The Brown Palace Hotel and Spa, Autograph Collection, is steeped in historic charm and offers a vibrant atmosphere with live music, which many guests adore. However, while the location is praised for its convenience and quietude, opinions on the rooms vary, with some finding them spacious and others experiencing maintenance issues. Service quality also shows inconsistency, with experiences ranging from impeccable to disappointing.
Guests commend the cleanliness overall, but housekeeping occasionally falls short. Despite the variety of amenities, the value proposition is questioned by those who feel the costs outweigh the benefits.

Loved, loved, loved our stay! The staff went out of their way to provide us a beautiful top of the Brown room with a sweet and delightful surprise as this was also a special birthday for me. I think the bed was one of the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in. Bathroom was deluxe!
Everyone writes about the beauty and historical charm and it is all that and more! The Christmas decorations took it to another level. Just spectacular!
The front desk provided us the best, cleanest tasting high elevation bottled spring water which was complimentary any time. This was very handy as we walked everywhere throughout LoDo. ~ Location is fantastic!
Winding down with a fine cigar and after dinner drink in Churchill's was especially nice for my husband.
We also treated ourselves to a few spa treatments which were superbly relaxing, a nice way to end our vacation and get back on a plane.
While we loved the hotel & spa experience, I think next time we'd likely eat meals elsewhere. We arrived late and since it was very cold, we went to Ship Tavern and ate our dinner there at the bar which really wasn't anything particularly special. The pub seemed extremely busy & noisy ( yes, it was the Sunday evening after Christmas, to be expected ), but the service and food was just okay. At one point I had to ask a waitress for a condiment since the bartender was no where in sight, so that was a little disappointing.
We also had breakfast in Ellington's and again, it's expensive and not really remarkable. ( Actually, to be honest, the coffee was warm and a tad bitter to the taste. ) Service in Ellington's was very attentive though. I needed to eat before my early spa treatment but I urged my husband to leave the hotel and eat elsewhere which he did and was much happier.
We did not participate in the high tea, that would not have been of interest for my husband, but I think it looked really nice. Hoping to bring some friends with us next time and us gals could do that & the spa while our guys go hit some breweries and a game.
I really can't wait to come back! The hotel is truly elegant!
But with so many good restaurants available in easy walking distance, that's what we will be doing next time, cold or not.
Actually the hotel concierge recommended an excellent place for us for our last nights supper, which was great! Ask them, they will point you in the right direction.

I just love to stay in historical accommodations, assuming it's been well maintained. This gem of a hotel was a delight. I enjoyed viewing all the old pictures of a bygone era when this hotel was in its prime. When I checked in, high tea was being served in the lobby which was so refreshing to see the hotel keep this old tradition going, and the little boys and girls dressed up while a parent or two educated them on their manners! The hotel managed fine during this Coronavirus season, as the valet, with his mask and gloves, not only carried our bags to the room, but also parked the car. The room was very comfortable (a queen room), and the bathroom was very large, with a large shower. Just lovely. Breakfast was served in the lobby, and the food was very good. I'd love to return, when all the amenities will be able to be open.

Nice getaway in the heart of downtown Denver. Holiday decorations were still up making it extra festive and contributing to the elegance of the hotel. Very convenient to restaurants and the art museum. We did not rent a car as getting from the airport and around downtown is very easy and inexpensive using local transit facilities. The 16th street mall with free trolley is only a block away. Restaurants in the hotel were good. Breakfast at the hotel convenient and with a great menu. You must remember this is an old hotel, so be patient with some things we take for granted. Overall, no substantial complaints. And the hotel is dog friendly!!

Gorgeous, historic hotel. City has grown up around it with lots of unattractive skyscrapers. The décor of the rooms is modern with comfortable beds and linens. I love sitting in beautiful lobbies after a day of sight seeing. Unfortunately they have an afternoon tea from noon to 4 and every table and sofa is set up for tea. A pianist performed during tea the accoustics were so good we could hear it in our room on the sixth floor. I sat on a chair near the elevator and enjoyed the music.
There were very few guests and the concierge and front desk were very available BUT AT CHECK-0UT my husband called the desk twice for a porter and no one showed up so he went down and got a cart.
The only amenities were shampoo / conditioner and soap and I asked for a shower cap, mouthwash and body lotion. They had no body lotion which is a normal amenity even at a Hampton Inn. We stayed two nights and were told at check-in that we would not have maid service the second day but if we wanted new linens they would put them in the room. We asked for fresh wash clothes and got them. Personally I think they were using covid to avoid maid service.
We had a great dinner in the hotel's Ship Tavern although it was very noisy. Rather than pay for their expensive breakfast we stopped at a Starbuck's a short block away.

Spent 4 nights at the Brown Palace and will not return. Stayed on the 6th floor and did not have hot water when showering. Maintenance came to the room and stated you needed to run both sinks for approximately 10 minutes before hot water arrives to the shower and was only lukewarm then. Also call for house cleaning THREE times on my 3rd day and they never arrived! When checking out BP thought they'd sneak in a couple $52 parking charges on my tab even though I'd been parking down the street each night for 1/2 this price. I mentioned all this to clerk 'Maggie' when checking out and she said 5,000 points would be added to my Marriott account. Of course they never posted. Other smaller things....no workout facility and no coffee in your room unless you specifically request.

Sick of hotels with poor water pressure and icky bath products? Look no further! There’s an overhead rain shower and more available here with excellent pressure and upgraded bath products. Bonus points for a ledge in the stand-up shower and nice decor in the bathroom. I was particularly impressed with this given it is a historic property, where the baths can sometimes be the pits. Rooms are well-appointed with comfy beds tho there is some noise, likely attributable to the property’s historic nature. Excellent dining options on site. Thrilled, as a business traveler, to see this property within the Marriott portfolio. Hate I missed the tea service but what a cute idea and lovely space ... hopefully next time!

I booked on the Marriott site which cost me $25 more than the other sites, I assumed that was because I am a Titanium Elite member and would get a free breakfast for me and my spouse. When I checked in the person at reception said "Marriott has told us not to provide free breakfasts until September" but then curiously went on to say that the restaurants and bars were all open in the hotel? I explained that my team are essential workers and we still travel every week and Marriott's are indeed providing free breakfasts for Titanium Elite members, even the lower costs properties provide a grab and go. I asked if I could then instead get the rate that was advertised online cheaper through discount site and I was told no. I know Covid 19 is hard on businesses everywhere but the messaging around this is really hard for elite members who are still travelling. If a restaurant is open for breakfast, as an elite member I should get a breakfast voucher. If the restaurant is closed, I should not. Its that simple. I called Marriott headquarters and did not get through but I did receive a response that the amenities for Elite members is solely up to the property. So this property has decided to not provide the free breakfast for titanium elite members, and should be more honest about this.

We had a great experience at this hotel from start to finish. The valet parking was quick, even though we arrived at a busy time on a Friday afternoon and the valet offered to send our luggage directly to our room. The front desk staff was so helpful, and our room was gorgeous! The beds were beyond comfortable, and I adored the soaking tub.
Later in the afternoon we headed down to the lobby for cocktails and to listen to the jazz band, which was so good. We had crab cakes which were delicious, and cocktails which were definitely not weak and well worth the cost! The service in the lobby was impeccable. I have very serious allergies and the server took great care to check with me about ingredients, and even made sure with me the oil used for frying was safe.
Later in the evening we had dinner at the Palace Arms, which was also extraordinary – both the service and the food. A manager named Izzy checked in to make sure we were enjoying our evening and even stopped by with some treats from the pastry chef. Later in the evening we stopped by for a drink at the Ship Tavern and we were delighted to find the pianist from the earlier jazz band was playing.
The next morning, we were supposed to have breakfast at Ellyngtons, but we were feeling too relaxed to get dressed. So, we instead ordered room service. The delivery was fast, and the food was amazing, especially the prime rib breakfast hash.

We are Marriott Titanium level travelers. Our one night stay was the end of a week long vacation in Rocky Mountain NP, and we were looking for something special and comfortable. There is only valet parking at a premium price ($55), so be prepared. The lobby is, of course, quite beautiful and High Tea was in full swing when we arrived. We checked in easily enough and moved in to our room on the 6th floor. After we settled in to our room (which was very DARK), I entered the bathroom. Small space, but functional. There I discovered sink had a complete crack running all the way across the bowl that allowed water to drip out into the cabinet below. Additionally, there were entire pieces of tile missing from the mounding where the floor met the wall. There were horrible scuff marks all around the entry way paint and the door jam at the entry way was really beat up from the old school chain door lock (seriously???). I understand the historical significance of this hotel and the limitations of an old building (hence the breadbox sized bathroom), but I do not understand how an Autograph level historical hotel can send a guest to a room like this with a good conscience. These are the days of COVID and guests are much fewer and farther between than usual. Perhaps one should take care of those they have? Why isn’t this property being taken care of? We have stayed in a few autograph level properties and they have all been very top notch (the St Anthony in San Antonio comes to mind), where every little detail is beautifully handled. Also, because of COVID, there was no continental breakfast offered, although we have stayed in much lower level hotels recently who have been able to do this by just having additional servers to bring your continental order to the guests to avoid guest contact with food and serving utensils. Nothing was offered in compensation. This is another swing and a miss. When this was all brought to the attention of the desk we were comped the valet parking fee. I am underwhelmed and disappointed in so many ways. Definitely NOT a 5 star experience

HI, I personally don't know? But, call the hotel, they may tell you?
I believe the renovation is complete, if you can get a room on the higher floors you should be pleased.
I was there Christmas and they did not have the buffet we had to pay
Not sure, you may want to contact them directly.
