I visited this place twice in one week. First time got upgraded to Skyline Suite and the second time was a corner room. This hotel is large and clean and the view was gorgeous. Everything was fine but I think it is overall a little out of fashion, especially the bathroom. Another annoying thing is no breakfast was offered. Elite members can only get 1000 points. But I guess it was because of the COVID-19. I think at least grab-and-go breakfast should be offered to Elite members like many other hotels did.

Overall a good experience with one hiccup. First, not really the hotel as the valet is a vendor... super friendly staff. Your vehicle is in good hands. This Westin aborted a lobby remodel but the staff is still in temporary quarters in the lower lobby. A Motel 6 is more welcoming. As a Bonvoy Platinum I received an upgrade to the 18th floor. HUGE room, largest I’ve ever had in downtown Denver. Not a suite, but a fantastic view. Furnishings were good and the bed was very comfortable. Also a huge bathroom with quality toiletries. Large TV also. It’s Covid times, so it’s worth mentioning that the room was very clean and a few wipes were left for guest use. My hiccup... the battery died on my door key swipe. I was stuck in the hall in my socks for about 20 minutes before I finally got into my room. 45 minutes later a new battery was installed. I was offered a $25 food and beverage credit... the kicker is that the hotel has no food and beverage. I asked for points instead, I still don’t see them posted. Stopped by the pool to take a skyline photo. Nice indoor and outdoor pool area, with a large sitting area, and a nice view of the skyline and mountains. First time here. I’d return. But it’s starting to be time that full service hotels actually offer full service.

They were rude at check in, would't let me speak or provide my dogs paperwork. They charged me $50. The next two nights i stayed at the Grand Hyatt where they did not charge me for my dog and they brought her a dog bed and water bowl.

I’m not sure how we haven’t stayed here before! The location is phenomenal - easy walk to Larimer (my favorite) or 16th street mall, as well as the arts district. Easy Uber or bike cab ride over to the Rockies district. It got off to a little bit of a rough start when Thomas refused to address me personally or look me in the eye at check in, because the reservation was in Mike’s name. Even after making him show his ID, he still would only talk to him. Infuriating. We have experienced this a few times at Westins since the merge. (Side note: this brings me to the SPG merge - while I love the additional options it has afforded us,there are still subtle differences in the customer service. Across the board I’ve felt more distrust for the customer from Westin employees.) After the minor hiccup at check in everything was truly wonderful. The customer service was exemplary (thank you Chase at the front desk and James at the pool for going above and beyond!) The rooftop pool has amazing views of the mountains and Broncos stadium. One of a kind here in Denver! It is an older building which is to be expected given its location. The walls are paper thin - bring earplugs and ask for a room away from the elevators (they are noisy.) It was a record hundred degree heatwave during our stay and the air conditioning handled it like a pro (and silently!) The shower has the famous rain shower head. You do have to use your key in the elevators - again - it’s a prime downtown location. The rooms are wonderful and beds comfy. We will be back.

This Weston is by far not the pride of the Westin fleet. The hotel is old in the rooms are very 1980s. The rooms are repaired not renovated. Holes in the walls are patched. The pool is nice and the water temperature is kept warm. Hotel staff were mostly complying with all of the covid-19 procedures. But three days without any housekeeping leaves the room in kind of a mess. I recommend you search for another hotel unless this Weston is the last thing left in Denver.
