Cozy, well appointed, modern and clean modular cabins....but no AIR CONDITIONING! Fans were provided but in the late afternoon, it still gets hot. Also, when we were there in September, there was no staff and no food or bar service after about 4:00pm and ..BIG SURPRISE...they have signs posted all over the area that NO ALCOHOL allowed in your cabin. Plus, there's always noise from the nearby freeway and you'll need the windows open so....I'd have to say..all of that would have prevented me from booking this place had I known. Regardless, its clean and modern.

We originally booked a yurt in February but couldn’t make it up there due to bad weather and snow. I asked if we could have a credit for future and they offered a credit until summer, amazing! So we just went for the weekend and had a great time. The yurt was clean, the bathrooms and showers were clean, beds were comfy. Kids had a blast just wondering the area around the yurt.
We took a rafting trip which was excellent. Our guide, Hayden, did a really great job especially as we had younger kids. All the staff were friendly and everyone had masks on.
Traffic noise definitely considerable but we got used to it and knew that we’d get that just by knowing the location.
Thanks for a great stay!

We did the beginner water rafting trip a loved it. Every single staff member we interacted with was friendly and helpful, and they actually got us started on the trip early. Our guide Jason was great - friendly, skilled, and gave very clear directions (very important on a rafting trip!). Our whole family had a great time.

I am not easily impressed, and it takes a lot for me to give 5 stars but this group earned every star and more!! Booking our rafting trip was very easy and simple. I had seen their location driving to and from our Mtn home and have wanted to get them a try. Gave them a call, and they got us in the next day. Sam was a pleasure to work with. Our raft guide Charlie is top notch, the best! Filled with excitement and fun the entire trip. The children are already begging to go back, and want to try their zip line on the next visit. This is a must do on your visit to the Colorado high country.
Thank you team for the amazing experience!! See you soon.

Awesome time spent at Lawsons. We rented a yurt and took the rafting ride. The yurt was clean, comfortable and fun. The skylight made a good view of the stars at night. Restroom and shower areas were just as clean!

One stop shop from snacks, drinks, chicken sandwich and hamburger offered by their food truck on site.
This provided us to hang out there, enjoy the breeze and mountain views. A few chipmunks were in the area but nothing more thrilling.

All staff was welcoming, knowledgeable and friendly. Neil, bartender and guides Andrew and Pat are great guys.

Pat was our guide that ended any fear for beginners. He maneuvered that raft like a pro that he is! It was exciting with adrenaline pumping, cold water and one ready to conquer that ride. Great instructional advise from Pat made it all happen. Definitely enjoyed. Totally recommend. We will definately return !!

We were really looking forward to staying here. We paid attention to the rules to not bring outside alcohol and made sure to look and see that the on site restaurant would be open for us. Its hours noted that it would be. We were looking forward to sitting outside, enjoying the food and drinks, and disconnecting. We came to find that it was closed without any note saying why. We found someone who worked on the property and asked about it and he told us that person had called in sick. We didn't bring any food or drinks since we were told there was a restaurant on the property, so we ended up having to leave our dog and drive 15 mins out of town to get dinner. This definitely was not the escape we were looking for.

Very nice cabin. Everything you need. We brought a twin air mattress as our Boys don't like sharing a bed. It fit perfectly with futon in closed position, futon made lots of noise when you moved though. Love that there are no shared walls.
Entrance was opposite side of parking, no lights to see where you were walking at night, and there was no pavement. Luckily most cell phones have flashlights.
Heater was sufficient. It was single digit Temps in the day when we were there, lower at night, noone was cold.
50 min drive from Breckenridge. Not too many places close by to eat. 1/2 the price or less than Silverthorne, Dillon and Frisco. Worth the drive for the savings.
Will stay again.

We had a large group in the yurts in winter and snow. And I have to say not only were the Yurts war there was outside stations to warm up. From a bond fire and propane fire pits. The whole area was perfect for our needs, places where we can socialize and other to be alone. Wild life is in the area so be watching your kids but with this place so close to the main roads it makes getting their simple and safe in winter.

We had an incredible time rafting with Lawson Adventures. Our guide Isaiah was phenomenal. The scenery was breathtaking! He was patient and concerned. He was able help us navigate the rapids, so that we all stayed in the boat. This is not an easy trip, as many of the rapids were class V. Our group ranged in age from 17-58. We all had a great time.

My daughter and I stayed one night with our Aussie in one of the cabins. This worked out so perfectly as we planned to hike up on Berthoud Pass the next morning. The kitchen is charming, and the sofa was our relaxing place to watch a movie while we had dinner. It is very clean with lots of windows for sunshine and fresh air! All of the cabins have private decks on the back side with access to a little trail to walk the dog. The staff is super friendly and helpful!

We ha e a dog. Would we be able to leave her in cabin alone?
Answer from Greg B
Hi, you are able to leave the dog in the cabin, only if it is crated. If there were any damages from the dog being left out by themselves would incur an additional damages fee.

Are the toilets compost toilets? Do the cabins have air conditioning?
Answer from Greg B
As stated below, we do have normal flushing toilets in all cabins and the bath house, we also have showers in the bath house. However, we do not have air conditioning right now, we have heat for the winter months. We do plan on adding a/c by the summer months.
