Conveniently located just off the highway with clean, spacious rooms (some with balconies) in a beautiful setting. Free breakfast was a bonus with hot eggs and sausage in addition to the usual offerings. Plenty of free parking. The staff was friendly and attentive. The only reason I didn't give a perfect score was housekeeping. We were told when we checked in that housekeeping would automatically come every three days; we were there for seven days and never received any housekeeping services. We were able to get clean towels from the front desk and when we told them housekeeping hadn't come, they assured us they would put us on the schedule. We still never received any sort of housekeeping. (FYI: There was no "Do Not Disturb" sign so it wasn't that.)

This is a great hotel in Evergreen just off of I-70. Stayed 4 nights in the 1 King Bed, 1 Room Suite, 2-Person Whirlpool for a vacation to Colorado and had a comfortable stay.
Pros: - Convenient location right off I-70. Within 20-30 minutes of Denver area. Within 2 hours or less of most areas in the Rocky Mountain region of Colorado. Just a short drive from a Wal-Mart Supercenter and 24-hour gas station. - Room was great. Clean, comfortable and updated with plenty of towels. The room featured a microwave, fridge, coffee maker, desk, electronic fireplace. Jacuzzi bath was fantastic. Room also featured a separate shower. - Housekeeping is only done per request but on the third day in my room they went ahead and cleaned without me asking or requesting it which was a pleasant surprise. - If not busy and nice weather the breakfast area features a nice outdoor seating area to go along with the indoor seating. - The room was quiet. The first night I was there they had two wedding parties at the hotel with almost no vacancy. Was concerned about it being loud at night however I didn't hear anyone else at all the entire time during my stay.
Cons: - Breakfast was subpar with limited options. Pleasant staff but not the best breakfast I've ever had in a hotel. - Parking wasn't the best. Plenty of parking for guests even when full but it is mostly located at the front and west sides of the hotel. If you are in a room on the east side be prepared to walk a ways to get to the room.
Overall: 4.5/5 and would stay here again during another visit to Colorado.

I would suggest that they put a sign down at the bottom of the hill to point you to the hotel as your GPS tells you that you have arrived at your destination when you are at the restaurant at the bottom of the hill. We didn't even see the hotel. We barely saw the driveway going up to the hotel. I thought the GPS had made a mistake. Jacob, our check in person, was fantastic. Very friendly and personable. Answered all our questions, informed us of everything the hotel offered. The rooms had a small fridge and micro. Bed comfortable but pillows much too big! :-) I like the fact that the sink is separate from the bathroom as that allows you to brush your teeth while the other is in the shower.

We booked in May/June for our Oct stay, part of a wedding block. We had wanted to be there just one night so that we could spend a longer time with our son who lives in Colorado. They required nights for the wedding block, so we went along with that, leaving our son earlier than we wanted to. They then reached out on the Thursday afternoon, letting us know that “somehow” they were overbooked so we would need to go to a different hotel which they had selected and would pay for. Yes, they paid for that night, but they even booted the bride and groom and were very passive, shrugging it off: “these things happen.” They seemed to feel that by ensuring that we were not literally without a place to stay on Friday night, they were covering their responsibility. But when you book a hotel room, you usually expect to be able to have access, not just to a bed at night, but also a place to stay during the day and to hang up your clothes and otherwise do the things that you do to get ready for a wedding.
It’s not as though this was the biggest crisis ever, but their way of handling it was very frustrating with lots of passive language. Like, “somehow we were overbooked” — and when I submitted the review that their hotel chain sent out, the response I got from the manager was an apology that “we didn’t exceed your expectations.” I couldn’t help it and I responded: it’s not that they didn’t exceed my expectations, they did not even meet my basic expectation that when I book a room in advance, it will be available to me. I don’t think that’s asking too much.

The hotel is easy access from I-70. Our room (332) was facing the expressway and it was a bit noisy. We did have a nice view of the mountains from the room. The bathroom and flooring had been recently redone. Enjoyed the spacious seating area and the comfortable bed and pillows. Housekeeping has to be requested by 11 am each day to have the room cleaned up and have fresh towels. The breakfast had hot food plus muffins, bagels, oatmeal, and juices. WiFi worked well throughout the stay. The pool was nice; two hot tubs - one can have about 4 people in it and the other about 3 people (outdoors). The El Rancho restaurant next door has very good food and service. Downtown Evergreen is about 10 minutes away with additional restaurants. Hiking areas easily accessible also. Would recommend staying here.

We stayed here 4 nights for a wedding and the stay was great. I requested a balcony room with views of the trees and the room they put us in was perfect. Room 312 has a great balcony with trees right by the balcony. You can hear the traffic from the road behind the hotel and from I70, but for the convenience of the location, we really enjoyed it and will be back. The beds were comfortable and there was ample space in the room for all our stuff and items for the wedding. There was always carts in the lobby, which was a bonus for us with taking wedding stuff up and down. Check in was a breeze and the front desk staff was always helpful and friendly. We did stop by the front desk to request housekeeping service for Kleenex, TP and trash pickup, unfortunately that did not happen and we had to stop at the front desk to pick up more Kleenex and TP. Even with that little hiccup, the stay was great and it will be our go to hotel when we come back to visit family in Golden.

We stayed at this hotel for six nights with multiple family member as our son got married at a nearby venue. Our room was large with a nice balcony and view. The bed was comfortable. The breakfast was acceptable. What really stood out to me was how friendly and helpful the hotel staff were. They made sure each guest in our party received their welcome bags which we provided, they decorated the newlywed's room with some items we provided, and they answered all questions and helped in any way we needed. I would especially like to thank Holly at the front desk for all of her kindness, patience, and help throughout our stay.

I like to travel to Denver Friday nights for weekend ski trips. My go-to is Origin Red Rocks which is just in the foothills and is a nice property with a cool vibe. Saw this place and thought I would give it a shot as its farther up the mountain, however, could not make my flight to Denver. I asked them to move my reservation out a week, not even refund, just move it to the following week. They declined and charged me for a night's stay even though they had availability the next week. I am pretty forgiving of hospitality companies in general, it's a tough business, and I could understand if it were peak season and revenue would genuinely be lost during a critical time, but that wasn't the case here as it wasn't peak season. It's just a jerk-move by the property and earns a well-deserved one star review. If I can help someone else avoid the same fate, all the better. I love Origin Red Rock, only 10 minutes down the mountain and even in the worst Denver snow storms easy to get to. And if you can't make it, they've been cool about it in the past.

We can be flexible on this under specific conditions, such as illness, weather that prevents travel, whether the reservation was booked directly or through a third party, and so on. Third-party reservations cost the hotel, and while the booking source (such as Booking.com) does not disclose this, hotels are required to forfeit a specific portion of the entire reservation value. Because your reasons for canceling at the last minute did not meet the criteria for a no penalty cancellation, we were unable to cancel your reservation without incurring monetary loss. Additionally, the hotel was nearly full when you called to cancel on the evening of your arrival. We’re pleased that you chose to book a different date. However, when you arrived, your behavior was a bit aggressive with our front desk agent. While we welcome you as our guest, we ask that you respect our policies and the personnel who are there to greet you and make sure you're comfortable. We appreciate your business and we hope that you enjoyed your stay with us. The hotel is easy to get to from I-70 and is just a short walk to the El Rancho Brewery!
Check-in was efficient and the staff was very nice. Our room was a suite style which had two large beds, a sitting area with a small fold out couch and chair, and two TVs. Very nice room. Also had a fridge, microwave and coffee maker. Breakfast included good coffee, breakfast sandwichs that you microwave, fruit, cereal, etc. The breakfast area was nice.
My lovely wife’s comment was that we were charged $2 for the use of the in-room safe, which we didn’t use. The front desk told my wife this was a mandatory charge whether or not you use the safe. My wife said the additional mandatory charge was not disclosed in the reservation information.

I used to stay here for work. i was coming through with my wife and my dog. it was a good stop and the room was excellent. The service is always exceptional and the breakfast has improved away from the covid style packaged foods. I would stay here any time I come through. ... it books up often and sometimes is more pricey than i want to spend. I always check this when i book.
One of the best comfort inns i have ever stay in (i am a Choice Diamond by the way.... i have stayed in my share of these)
