Detailed Reviews
Swan Mountain Resort was a nice find in Dillon, CO. We looked for a place closer to a resort, but none to be found. This location is only 2 miles from Keystone resort and I was able to drive to Vail in around 30 min. They provided a lot of thoughtful amenities we haven't found in most places. In addition to salt & pepper and coffee filters, there was foil, cooking spray, hot chocolate mix, and popcorn. They provided fire starters and a Duraflame log for the wood burning fireplace, along with access to a huge woodpile. There was a carport for each unit, which was nice since it snowed a couple of nights we were there. Actually, we stayed twice. We had a two-bedroom which was the same floorplan as the one-bedroom only with a loft. Both were very spacious for a one-bedroom ski unit. A nice little find. There's not much close by however. We did find a bar/restaurant that was good, but with COVID times, it wasn't easy to get a table there. We cooked in most nights. We'll probably try to stay there again next year.

Furniture in our unit needs to be updated replaced but the overall resort and unit had everything we needed. They even supply paper napkins in the kitchen - have never seen those anywhere else in the many exchanges I have done over the years. And the dining table was fully set when we arrived too - looked nice! No elevator. We were on the 3rd floor and climbing those stairs with the thin air and heavy ski gear wasn't easy. Also didn't like the "cleaning fee" that we were charged.

Thank you for taking the time to submit a review on our behalf. We usually replace furniture in the spring but I will make sure we take a look at the furniture in your unit to see if we can replace it earlier....thank you for letting us know! I'm happy to hear that you liked the amount of supplies and the table setting in the unit! Our Resort is at 9400 feet so the elevation and stairs can certainly be an issue. Next time you stay please call the Resort prior to your arrival and, based on availability, we we try to move your reservation to a lower floor. You should have been informed by RCI at the time of your booking that there is a cleaning fee for any stay less than seven nights. We work hard to make our guests happy and appreciate your feedback! I will be sure to share your feedback with the entire team. Please come back to see us again soon!

We traded our 2 bedroom timeshare, The Charter Club of Marco Beach, for a 1 bedroom, nine night stay at Swan Mountain Resort. We ended up adding an extra night and arrived one day earlier. Theo was so nice and helpful at check-in, and Dyanne upgraded us to a spacious, 2 bedroom top floor unit which was such a nice surprise.
The buildings are located in a quiet area that is convenient to the main road that takes you to Keystone, Silverthorne and several ski resorts. The views from our unit were incredible, and we loved the absolute peace and quiet. It was an easy drive to Keystone, which is closest at eight minutes away, Breckenridge, Copper and Vail. There are plenty of shops up the road in Silverthorne.
The kitchen was very well stocked, and it was so great to get a basket full of popcorn, hot chocolate, coffee, napkins...etc. The beds and living room furniture were all very comfortable, and our unit was supplied with firewood and a Duraflame log. There was a carport for the unit, which was really convenient on the days it snowed. There is a nice indoor pool, two hot tubs and small workout area located in the main building.
Overall, the customer service at Swan Mountain was outstanding. They went out of their way to help and accommodate us and would check in to see if there was anything we needed.
We would love to stay here again in the future!

My wife and I chose Swan Mountain Resort for a mid-week getaway in the cool Colorado mountains. Wildflowers were in abundance at several hikes we took within an hour of the resort in Dillon, Colorado. The resort was clean and well maintained, but the finishes in our unit were older in need of some upgrades to current styles. Furniture and bedding were clean and in good condition, small kitchen was adequately equipped for preparing meals in the unit. Facilities in the clubhouse were also well maintained, but we did not use the pool or hot tub on this visit. COVID protocols appeared to be followed and we had no issues in that regard. Overall, a well kept resort in a beautiful mountain location, can't go wrong with that.

We enjoyed the facility at Swan Mountain, it was spacious, well kept, and in very good condition. The staff was friendly and helpful. However, when we checked out, things changed dramatically.... we were charged a $35 "cleaning" fee..
we explained that we are not RCI owners and the policy stated anyway that it was for a 7 day stay. We only stayed 4 days and were not even offered the option of a 7 day stay, and when we left, we basically left the unit it excellent condition from a cleaning standpoint, even starting the dishwasher for the cleaning staff. We protested to the check in staff but were simply told "that's our policy" As I mentioned, we are not RCI owners and it was our understanding that the cleaning fee applied to owners. We simply rented the unit for 4 days through AFVC. We have never had to pay a cleaning fee in the past when staying through AFVC. Obviously we were charged the fee anyway and paid it, but it pretty much ruined what was up to that point a very pleasant stay. Needless to say, we will most likely not stay there again and will warn other veterans about the cleaning fee policy at this facility so they won't be surprised as we were.

With all the flowers surrounding you, it quickly becomes clear this is a well managed Resort that comes with the most helpful and kind people every time you have contact with them. Location is quiet, yet not far from the town center of Dillon and the Lake or Keystone Resort, especially in Winter. Maintenance and cleanliness is superb.

Swan Mountain exceeded my expectations in every way. I knew this was an older resort and relatively smaller than our home resorts, but they have updated and did so beautifully.
The unit I stayed in was very large and really well appointed. Could easily sleep 6-8 people comfortably. The kitchen had everything you’d need including plenty of utensils, a cookbook, and foil and goodies like popcorn and hot cocoa! Such nice little surprises.
All the furnishings and carpets/flooring seemed new. The fireplace was a really lovely treat…even in Aug it got down to the 40s at night and I lit it up and was warm in a matter of minutes without having to turn the heat on. When I arrived in the afternoon it was in the low 80s out and I was worried about no a/c but I opened the windows and within an hour the place cooled down plenty to be comfortable.
I really loved this place. The staff were friendly, kind and helpful! They even helped me up the three flights of stairs with my 70lb suitcase! I was SO grateful!!
It was minutes from Dillon and a few more minutes from Frisco (fantastic little town)! Close driving distance (15-30 mins) to several more well known towns (Breckinridge, Vail, etc.).
I would definitely return to Swan Mountain!

Very nice area. Resort was clean, nice lawn care, nice parking facilities. Pool and Hot Tub very clean and inviting. Love the fact of having in room plenty of coffee for coffee maker, sugar/sugar substitutes, full size salt/pepper shakers. non-stick cooking spray, foil and plenty of dishware/storage containers. The little things that mean a lot while traveling as you cannot bring everything to be comfortable for the stay.

We love coming here! When you get to your room your name is on the door. You go in and everything is right! It is clean, the table is set. There are a lot of dishes and cooking utensils. The living room is large and comfortable with either a gas or wood burning fireplace. Some people will not like the location because nothing is very close, however nothing is far and it is very quiet. The hot tub and pool as well as other amenities are nice.

This was a lovely place to stay! The staff were very friendly and helpful especially Ana, Deanne and Juliann.
There were so many things we liked:
Our name on our door , fresh flowers and a welcome note! The table was set for four, They called to check and see if everything was alright the next day at 11- not too early! The kitchen was fully equipped with a large refrigerator , stove with oven, coffee, tea, whistling tea kettle, spray olive oil, tin foil etc.
We really enjoyed the gas fireplace , and the whole condo was really clean and nicely decorated. There were big windows and lovely views There were 3 full bathrooms (with handrails in one bathroom to aid us older folks!) They had soap pump dispensers instead of bar soap. The sidewalks were shoveled when it snowed. We asked for card table and extra chairs so we could do a puzzle and it was delivered quickly . So many nice little extras!!!
Can’t wait to come back!!

Approximately 9400 feet
Swan Mountain Resort is a smoke-free environment. Smoking is not allowed in the units, on the unit balconies or decks, in the common areas or anywhere within 50 feet of a building.
Hello,
Unfortunately, there is not a shuttle from the resort. There is a county run bus (Summit Stage) which has a stop about 1/2 mile from the resort.
There is trout fishing nearby.
To be honest the water was high when we were there. However I did see people fishing. I think the fishing was good, the catching was unknown. My past experience is that Dillon Res has generally been stock well.
