I booked this room several months in advance, and asked for a king bed room on the top floor. When we arrived, Emma gave us a 2 Queen bed, and said that they did not have King beds on top floor, and there were no king rooms left, but we should have been given the option of a king bed or top floor. The room was clean, had a microwave and fridge, coffeemaker, large vanity outside the bathroom, clean linens and towels, nice amenities. Cons - we did not get a king bed room - The showerhead was fixed and water shot straight out, I couldn't reach the handles without getting my hair wet. Breakfast was average, with Fresh Waffles, fresh fruit, Boiled Eggs, Pastries, Cereals, yogurts, Juices, and coffee - No bread for toast.

Hotel's Favorite
This is an older motel that has been kept up quite well. We were able to park right outside of our room. The room was very clean and had all of the amenities that one would expect from a much more expensive place. It had a very large walk-in closet. This is one of the more economical motels in Durango, and it's well worth it. Breakfast was simple - waffles and bisquits with gravy, and cereals. I would definitely stay here again rather than pay $300 for another place.

We stayed here one night. The person who checked us in was very nice and welcoming. The room was clean. Bed was comfortable. Breakfast was a bit disappointing. There was cereal, prepackaged muffins and that was about it. I would stay here again and just forget breakfast.

This was a real experience on our great parks road trip A proper US motel for better and worse The room however was very clean and most things worked (Wi-Fi a bit slow) but no safe Not really near anywhere but we walked 15 minutes into town and had a wonderful Mexican meal and drinks. Ground floor room with no net curtains, right next to the I’ve machine was a challenge Ok for 1 night and I’m glad we experienced it , would we come again ? Probably not .

Clean, comfortable room. I stopped here after spending a day at Mesa Verde. The bed was comfortable. There was a hot tub but I didn't get a chance to try it. Breakfast was good, I forgot to take a picture of it!

We are 50 something school teachers. When we travel we like to use our hotel as a "home base" from which to launch our adventures( we don't do more than sleep at the hotel) For this purpose the Econolodge was perfect. The hotel is located within walking distance of the city abs and the animas trail .Our room was clean, the bed was hotel quality, the AC worked great and the bathroom was well appointed with good Water pressure. We thought breakfast was better than expected with a hot option every day. We also had the best cup of coffee we had in Colorado The staff was helpful and professional our room was cleaned every night. If we were to return to Durango we would certainly stay there again

The price was right. The room was nice. But then the manager went above and beyond when my motorcycle wouldn't start in the morning. He rolled out his own tool box and helped me get it running. He even gave me a few tools to fix it if it went out again before I could get the right part. Above and beyond! Will gladly stay here again!

Everything was great, except that the room I was in had an adjoining door to the room next to it. I could hear every word of their conversations, and even tell what they were watching on TV. Fortunately, they went to be about the same time I did so overnight it was not a factor. The hot tub is close to the highway, which is a little odd, but it is secluded behind a privacy fence. At least the hot tub was functional, which seemed to be a big issue in CO in 2022.

From the minute we came into the lobby to check in, we were impressed with this Econo Lodge. The manager greeted us and was super friendly. He even had a sign welcoming us as Diamond Privileges Members. When we got to the room, we were pleased to find it sparkling clean. No detail was missed. It had everything that we needed. We will definitely stay here again and highly recommend it!
