We’re a small mom and pop motel that has been given renewed life. No, we’re not new, we are however welcoming and personable with new comfy beds, pillows and soft silky linens. We offer exceptional free WI-FI, cable, heat/AC, microwaves, and mini-fridges in every room. We offer tea and freshly ground and brewed Durango Joe's coffee all day. In the lobby we offer a free light continental breakfast every morning from 7 am - 9 am consisting of fresh fruit, toast-able items, dry cereals, oatmeal and hard-boiled eggs. We are located on the quiet North end of Durango close to the San Juan National forest, Purgatory Ski Resort, nearby hiking/biking trails. Our friendly and courteous staff are more than happy to make recommendations for family adventures or local dining favorites. Our hope is you'll take home treasured memories of Southwest Colorado! *No pets allowed. ADA Certified Service Animals specifically trained to aid a person with a disability are welcome.*

How nice, thank you! We were more than happy to help you and your lovely wife. It's not fun being sick and away from the comforts of home and kindness and understanding goes a long way to alleviate those stressors. We do consider our co-workers family they are good-hearted people that take great pride in delivering our guests a quality stay. We're more than happy helping make suggestions for dinner or fun places to visit with the hope that you will refer us to others. So thank you very much for the kind review and letting other travelers know how your experience here went... we sincerely appreciate it. Should your travels bring you back to southwest Colorado we hope to see you both again (hopefully no sicknesses- knock on wood). Our best to you and safe travels friends!

Very impressed with this hotel. It's not a fancy place but it had everything we needed, clean, well equipped, comfortable rooms and a simple but high quality breakfast. What really made this special though was the people who look after the place. Everyone we met, Joe, Jordan and

We wholeheartedly agree with you- our crew is absolutely phenomenal!! They're good people with great big hearts that take great pride in what they do. We do things a little differently here we foster a family-oriented work environment. We take care of each other, a working family and a pretty tightly knit group. The owners (Nigel and Tammy) left their corporate jobs where 'people' didn't matter and were disposable entities. We swore to ourselves as we undertook this endeavor that we'd never forget where we came from and vowed to never, ever treat any of our co-workers as anything less than the valuable souls that they are. We are different and we like that fact. Our staff care that guests have a clean inviting room and take home treasured memories. We all represent this small town in a lasting way- we want to do you, our guest, right by choosing us to stay with. For a brief moment in time, we're town ambassadors shining a little light onto a fabulous place in Colorado. Again we thank you for your kind review and encouragement. We look forward to seeing you again one day, until then safe travels to you friend!

Nice! We appreciate your choice in staying here with us, it sounds like we and our crew are doing a good job. We're so glad you had a good time, Durango has so much to offer travelers. With over 148 restaurants, several breweries, rich historic sites nearby like Mesa Verde, gorgeous galleries, fabulous vistas and much, much more. For the outdoor adventurer- we're near Purgatory Ski resort, stellar hiking and mountain biking trails, river rafting, D&SNG train, excellent fly fishing, zip-lining... the possibilities are endless. Tell us what you would like to see or do we're more than happy to help you find what you like. It was a pleasure to host your stay, delightful to speak with you and we truly hope to see you again our friend. Until next time safe travels and treasured memories to you!

How awesome- thank you! We appreciate the kind words of encouragement and hearing (seeing) that we are doing a good job for our guests! There are a lot of options for accommodations in Durango but our goal is to do budget better than everyone else. We're small but concentrate on being personable, clean, comfortable and affordable. We don't have amenities like a pool or hot tub- but we can guide you to locations where these are available. We truly enjoy helping travelers find what their hearts desire in a vacation; beautiful vistas to hike or powder for an incredible ski adventure to the out of the ordinary adventures like the DSNGRR train, dog sledding, zip-lining or a soothing hot spring. Ask us, we're more than happy to give visual tours on the lobby big screen TV! Thanks again we look forward to seeing you next time. FYI- the mountains are stunning in May when the mountain flowers are blooming and Fall Aspen colors are beyond compare. Safe travels to you our friend!

Thank you for choosing us to stay with! We have made a lot of changes to the place since buying it March 2016. We employ a wonderful group of dedicated people that put a lot of love and care into what we do here. We and our stellar staff are the demolition, remodel, cleaning and greeting crew... we do it all. Thanks again for the kind words of encouragement and patronage. Until the next time.

Can you walk to downtown Durango?
Yes, downtown proper is 2.2 miles south of us. There is also the Durango Trolley that runs from 7am to 830pm there is a pickup 1 block south that picks up every 30 minutes. The Trolley is $.50 for those 60+ and $1.00 under 60 yr old. A great option vs the parking meters downtown.
