Whilst we came every year from 2000 - 2016, always stayed in a Royal Suite, always ate at the Palace Arms and loved Brown Palace as a welcome relief from the reason we were in Denver for a few days each year which was medical, we have been here since Sunday (it's now Wednesday) and our Royal Suite is beautiful. That said, service is terrible. No newspaper delivery. Impossible to get In Room Dining to answer the phone. No order form to hang on the door to order breakfast room service. Housekeeping doesn't use clean sheets unless you call and tell them each day you want them and they don't answer the phone so you have to speak with the front desk. We had dinner at the Palace Arms last night and were the only 2 people in the room. One waiter in the room and no busboy. They used to be proud of the ceasar salad that they made at the table. No more.........they make it in the back well in advance and it's second rate. They used to serve prime rib. No more............but they do in another restaurant in the building and our waiter told us he could get us a piece from there and he did...........but it was cold. I WANT TO BELIEVE THAT THEY ARE UNDERSTAFFED BECAUSE OF COVID not because Marriott took over and destroyed the business. That said, I tried to speak with the General Manager (Nick) but couldn't get him on the phone. He is supposed to work from 8:30am - 4:30pm Monday through Friday but I couldn't get him when I tried him on Monday at 9:30am and 4pm. He never called me back and now it's few days later. What kind of General Manager of a hotel in crisis spends so little time attending to business. And, by the way, if you have to pay more to fully staff during a crisis in a service business, why would they not do this. We leave tomorrow and will not be back. A GREAT HOTEL IS BEING DESTROYED. It takes years to build a business like this and it takes no time to destroy it. I HOPE SOMEONE FROM MARRIOTT CORPORATE READS THIS.

This had been an excellent hotel with great amenities, clean rooms, and responsive service. Unfortunately, our last stay would have been better at a Holiday Inn. Filthy bathrooms, torn wallpaper, displaced wall panels, and a stuffy room that would not allow adjustment of the thermostat. Rusted utensils for room service.

The lobby is beautiful and it looks like High Tea is quite the scene if that’s your thing. My biggest disappointment was the room. The room is fine…nothing great but that’s to be expected in an old hotel. Key issues: 1. Lack of hot water. It literally takes 5+ minutes to get hot water (and I was only on the third floor!). I called the front desk as at first I thought they were out of hot water, and the desk seemed surprised to hear that about the water. But I’ve read about it in other reviews and the other three colleagues (all on different floors) had the same issue. One ended up taking a cold shower. How much cold water does this hotel waste waiting for hot water?!? 2. Temperature control. Regardless of turning down my thermostat, the heat continued to crank out. The temp was 75 and I had it set at 68, and hear wouldn’t shut off. I had to turn it off and wait for the room to cool naturally (windows don’t open at all so I couldn’t use that option to let cold air in). 3. Drapes. The drapes did not open / close smoothly in their tracks. Every time I tried adjusting them, I thought I might break them as I had to use so much force to move them. 4. Hallways. Most disappointing was the staff’s carts cluttering the hallway right outside my door. The first night I thought maybe the cleaning staff forgot to put it away. But the second night there were even more carts there. Going in and out of my room, I had to see these carts right outside my room door on both sides. I’ve never experienced a hotel that literally leaves it’s dirty laundry out in the hallways all the time!

No doubt is the best hotel in Colorado Another great stay. From the beginning to the end our stay was flawless. Mose checked us in and she was a great host. Our room was not ready as we have arrived early 😉 then Kennedy surprised us with a nice upgrade incredible attention to design detail. Special thanks to the great front desk team, which was world-class, and to Kennedy which made sure we won’t forget this vacation. Everything was amazing! The food, staff, amenities just every piece was incredible. We highly recommend this place for anyone who is looking to spend time in paradise 😊
