I live in Denver now but occasionally like to stay downtown and when I do, Victor, Jonathon, Kris, and the rest of the team make my stay feel comfortable and hassle-free. I can sometimes be a slightly higher maintenance guest and they always take it in stride. While occasionally short staffed it seems, the individuals (especially mentioned above) working really take care and pride in their positions at the Warwick. While the actual hotel has seen better days in some respects, (needs some renovations and updates) it still maintains it's charm and history for me which I personally appreciate and enjoy. I have been staying at the Warwick since I moved to Colorado 12 years ago ( 9 of which were spent living in the mountains) and I continually come back because of the awesome location, rooftop pool, large balconys and rooms, and quiet yet welcoming atmosphere...... Not for the meticulous or hypercritical traveler maybe, but an awesome place to stay for a fun, easygoing person or people to get away and have a great stay and experience.

WILL NEVER STAY HERE AGAIN, HERES WHY: My boyfriend and I stayed at this hotel in September 2022. We booked the executive suite because we both had to work for some of the time. There was no soap or wash clothes in the bathroom. The balcony was dirty. There was no mini bar items. The pool bar was falsely advertised and NOT open when it said it would be (part of the reason we stayed there). The pool was dirty and the tiles were lose. The pictures online were well lite and the rooms were cleaned for the pictures- they look nothing like the real thing. The place needs a good cleaning. Staff was extremely rude. The amenities we paid extra for in the "executive suite" were not even there. I ended up being charged $100 for eating everything from the mini-bar, except there was nothing in the mini-bar when we arrived. Either it must not have been restocked or they are just trying to get our money. I immediately called and they refunded me after a brief argument. WILL NEVER STAY HERE AGAIN.

I was (admittedly) kind of a high maintenance guest and the staff couldn't have been kinder or easier to work with. I liked the rooms and the location, too. I thought the bed was above average and the a/c cranked well. I used valet but there was also plenty of garage options and street parking.

I stayed at the Warwick Denver in July of 2022 with my two adult daughters. THE GOOD: The hotel itself is in a great location and has a beautiful rooftop pool with a bar. The bar staff were excellent. Our room and the bathroom were large. We appreciated the fact that the hotel was very quiet. THE BAD: This hotel needs renovation. The shower had mold and the carpet in the room had a LOT of stains. Maintenance failed to take care of 2 requests we submitted to the front desk on day 1. Those issues remained when we checked out after day 3. Maid service was impossible. We followed all guidelines with respect to requesting maid service to replace towels and empty trash. However, it took 5 phone calls to the front desk and a discussion with the hotel manager before we received anything. We repeatedly requested an extra blanket and it never arrived during our 3 night stay. I understand that everyone has staffing issues but this was over the top poor service.

This hotel was a disappointment. The afternoon front desk staff were apathetic and weak on service. The bathroom tub would not drain and the fixtures were rusty. The doors closed loudly and the hotel was noisy well after midnight making it difficult to sleep. There is an encampment of homeless camped out on the street behind the hotel. You could see them regularly doing drugs in their tents. I won’t be staying there again.

Front desk was not very engaging and helpful. Parking on street was encouraged only to find out that every car out front was covered with feces from a flock of crows nesting next to the hotel. Cost us a lot to have the car washed. The room was nothing special at all. The bathroom was specious but not very clean. Just a lack of vitality to the hotel

Our stay was pretty good, not spectacular, but pretty good. Our room did have what looked like a dog poop stain on the carpet, and there was also gum on the carpet. Besides those 2 things, the room was clean. What was kind of annoying was that towards the end of our stay, we ran out of tissues and the front desk had none, but they said they would bring some up to us. For the next 2 days no tissues ever came and then it was time to check out anyway. Our hallway looked clean, and we saw no issues there. We also found the staff to be friendly. The pool was also clean. Some of the tiles around the pool are loose and do shift under your weight when you walk on them (as others have said), but I didn’t find that to be a big deal. The fitness center was just so-so. One day there were no towels at all. I use a treadmill and they had 3 of them. One of them was dead with an error code, the other one’s belt would occasionally slip while walking on it, but the 3rd one worked fine. It worked out fine for me because there wasn’t too much competition for a treadmill. The assortment of dumb bells looked good. We could not find any eateries outside of the hotel. Other hotels in other parts of the city looked like they did not have that problem. There is a restaurant/bar in the hotel. Next time in Denver I would look to stay elsewhere where there are more restaurants and bars closer by. But if I had to stay here, I would not mind it either.

Thank you for your review. We apologize for the gaps in our service. Please know that we do have planned renovations for the hotel, including carpeting and the pool. The next time you are in our area, try some of the great restaurants up 17th, like Steuben's, or 19th, such as Campfire! Of course, we continue to work on expanding the hours of our fantastic pizza/Italian restaurant, Gattara, as well.

Room had a stench in it from day one! Place needs a good cleaning, and def isn’t a 4 star hotel. Pictures online def do not represent the actual hotel. Rooftop pool looks amazing online, but missing titles all over, slimy and cloudy. Tiles around the pool were loose, and a lady fell the day we were out there. They had to take her out on a stretcher. The worst part of the stay was the house keeping. Requested our room to be freshened up for four days in a row. The front desk kept apologizing, and saying they would have it taken care of right away, and every night we got back it was never taken care of. The only day they came by they threw a bag of towels and a trash bag in the room. Don’t waste your money, no one here seems to care. Def disappointing part of our trip.

I WISH we would have read reviews before booking at the Warwick for a one night stay while passing through Denver. The pictures are VERY deceiving. Parking & getting into the hotel was a nightmare (we avoided Valet because cars were backed up into the street). We pulled into the garage which was completely barred, carried our luggage down flights of stairs (because there wasn’t an elevator or an exit ramp) & worked our way thru gravel alleys surrounded by homeless people in tents just to get into the hotel. We should have turned around right then. We travel a LOT and this property does not even come close to meeting 4 Star Standards. We walked into our room & I had to immediately walk out to our patio - the smell was so terrible I almost threw up. Carpet was filthy. Black mold in the shower & along the baseboards. Vomit or spilled drinks on the patio furniture. We immediately booked elsewhere & walked away - since we booked through a 3rd party, we forfeited the cost for the price of the room but it was worth it to not have to sleep in the nastiness. This is the first review I’ve ever written but I want to make sure other travelers who are used to 4 Star Properties meeting their cleanliness standards do not make the same mistake we did!

Can you give this hotel zero stars? This is not an upscale hotel. Upon arrival you will be greeted by both the unpleasant smell of a musty old apartment building combined with the scowl of a front desk clerk who seems unaware that anything is amiss, including the two plus hour wait time to check in. The hallways are filthy, the carpets in the rooms are stained and the tub doesn’t drain properly so when you shower you are two inches deep in water. The ceiling lights are unfinished adding to the overall “we don’t care” vibe this “hotel” offers. We booked 3 nights but left after 1 to stay at the Sheraton which offers a lower rate and normal hotel amenities like a friendly smile and shampoo and conditioner. Of special note is the peeling paint, rusted hinges, and thin bedding adorning the mattress that is so frail and used that it sags in the middle, rendering guests into the mere filling of this terrible hospitality taco. If you’re looking for an expensive motel dressed up online as a hotel, this is the place for you. But, if like us, you’re looking for a place that has standard hotel amenities and services you will want to look elsewhere. It was so bad, we ended up eating the nonrefundable reservation and actually paid to *not* stay there. Money well spent.
