniently located. We enjoyed Evergreen for most of the trip but also day tripped to Denver (an easy 35 minute drive) and Idaho Springs (20 minutes) and had a blast.
In terms of lodging, we stayed in the fireside loft, and the room was spotless, cozy and well-appointed. The staff members were super friendly and helpful. As much as my husband and I couldn't believe how welcoming the room and staff were, we were even more amazed with the breakfast, which they delivered to the room. It was delicious, hearty, healthy and most importantly, sustaining. We waited for breakfast each morning before we started our hikes, which were multi-hour, double-digit hikes with significant climbs. The breakfast gave us the energy we needed for the duration of the hike (without upsetting a sensitive stomach), and we were grateful for the warmth and thoughtful care that went into its preparation.
Well done, HH. We will be back.

My wife, two kids (10 and 13) stayed 3 nights in Hillside 2 July, 2020. The location is a convenient home base to numerous hiking, boating, and sight seeing adventures, particularly Red Rocks and Golden. The property is located along Bear Creek and is extremely quiet. Hillside 2 has a private indoor hot tub, two bedrooms (each with a King), living room, bathroom, and wet bar with microwave, fridge, coffee maker, plates, silverware, etc. During COVID they provide a different breakfast box each morning with a breakfast sandwich or burrito, pastry, and fruit. The food was really good. The staff goes out of their way to provide excellent service. The multitude of good reviews tell the story. Highly recommended.

Highland Haven Creekside is an amazing getaway. Gail (owner) and staff are so kind and have literally thought of every detail. Nestled in the city of Evergreen next to a beautiful creek, you will feel as though you are secluded from the world while only being a few walkable blocks to the town and lake. The property is full
Of beautiful pine trees and well positioned seating to enjoy the view of the mountains or listen to the running creek.

Highlands Haven Creekside is an upscale and intimate experience. We have stayed in about half of the cabins on the property. Everyone of the cabins are uniquely different but always given the same wonderful attention to every detail. The mountain decor is elegant, intimate lighting, comfortable bed and relaxing fireplace. Several of the cabins have whirlpool tubs which are modern and beautiful. We enjoy that they provide a small refrigerator, microwave, and way to have morning coffee. One of the few places we feel safe traveling during the covid virus due to the attention they have given every cabin in cleanliness.

In addition to the warm and inviting mountain scenery, they provide an amazing breakfast. Prior to covid, they offered a full service buffet breakfast that was absolutely delicious. In recent months they have delivered breakfast boxes to guests that have been equally delicious and thoughtfully presented. We just can’t say enough wonderfully things about the service we have felt and the extraordinary attention to detail to make your stay feel intimate and pleasurable.

Gail and all of the amazing staff are so accommodating to your every need. Every time we pull into the property for our stay we are excited to be greeted by familiar faces.

Thanks to you all. Wendy & Kim

Spectacular quiet setting yet close to all of Colorados splendor. Staff and accommodations just perfect. Helpful and attentive if needed, and unnoticed if you want privacy. Loved everything about our stay. I was treating my Son to a "bucket list" first time visit to nearby Red Rocks Amphitheater to see 2 shows by Dead and Company. The bungalow 8 was luckily available in this often fully sold out small but beautiful and simple yet luxurious property. It was fairly priced, had two separate comfortable bedrooms and a wonderful living room and kitchen. The modern flat screen TV was never turned on once. There's no. Ed on such a beautiful property.

When I had forgotten my vaccine card required for concert admission, within minutes, with a little guidance, the expert staff found it in my briefcase, texted me a photo and saved me from a 40 minute drive and missing the start of these epic first time Dead at Red Rocks shows.

In between our two musical nights we enjoyed the delicious, delivered to our room breakfasts before hiking any number of the magnificent trails nearby.

We hiked the wonderful Morrison Slide trail with great views of Red Rocks and the surrounding mountains.

After a great 2.5 hr moderate hike it was time to enjoy our earned reward of Beaujolais pizza.. Unfortunately the Evergreen Beaujos pizza just walking distance (amazing pizza not to be missed whenever in Colorado) was closed likely due to a combo of in between seasons and covid employment issues. So we drove to the nearby Ardville location for two mountain pizzas. One for immediate consumption and the other to be put in our very useful room fridge for after the show.

We chose to eat the first pie on the Rock next to the bridge and beautiful delightful clear stream running by the front of Highland Havens front. A perfect spot in the setting sunshine. My Son and I basked in the sun's final rays of the day downing delicious pizza, sharing a beer and talking about how lucky we were to be there, the fun of the previous show, the anticipation of the show to come and life in general.

Highland Haven like the sometimes overlooked, forgotten conductor of a great symphony, was quietly the piece de resistance that seamlessly facilitated an amazing trip the two of us will never forget. We cannot wait to return next summer with our entire family. Thank you HHC!!!

We are so happy we found this incredible spot. It is only 45 mins from our house in Denver yet far removed from the craziness of the city. The grounds are beautiful nestled on the bank of Bear Creek tucked in the woods of Evergreen CO but yet walking distance from town. The staff is so friendly and makes you feel welcome from the moment you step inside. The rooms are cozy well appointed and among their 18 accommodations one should be able to find a room for every need or want. Some have fireplaces, big tubs, balconies or two bedrooms. The breakfast is delicious with a full on buffet with lots of home made goodies. There is also an afternoon Happy Hour. My husband and I cannot wait to return. We know we will be made to feel special, and will have a most relaxing peaceful experience. Highly recommend this magical place.

Highland haven is an adorable retreat in Evergreen! The rooms are each unique! We had 4 different rooms in our group. We had 3 2 bedrooms, one was a full cottage with a fireplace, and 1 studio. They are cozy and clean with very comfortable beds. It's nice to have an outside sitting area near your room, which 3 of the the 4 rooms had. There's also chairs and umbrellas along the creek for a relaxing place to read. Breakfast delivered to your room is a wonderful bonus! The staff was very helpful and very friendly. Cookies and lemonade in the afternoon are also a nice touch. My only suggestion is that once you use the provided plates, utensils, etc for your breakfast that you need to let them know to replace them, or get them yourselves if you do not ask for room service, which we did not. We were not sure how to get new ones and our room did not have a kitchen sink like the other 3 rooms did, who could clean the dishes. Overall it was a great stay and everyone from the brand children to the grandparents enjoyed it!

Based on what we'd heard about this place from friends, we decided to celebrate our anniversary here. Not disappointed at all!

It's an older property, current owners have had it for over 40 years, but don't let the age of the place dissuade you - they've done a brilliant job of keeping it updated. All the fixtures in our cabin were new and beautiful. The cabin was spotlessly clean and very comfortable.

They warmly welcomed our two pups and charged only a very reasonable pet fee. The staff are responsive and gracious, the breakfast is light but delicious. The property is extremely well-kept with beautiful old trees and lots of resident wildlife.

We will definitely visit the Highland Haven again!

We’ve stayed there twice - once just before COVID and once during. Procedures changed as expected for the most recent stay and they did a good job trying to provide the same or similar services within safety guidelines. Kudos for that. We stayed in the unique Tree House both times and loved it. The main level is very comfortable and the small kitchenette is perfect for preparing small meals. The bench seating in the steam shower is quite small, so it’s really only good for one person at a time. The champagne tub on the top level is very nice as part of a relaxing/romantic evening. It’s quite pricy to stay there, but we plan to stay there again for upcoming special occasions.

Absolutely storybook. Beautiful place kept immaculately by beautiful people. The amazing staff was welcoming as one would hope for in the hospitality industry. Sometimes you find a spot that just does more. You step inside the office or your room and you know it was thoroughly & responsibly cleaned and cared for by people who love what they do.
The complimentary breakfast was delicious, healthy, and filling. So much so I had a bit to take hiking with me later as a snack.
The ladies listened to and answered all my questions about places to visit making lovely recommendations perfect and just challenging enough for my skill set. They printed directions and gave great tips before sending me confidently off on my solo journey.
I will definitely be back to Highland Haven, but maybe next time with some friends with which to share the adventure. Maybe not, as getting away to enjoy being alone with nature and visiting places like Evergreen was just what I needed to refill my cup.

Yes, Highland Haven has quite a range of accommodations and room configurations ranging from traditional hotel rooms to stand-alone cabins. Many have two beds and/or two bedrooms. Each specific room/cabin is described in detail on HH's website. Or, you could always just call directly and see if they have what you're looking for on the date(s) you want.

Hi! It's so hard to know what our snowfall will look like in January, we've only had one substantial snow this winter and it was last week (much later than usual). Being at a lower elevation our snow melts quicker after a storm but being in the foothills we do get accumulation in shady spots. Our snowiest month is March. Hope that helps with your travel plans!

Hi, Our Evergreen Suite, Fireside Loft, and Hillside Cottages are our largest rooms and have a max capacity of 4 adults. The best option for a group like yours would be to book both of the Hillside Cottages or the Evergreen Suite plus a neighboring Guest Room. The TreeHouse is has a max capacity of 2 - it's designed for romantic getaways for couples. Please let us know if we can answer any other questions. Thank you, Allison HH Staff
